good food at fair price. perhaps the freshest fish in Seattle
As usual, good service, great menu, and very good food.
The food was not up to standard. Cioppino was very watery and even though it was priced at $20, there was literally 1 shrimp, 3 small pieces of fish, LOADs of pasta and some mussels and clams. The fries were so heavily salted that even the salt lovers at the table could not eat them. Our waiter forgot our appetizer order. The restaurant was very quiet at this time ... it had maybe 2 other tables with guests so it cannot be said that it was too busy. As we paid our bill, we said we would not be back. The manager was great in trying to understand our issues and to help us out with the bill. However, one of the chefs in the kitchen, made a point to come out and ask the waiter which table was complaining. He glared at me from the kitchen entrance but did not make any attempt to try to explain the disappointment we had in the food.
Just to be clear, we have been frequent guests here in the past so this is not a first time experience but this was our first visit back after a year. Definitely won't be back.
Excellent selection of fresh oysters which were delicious.
Fried fish was a little too heavily battered - fish itself nice and fresh.
Very tasty food, as always!!
New Year’s Eve dinner. Excellent food great wait staff. Will definitely be back
Not sure what was going on but this was the worst service I’ve ever had. Yes, it was New Year’s Eve, but for the price I paid, the restaurant provided some of the worst service I’ve ever had. Won’t be going back. Don’t staff up your restaurant and accept reservations if you can’t handle the load. We were sat directly across from a super loud table of 20+ people when I specifically asked for a special “date” table, had to ask several times for a refill of anything to drink, had to load my own to go box, and then ask for a bag to carry them home. When you charge what this place does and call yourself a gourmet and fine dining establishment, act like it. Really had a chance to shine but instead ruined what was supposed to be a great, romantic dinner before ringing in the New Years. And thanks for forcing me to pay the 20% gratuity...wasn’t earned on any level.
BEING THAT IT WAS NEW YEARS EVE THEY HAD ADDED SEVERAL EXTRA TABLES AND IT WAS CRAMPED. WE ASKED FOR A BOOTH AND THE HOST SAID HE DIDNT KNOW IF THEY WERE AVAILABLE, ALTHOUGH THERE WERE SEVERAL BOOTHS EMPTY AT THE TIME BUT HE NEVER EVEN CHECKED FOR US SO WE STAYED AT THE TABLE THAT WAS CRAMPED WITH OTHER TABLES.
We had an early New Year’s Eve dinner (monkfish and troll caught salmon) and it was delicious! Wine recommendation was good and the service was great!
Dav, our waiter was awesome and definitely enhanced our experience. The New Orleans undertones throughout the menu stole my heart! Everything was fantastic.
