Great as always.
Contemporary take on British cuisine in a casually elegant setting. The appetizer radish salad was underwhelming but the entree halibut delicious. Try one of the classic gin cocktails!
Service was superb and the sommelier was so attentive!!!
Waiter was knowledgeable and pleasant - food was amazing as was the view
We were here for the brunch on Sunday and really enjoyed the food. The drinks were good too. I have a 23 month old baby and the staff made our experience very comfortable!
Salad was boring with no flavor
I was taking out-of-town friends to Bluebird London because my usual restaurant in the area was closed. It was a first time for all of us and I didn’t know what to expect. Everything from the moment we walked in was exceptional. Our main server was extraordinary and the others were also great. The recommended cocktails were delicious, our entrees were fabulous and so was the dessert. It was a wonderful dinner from beginning to end. Now I have a new favorite restaurant near Lincoln center!
Angel was top notch in the service department. Many thanks for his efforts. Don’t miss the gnocchi dish (soooo good) and the halibut. Stellar!
Service was extremely slow. Ordered coffee and a cocktail and it took well over 20 minutes to get it which was only because we had to ask the server otherwise would probably still be waiting. Not very attentive towards service. In addition we were there to celebrate a birthday, notified in advance and notified front staff when checking in. They totally forgot. Not big with service
Bluebird London was a great place to grab brunch. The view was wonderful, service was great, the price is on point, and the coffee was outstanding. We loved it and we will be back!
Brunch with a view. Perfect for a late and quiet meal on a Saturday.
The food and service were excellent. It is a comfortable restaurant and we had a table by the window with a beautiful view of Columbus Circle
A very nice and cozy British restaurant with the best CP views
Second visit: the sabayon is a “killer”. Thank you Bluebird London crew. Well done.
Food was fantastic and service was amazing. Thanks Kenzie! We had brunch on a Saturday. The omelette with crab was light and fluffy and the potatoes were perfectly crunchy. The English Breakfast meats were delicious and Kenzie let me pick my eggs. The bakery basket was wonderful with croissants that rival Paris. This was all topped with an incredible view of Columbus circle. We will be back.
The vibe is great and food tastes delicious. Would recommend to anyone who first time comes to NY for visit or would want to try restaurants in Columbus circle area.
Foods are mediocre. The salad and dessert are way too sweet. The steak is over cooked. Plus, the happy hour mentioned on Open table does NOT apply to the dining room.
Service not even close to a previous visit. Restaurant Week menu Ok UNTIL the "braised ribs" were NOT RIBS, just shredded meat. Very disappointing.
Cheese plate nice.
Look forward to a "London Pride" English ale, a favorite. Did not seem even remotely fresh.
We had a delightful experience. The ambience in the restaurant is lovely. It is a beautiful space and very serene setting. If you have a table overlooking the park even better but all of the seating is comfortable and inviting. The food was fantastic. We were there for restaurant week and had the soup, salad, and pate, all of which were delicious and well portioned. The short rib and risotto were also excellently prepared. Wine list has options from the moderate to expensive so you have lots of choices. We did not have time to sit at the bar but I would definitely like to go back for a cocktail up there. Service is knowledgeable and friendly.
After many friends encouraging me to book at Bluebird for my girlfriend’s birthday, I did and absolutely do not regret my decision! The food was off the charts incredible. Frankly, everything about our experience was stellar. From the drinks to the atmosphere to the service, there was a level of perfection you don’t often find in a restaurant. We can’t wait to go back!
Service and food were excellent.
The sticky date pudding is a must.
Thank you so much! (We like it too...)
The Waldorf salad and gazpacho were amazing.
Thank you so much!
Service was non existent. Food was below average. Would not go back .
It is one of the most beautiful spaces I have eaten in, in NYC, with gorgeous views of Columbus Circle. Delicious cocktails and bread. It's a restaurant that is normally out of my price range but I decided to check it out for restaurant week. It was bad. Pate gave me a bad aftertaste, and the gazpacho tasted like just watermelon and tomato juice, nothing special. Short rib was flavorless, but good texture. Chicken was also mediocre. My table also ordered the pork chop which was over salted, and the fish and chips which was also pretty flavorless. Service was pretty slow but I'm a server so I can understand. Pouilly Fume was delicious. Overall though, I would not come back. Not worth the money.
I'm so sorry you had a bad experience! Restaurant Week is definitely supposed to be worth the money as it's so much less - so we really missed the mark on that one! I'd love for you to try us again as we've had some great reviews with RW menu and maybe we had an off day? Are you interested in speaking to me about it? Thank you!! Morgan GM email@example.com
The host was great. We wanted to do Tea Time and Restaurant Week. And didn’t occur to us for one just to do one and we shared. But the host made it great to experience both. We did restaurant week, and for Tea Time we did Bubbles and Tea (I believe that’s the name) so it came with champagne. All we did was order extra champagne and extra tea.
Everything was worth it. The experience, the food and the service was all great and on point.
Wonderful to hear!! Hope to see you again soon for bubbles and tea!
Exquisite atmosphere and the staff could not have been livelier. The $26. Restaurant week menu was not impressive in the way we were hoping. The gazpacho was ordinary, the chicken breast uninspired, and the amount of asparagus offered was merely decorative, but well cooked and tasty. I had thought that the quality of the food would match the ambience.
E were disappointed.
Great restaurant, perfect service , fabulous atmosphere, one of the more valuable restaurants in the city
The toilets are fantastic especially the music ( only the Beatles )
Thank you! Beatles are our favorite too.
Sunday brunch was eggs Benedict, several mezcal Bloody Marys, and a drop-dead gorgeous view out onto Columbus Circle and Central Park beyond. So, a very high score evidencing very high level of happiness and contentment. The value proposition might merit a vigorous discussion but after consuming the “several” beverages I lost all thoughts for complaint and just went with the flow. And the river ran through it....
By the looks of Bluebird London's web site, one would think that dinner would be this totally British experience that introduces amazing recipes from across the pond. That's not the case at all. It actually felt like a typical American restaurant filled with poorly dressed diners crammed on top of each other.
We waited about ten minutes before the maitre'd showed up at the podium. The view that we had requested in our reservation (way in advance) had fallen on deaf ears. Our table was jammed, uncomfortable and had a view of disorganized chaos.
The entire restaurant was a bit of a mess. Furniture everywhere. I guess as an attempt to maximize the high rent of TW Center, every square foot had been designated for another diner. It didn't feel open or high-end at all – although the menu prices did.
Our food was quite good and our server was great. The food wasn't English by a long shot and neither was our server – nor was anyone that we came in contact with.
The bar can only accommodate English drinks. Apparently, the bar isn't equipped to handle a mojito.
Overall it's not a bad restaurant, but if you're looking for traditional English fare, I would suggest choosing a good Indian restaurant.
Went for a Restaurant Week dinner menu and everything was delicious. The decor is also beautiful and we were seated by a large window overlooking Central Park. I plan to come back for another meal!
Amazing food, great atmosphere and the service was outstanding. Great wine, timing of the food delivery was perfect and we can’t wait to go back.
The time ambiance was nice, Ms. Diamond who sat us was very professional, knowledgeable and kind. THANK YOU Diamond 👌🏾🙏🏾. The waiter also was professional. I go there regularly and will continue to do so.
The waiter Vladimir was very professional and kind 👍🏾👌🏾
Great fun. Easy to love food. Good wine list. VERY friendly service and great view. Great addition to Columbus Circle.
Go for the view and the lovely room. Service is spectacular at lunch. Food is OK. Be warned they don't keep the dining room very clean carpets and windowsills were filthy today.
Lovely meal and food. Would have been 5 stars but the air conditioning was broken and it was quite hot. The view was pretty and wish them well. Hope they got the air conditioner fixed.
Always great! Good food and service!
Amazing Food, Atmosphere, Service and location!
We've been wanted to dine at Bluebird since it opened and had read mixed reviews. We couldn't have been more impressed with every single thing about this place. Love it, love it, love it.
You walk in and it's just gorgeous, bright and inviting. We had a table by the window (with a spectacular view to Columbus Circle), but couldn't stop commenting on the beauty inside, it's a perfect example of mid-century modern interior. Beatles music playing just added to my love of this place... Really sets the tone.
Before I get to the food, which was amazing, we have to say the service was amazing. Wish I had her name, but she was training a new server and was so sweet and helpful. She started by asking if I'm a Gin drinker (okay, London based restaurant I get it!), so yes. She then recommended Beef Wellington, which we've never had.
Let me me tell you, the Berry Nice Gin and Tonic was so refreshing and the Beef Wellington was cooked to perfection. My wife had a lobster pasta dish which she absolutely loved. She also had a mock-tail our server recommended and loved.
We've lived in the area for 7 years and dine out way to much, so trust me when I say you've got to give Bluebird London a try. You won't be disappointing.
Beautiful restaurant overlooking Columbus Circle, unfortunately the food is below standard, especially the brunch - the choices are very limited and some of the dishes are poorly conceptualized and poorly executed (e.g., the baby kale salad - there is nothing “baby” about this dish, so difficult to chew that it was like eating grass). The menu on Opentable was wrong - the “All Day” menu is not available all day - it’s not available during brunch time. No wonder the restaurant was less than half full during brunch time on a Saturday.
It’s such a beautiful restaurant at such a great location, really wish the food could be better.
It's always a challenge to find a good spot to dine before Lincoln Center. You don't want to be too far away or take on a tasting menu, but you do want to start your evening off on a good note. That's why we are so pleased we found Bluebird London. Dinner was delicious and the staff was delightful. (They responded promptly and thoroughly to last year's feedback, switched up the menu and either hired new people or put everyone through training.) The risotto was amazing: the rice was rich and the veggies still had a little crunch. The fish was cooked to perfection with crispy skin and delicate flesh. And the rhubarb granita hit the spot on a warm night. We've already spread the word to friends and are happy to share our thoughts on OpenTable.
