We had wonderful food served by a super amazing young lady.
My wife and I are both foodies. This was one of the best meals we have ever had. Superb. Wished I lived in Seattle now.
We have always held this place in high regard so we were shocked when the salmon arrived well done. When it was replaced by a "correctly" cooked piece, it was actually barely warm on the inside - not the medium rare that is promised. The beet salad was oddly too sweet. The wine list incorrectly described a bottle of wine so we ended up with a bottle we weren't expecting. The kitchen must have had a turnover in cooks or it was a bad night - whatever the reason, we won't be dining here again.
Outstanding seafood with great oysters and cioppino. Has a varied menu but the seafood is no nonsense and fresh as can be.
Awful, bad service and mediocre food.
Early Sunday dinner before Hamilton at the Paramount Theater. Our 3rd time dining. Great food and great service every time!
I have eaten at Blue Acre Seafoods on three other occasions in the past and was very happy with the food. However, on this occasion, I was shocked at the poor food and food selection. We ordered an Asian inspired shrimp dish, gumbo, and a beet salad. When the shrimp dish arrived, it was clearly the wrong order. It took a while for the servers to recognize the error and take away the food. And it took awhile to serve the correct entre. Unfortunately, the correct order was not very good so we did not finish the food. The gumbo was mostly big chunks of duck and sausage with little else including liquid. The beet salad was quite large and satisfactory. We took the excess home. The servers made an effort to make thing right and were pleasant enough. The charge was pricey even if the food had been acceptable. I won't go back.
The servers started cleaning the restaurant before we finished eating. Very inconsiderate and not hygienic.
Food was awesome, Crab cake was the best I had in town, The clams and Sausage was super good, Baked oysters were tremendous, both of the desserts were great and the rhubarb tart was off the hook!
Quick 2 day visit to Seattle and had to have seafood and made the right choice.
The food was ok. The prices are elevated because it's in the middle of Seattle. 20% tip added automatically, which is not uncommon now, but something to note.. Our server was really sweet and did her absolute best, despite being super busy. They had an interesting oyster bar, but I don't do oysters so I can't rate that.
My husband's lobster was ok, probably close to standard market prices. My swordfish was dry, the shrimp on top were very poorly fried, as were the potato slices underneath, creating a really greasy plate. I'm not sure if the fry issues was a one-time thing or not. Slight taste of frozen shrimp and fish, so maybe the shrimp didn't defrost completely and/or the oil wasn't quite hot enough.
I had hot tea at the end of the night to settle my stomach from the greasy food. I automatically got charged double for the tea, leading to a $9 pot of (good) camomile tea.
The drink menu was very interesting, but I didn't try them. If I went back, I probably would, but I doubt I will go back.
The only thing that was truly excellent was the tater tot appetizer. That was freakin amazing!
The food was good, service good, and ambiance is good. Nothing to get overly excited about. As a word of warning, they add 20% service charge to the bill and the server reminds you that he only gets 30% of that. What is that supposed to mean? Anyway, we will cross it of our list.
Overall a great dining experience. The food is wonderful - their crab cake is amazing and worth the occasional splurge. It's a small detail but they have wonderful salted, flavored butter for the bread. My favorite entree is the black cod; my husband loves the king salmon. There only thing I've had I don't recommend is the potatoes Minneapolis - basically a giant hash brown.
The service is superb. It can take a while but the staff are very nice and knowledgeable.
The one disappointment is decor/ambiance. For such a nice restaurant it seems a bit dated and dumpy. But that's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things.
We were celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary. Our meal was delish, service was excellent, very attentive. The jumbo crabcake is one of my favorites, and it did not disappoint. Nice evening.
Dinner before seeing Hamilton. Prompt service and delicious salad and salmon!
Awesome fresh seafood. Excellent service, good wine list. Portions are huge.
The host sat us within 5 minutes of our reservation time, even though the restaurant was bustling with diners. We had kind of a tight timeline, as we were going to the theater after dinner, our server did a magnificent job regulating our meal timing. We had plenty of time to walk to the theater, yet never felt rushed during our meal.
The food was wonderful from app to dessert, Blueacre has an outstanding variety of dishes available. The Oysters Casbarian and Dungeness Crab & Bay Shrimp Tater Tots were delicious appetizers. I also enjoyed the Duck & Anidouille Sausage Gumbo - just like dining in Louisiana. The Spicy Fried Draper Valley Farms Half Chicken and King Salmon were prepared to perfection.
I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE FOOD AND SERVICE. THE QUALITY OF FOOD AND PRESENTATION WAS GREAT. THE FIXED PRICE THREE COURSE MENU WAS A GREAT VALUE.
The salmon was super tasty.
Always great meal & service!
We went for a late lunch after arriving in Seattle. The food was wonderful and the service attentive. As it was a late lunch, we were one of the only people in the restaurant. We had an appetizer, salad and split an entree. Perfect amount of food. We will definitely go back.
Excellent service and delicious food!
The food was amazing...our server David was phenomenal.im definitely coming back
The Sea Bass/Black Cod was amazing dish, highly recommended!
Salads were all yummy, fish was perfectly cooked (not overdone like at many other places) and service was top notch.
Very good experience. The angry crab is a lot of work to eat. This restaurant includes a 20% service fee in the bill so be prepared.
Food and service were very good. We took a duplicate order of our entrees home as leftovers because the meal was so tasty. Blueacre never lets us down.
Crab was AMAZING!
We have had some really great meals at Blueacre Seafood; unfortunately, tonight's meal was just ok. The lobster was chewy. The salmon was seasoned nicely, and cooked perfectly; but, was placed on top of gummy potato slices. Every course was rushed, even though we made it clear that we were slow eaters. There was no need to free up a table for the next diners. Although the restaurant appeared to be fully booked at the beginning of our meal, by the end of our meal, it was only at 50% capacity.
Dining before theater. Food was great. Service was good to begin with, then we were forgotten until dinner served.
We had to ask for another round of drinks after they sat empty for quite a while
We felt the automatic 20% tip added on bill was too
much for service received. We like to determine our own tip...if service is great we will tip even higher than what was added. Felt the automatic tip meant server didn’t have to pay as much attention to clients.
The winter three course menu is well priced and offered a great selection and generous portions. It took longer than ideal to correct wrong entree served for one diner but overall the service was good. Finally, a restaurant where you can hear each other speak even when the restaurant is full.
The staff was wonderful. The food was not great. Several liked the gumbo. The Nordstrom salad was not good. It doesn't have a nice presentation and a lot of the lettuce is bitter. Left more than half.
The ambiance is nice and location downtown is very convenient for business lunches.
Always great food- seriously delicious. Cannot go wrong with any dish.
great food. highly recommend.
20% flat service fee for a party of two? And why is the 20% tip placed on the tax?
Another amazing Kevin and Terresa Davis restaurant
Service was very slow and when it did arrive, it was lukewarm. There were not many gluten free options for one of our diners. The fish was excellent, even if it wasn't hot enough. After 1 1/2 hours, we had to request the dessert included in the winter menu in a take home box.
Went for a birthday. Dinner was yummy but didn’t get even a scoop of ice cream for the birthday. Nothing. Quite bummed.
I’ve been here before and experienced the same issues with confusion and slow service at the tables. Appetizers at the side bar were much more prompt.
We went here for a pre-theatre show. The waitress was very conscious of our time frame and offered some options for appetizers, drinks, meals. We both had a great ginger drink. I had a crab cake and beet salad which was wonderful. Prices were high, but food was wonderful.
