The service was spectacular and every recommendation was spot on! The oysters were outstanding and a really broad fresh selection. Our mains of Kasu marinated Alaskan Black Cod and the the Angry Dungeness crab were both incredible!!
Food was excellent! Service was awful, especially an issue when tip is include.
After traveling all day, I wanted a quiet spot for dinner close to the hotel. The Blueacre was a great choice and fit my needs. The service was timely and attentive. The food was great! I had the blackened cod with a cup of clam chowder before dinner. Thee was a table in the corner with a very loud lady who prompted the noice rating. I’m not sure if the restaurant were crowded that I would have noticed the loud voice so much.
Excellent sea bass dinner. Nice pairing with a lovely Viognier wine in.
I’m not sure if the chef was having a bad day for lunch. I had high expectations based on Yelp reviews but everything was just bland and tasteless. Service was excellent. Not going back due to the food.
Easy to get to seafood restaurant in downtown. The service was great! We ordered the Black Cod and Tuna. The Cod was terrific but the Tuna was disappointing. It had little flavor and the crust tasted more as an add on than a compliment to the tuna. Tuna is one of my favorite entrees but this was very underwhelming as far as flavor. The seaweed salad (very small amount) was tasty as well as the oysters and chowder. They have an extensive cocktail menu with classic drinks. I ordered a Sidecar for the first time. We opted not to get dessert because we were full and didn't think it was going to justify the extra calories :-)
The large restaurant seems like a typical high-end seafood place but not as local as we had hoped. It was fine for a date night but we were just a little disappointed that it didn't seem to live up to the reputation of being one of the top 10 places in the city when it came to the flavor of the food. We came away with "it is OK" rather than, "can't wait to return".
Worst experience I’ve had at a “nice restaurant” ever. Service was horrible, food was worse and to still have a bill of almost 200$ with a mandatory 20% tip I was enraged. I’ll never return to this establishment it completely ruined mine and my girlfriends Valentine’s Day.
Unorganized. Never offered another drink, soup was cold, bread was cold. Main course looked like it was dropped on the plate in a big pile.
The food was great and the waiters were very friendly and attentive. However despite the reservation we didn’t get seated until 35 minutes later. The person who seated us was not welcoming and it took a long time to get our main course. Other than that I would have rated it 5 stars.
Valenties day check in with host was a mob scene, but perhaps to be expected. Had to wait a almost 45min past our reservation time to get a table. Servers were rushed and not able to manage the tables well. The food was amazing and would be a wonderful place on a normal night!
Overbooked on reservations and we had to wait for a table for 45 minutes. Food was mediocre but expensive, oysters were delicious though. Decent service as well, but probably won’t be back. Really wasn’t that special.
It was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. The food was incredibly delicious.
Spent valentines evening there, the food and service was great. I will definitely be back here!
Good service, good food. Best seafood in Seattle—and that’s saying something.
It was our first time here and we were celebrating a birthday. We all enjoyed our meals, and the service was good. Appreciated the convenient free parking in the garage. One minor complaint was that the bread was not complimentary and it was a bit dry and hard. Also, I don’t mind the 20% service charge, but the overall total seemed pricey for what we experienced. Overall it was good but nothing made it extra special.
Food came out cold, server didn’t want to split the soup after she said it was possible, no utensils provided with the lobster to crack the shell, potatoes were literally just two small potatoes with nothing on them.
Loved their grapefruit themed drinks - especially the Unjust Enrichment. The food was exquisite and the service was amazing. A hot spot for the younger crowd for sure.
This was our first time eating at Blueacre but we will be back. Our waitress was delightful and attentive. She gave great advice on the menu and the wines. We enjoyed every bite of our meal. We will be back!
Last nite together in Seattle! Wanted nice dinner, but our party kept changing in attendees so I had to keep changing in open table. When we finally arrived at restaurant host says so how many is it(in a really uppity tone!)? Wow! For real? This is a really nice restaurant! He shows us to the table(beautiful!) and throws the menus down on the table! Now we might not have been as dressed as he liked but no need to thumb your nose at us! Server was really nice, but by now we had enough, lost our appetites, we decided we couldn’t eat where we weren’t wanted. Do no review on food since we didn’t eat. But beautiful restaurant!
Ordered Crab legs.......only got the snipped off pieces of the crab legs or the joints so to speak.......plus the claws. Best part was not provided. Really disappointing.
very nice place and good food. pricey
I visit and recommend friends and colleagues to Blueacre Seafood very often. The food is excellent and servers are professional, friendly, and competent. The Biscuits & Gravy were delicious on Sunday and my friend was complimentary of here Benedict, as well. We were neither rushed nor inundated by noise. Perfectly start to a Sunday afternoon.
The menu and food selected were excellent. The service was SUPERB. We were seated in the "south" dining room on this visit. For a very busy Saturday night, this is the place to sit for conversational relaxed evening. The main room is moderately noisy when busy.
Great wait staff. The service was prompt and the food was delicious.
Good service with reasonable pricing. I can recommend for casual, mid-level business dinner.
For the price paid service was not up to par. Dinner arrived while we were still eating appetizers. Appetizer plates sat dirty on the table for a good portion of dinner. Dinner plates cleaned but table was not, leaving desert/coffee to be enjoyed on a post dinner, dirty table. Coffee and sweetener served with no spoon. Food was good but at this price point one could have better prepared dishes across town.
The server was friendly and happy to provide recommendations. The wine list had good options and price points were actually not bad.
This was probably my 5th or 6th time eating here. I felt like it’s slipped from my prior experiences
First visit to Blueacre prior to an evening show at the Paramount. Arrived early enough to avoid any rush, and were seated promptly. Nice open layout and simple contemporary decor. Service was friendly and efficient; attentive but not hovering. Drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts very good. Will come again.
Food was outstanding. Seafood was perfectly prepared and highly recommend the crab tater tots for appetizer. Service was good, just a bit chaotic at first with four different servers coming to engage us. Would definitely go back. Was a bit pricey - $325 for four people only the one appetizer and 3 beverages.
Overall great food and atmosphere, service was not great and gratuity was already included which i do not agree with.
Had good food ,
Price is reasonable on some items and crazy on some others . The change to the interior makes the ambiance a little louder
Overall good place !
Blueacre was a recommendation when we asked about great seafood. The service and ambiance of the restaurant were wonderful. The food was just okay. My husband ordered the cioppino and was not impressed...he said the flavor was bland. I ordered the Mahi stuffed with blue crab. My Mahi was VERY undercooked; however the blue crab was wonderful. We ordered the tator tot casserole as an appetizer, which was excellent and our 1 year old loved the kids Mac n Cheese
The food was uniformly outstanding. The oysters and fish and crab were particularly memorable. The service was friendly and efficient. This was our engagement anniversary dinner and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The deserts were unique and well-crafted, and the cocktails and wine delightful. It was all-around a terrific experience.
Our waitress, Jennifer, was very attentive. We had a quiet, spacious booth and it was a very nice evening. The oysters were fresh and well-presented, despite a minor snafu on the order and identity of them. I hate the automatic 20% service charge. Despite the charge, we'll likely be back.
Good meal, Strong drinks, excellent friendly service. We have been back several times
I made reservations for dinner for my fiancé the same evening for 8:30 pm. When we arrived, the host/hostess were not at the front entry (which was not surprising because it was NYE and a busy evening). After a few minutes, a waitress who was getting ready to sit a couple asked me if I was waiting for a table. I told her that earlier in the evening, I made reservations via open table. She explained because my reservations were made recently, the restaurant was not checking the reservations queue. (This was odd to me because it’s one of the business nights of the year). As she was telling me this, the host or manager walked by and checked (what looked like) a seating list. I then asked her if we could sit at the bar as she grabbed menus and proceeded to walk a couple to their seat. She said it was fine to do so if we found space. After she left and as I was about to check the bar, that host or (possibly) manager (I’m guessing—since he was dressed in business casual attire and not in black uniform as the waitress and other waiters walking around) nearly bumped into me as he grabbed menus to sit another couple who were waiting to be seated. When he came back after sitting the couple, he didn’t acknowledge me or asked if I was being helped. He just checked the waiting list again and looked around and told a couple near me that their table would be ready in a few minutes and thanked them for waiting. After he greeted that couple, he just continued to check the list and walk around the restaurant. So I felt frustrated that I wasn’t greeted since he seemed to be the host or manager of the restaurant seating patrons. After the third time he came back to the front and didn’t acknowledge me, I decided to leave the restaurant.
I completely understand that it was busy, but I was only one of less than a handful of guests waiting at the front desk. I felt like he could have been more attentive to me after the concerns I addressed with the waitress. His lack of service was rude.
Even with a reservation, we were sat at the worst table in the restaurant. After pressing to move, the placed us at a table in the bar area where there was one server in a full room. She didn’t seem super knowledgeable about the menus and appeared stressed out. She checked up on us every 5 minutes which was a bit of overkill, almost annoying. The food was fine, not amazing. Overpriced. Experience wasn’t horrible but probably will not be going back. I’d hope they were just understaffed and underprepared for the NYE dinner rush and this isn’t always the ambiance.
This is the second time we’ve been to Blueacre Seafood on New Years Eve. What an amazing place to welcome a new decade! Thank-you Chef Kevin. Our meal was spectacular...and we will be back! Blessings in 2020!
Best seafoods as always. Best raw oyster species. Great service from Coleen (or Kaleine?)
The food was very very good. The waiter only ok. Nice atmosphere.
