Bluefins Falmouth, has a focus on fresh, locally sourced seafood, coupled with inspiration from local Cape Cod farm ingredients. The food was delicious. No complaints there. The first time in a restaurant where we felt we were rushed through our meal. In fact, we were given the bill before my meal was finished. My plate was taken away as I was chewing my last bite of food. It was not a relaxing dinner out.

Maybe it's because I went in on a Monday but it's standard fare sushi. I got a chef choice nigiri for 10 pieces and they just paired up 2 each of very standard tuna, salmon, yellowtail, white fish, and mackerel. Disappointing. Update (post public response since someone took the private feedback personally and not as constructive feedback): I dine at omakase based restaurants frequently - I wasn't expecting your 45 dollar "chef selection" to be flown in from Japan lol. What I do take offense to is getting the most "mall sushi" esque cuts and quality and getting PAIRS of average fish. I understand if it was two people and you wanted both people to taste this mediocrity, but it was just me. The salmon was passable, the tuna was fishy, the yellowtail was veiny and I sat there chewing it like gum a few times after I had to spit it out. Sorry, didn't want to say this all in public but since you took it there, I'll be blunt and objective. Once again, not expecting flown in fish (you're very far from an omakase experience), just better quality, and better variety instead of giving two of each (shrimp, mackerel, scallop, snapper, ikura, all visible in the box - I'm not even going to 3 grades of toro I saw - but yet I got pairs). The sushi landscape in the US isn't what it was 15 years ago - there's a lot of great options now. You're free to take this feedback in poor taste, or take it constructively. Maybe I shouldn't expect more than I received. Maybe you should update the description of your chef selection plate to be "the standard platter". Maybe I was expecting better quality from a restaurant that served (IMO the most prized part of bluefin tuna) Kama toro (which not even many omakase carry). To the readers, FWIW, their other dishes that came out looked and smelled great like the udon, the curry, the poke - surely those and the Toro must account for the high rating here - I must've ordered the wrong stuff.

If you wanted scallops, toro, uni, or fatty cuts, those are available a la carte. Chef’s Choice is not an omakase, it’s a curated introduction to the chef’s balanced style. We stand behind the quality of every piece served. We’ve seen both your public and private messages, and while feedback is welcome, the passive aggressive and condescending tone of your private message detracts from its value. Not every dish is built to impress the loudest voice, it’s crafted for those who appreciate nuance and restraint.

Always consistent food and service. Wonderful bartender - Dillon took great care of us! It’s one of our favorite spots. Lucky to be local!

Generally I love Bluefins food. This time one dish- The Volcano- wasn’t very good to our taste. So much mayo that visually helped create the Volcano on stacked sushi… but it was just way, way too much. Everything else was great- scallion pancakes, crushed cucumber salad, shrimp roll- excellent! The service was very good as always. I’ll be back but not for the Volcano!

Great food and service. Wildly overpriced. 50-100% more for comparable quality sushi at any place off Cape or in Boston. You are paying for the location. If you are splurging, go for it.
