We shared two starters and a main dish .. one of the starters was excellent the other two dishes were ok .. for the price I would have hoped that all the dishes would be excellent
Both the food and service were outstanding!
However, it was so loud, my guest and I had to shout at each other.
The fellow greeting guests at the door needs serious coaching! No smile, clipboard in hand he stares at you then gruffly asks if he can help? This is the second encounter with him- doesn't set the stage for a great dining experience. Food was good and service was good.
Great seafood with always good service. Nice friendly wait staff-my family and I eat there at least once a month. Wine steward excellent if you are in to trying new things.
Not a good value for the money. Waiter was in a hurry to get us out. He was clearing plates when only one of three guests was done eating. Alaskan black cod piece of fish was small.
Don’t miss the crab cake and the sourdough appetizers. There will be room for the excellent entrees. Unfortunately, there was no room for the amazing-looking desserts.
Omg the spicy Dungeness crab!!
Awesome food and service!
A must if in Seattle!
Flavorless salmon and black cod. Disappointing!
Our server Brianna was outstanding, and her colleague Gregory as well. Excellent, knowledgeable and efficient. The best dining experience in a long long time!
We went there because of Crab Legs and Live Lobster as advertised but they were out of King Crab Legs and the lobsters were only 1 1/2 pound. I ordered 2 of the lobster and my husband had the Dunguness crab . The lobsters were barely prepared to be served table-side... shell not cracked or split to make eating reasonable. My mistake in ordering lobster on the West coast. Would gladly have had King Crab legs had they been available.
Didn't stay to eat. An out of control screaming child at 8:30 PM in an extremely expensive restaurant really put us off.
Fantastic seafood. Very poor service with no option to tip less than 20%. Disappointed with overall experience, though food was exceptional.
I brought my husband here for his birthday because I’ve always heard amazing things about Blueacre. It did not disappoint. Ron and his serving partner (can’t recall his name) we’re so pleasant and provided amazing service which made the dining experience that much better. I had the cioppino, which was amazing! My husband had the black cod which was also delicious. Cannot wait to come back.
Food was excellent as was the service. Blue acre is always a dependable choice. A great place to take guests from out of town to give them a Seattle seafood experience.
Celebrated our 26th anniversary with a delicious dinner of oysters, black cod, swordfish and really delicious hash browns. All excellent! The only item that wasn’t as good as the other food was the peach tart. Mostly crust and little peach. Nice scoop of ice cream made it tasty though. A go to place for fresh fish and great service on downtown Seattle.
Food was very good. Very expensive. Service poor.
We've loved Blueacre since they opened; it's been one of our go-to places in Seattle. Food and service are consistently very good. We do, however, feel that prices are getting too high for what we get in return. It makes me sad to write that.
Crab cakes were what I was looking for and Blueacre didn't disappoint. My heirloom salad was wonderful, but a little short on mozzarella. Peach tart was very good but if it was warmed up just a little it would be heavenly. Second dinner was also excellent, my daughter didn't want onions on her salad but got them but other than that everything was as ordered. Thank you. Excellent team play.
Blueacre didn't live up to its hype. I've had better sourdough bread. The artisan berry salad was saturated w/ dressing which was too vinegary. The scallops were good, but not worth the price. My idea of elegant, fine dining is not in a noisy place, w/ customers dressed in cargo pants, t-shirts and baseball caps. $200 down the drain for what? To pay for Blueacre's high rent location? Very disappointing!
Overpriced and not good.
We were just off a cruise ship and this meal was the best of the week! We ate in all of the premium restaurants on board and noting compared to this meal. Especially loved all the drink names as husband is a lawyer
Fantastic food, always changing their menu
My table of 9 had the most delicious dinner at Blue Acre! Ally the general manager was able to work us in despite how busy the restaurant was after several more guests joined us at dinner. Service was outstanding and attentive. The angry dungeoness crab was amazing! What a fun and delectable evening.
A bit pricey, they were out of king crab, our table was too small, a 2 person table for 5 of us, and they added the tip on to the bill, instead of letting us decide.
The food was delicious, although the price point was a little steep in comparison to other competitors in the area such as Daniel’s Broiler or Salty’s on Alki. This is also not a place for children nor people of color. The amount of looks and staring that took place was really uncomfortable,
The food and atmosphere here is so great. Servers are very friendly too! They have the best oysters, prep and presentation of anyplace in Seattle.
It was very pleasant but they forgot about one of our items until later
Food was incredible and the service was outstanding! There was quite a few screaming children which was unfortunate. But overall the experience was positive and I would definitely return when in Seattle next!
Great seafood and easygoing staff. Everything was as described and good recommendations from the waiter.
I took an out-of-town guest here. He had the salmon I had the swordfish they were both lovely. Definitely one of the pricier spots to go in town we spent $115 and had no salad, starter or wine just the entrée and water.
This restaurant had 4.5 stars on Yelp and was near my hotel. I was really looking forward to a nice seafood dinner while in Seattle but was quite disappointed. First of all, this “fine dining” restaurant does not even use tablecloths on their laminate table tops. Silverware is rolled up in a napkin atop a bread plate - for which you will need to pay extra. Not the ambiance you would expect for this price point. The menu is very expensive, starting at $34 and up to $60+ for simple, a la carte dishes. I ordered scallops, 4 for $44. My associate ordered the black cod, also $44. Neither dish was exceptional. The 4-bite $18 crab cake appetizer was also lack luster. The food runner auctioned our plates to us and did not even place mine in front of me. To top it off, the restaurant charges an automatic 20% service charge. Very disappointing all around. I will never return to this place and would not recommend. Go to a tried and true place like Ruth’s Chris.
This was a recommendation from my son. He sure has good taste! The Mussel appetizer, which we split, could have been a meal -- don't forget the sourdough bread to sop up the broth or, grab the spoon and eat it as a soup. I did both.
Going to the paramount
Amazing seafood in a modern but inviting environment. Service is top-notch! Always a reliable, delicious experience.
Everything we ordered here was so good! The King Salmon was pricey but worth it if you're sharing. Our server was friendly. The ambiance could have been better if they didn't place us off to the side of the restaurant that was kind of away from all the energy and modern decor of the restaurant. One positive thing about being placed in that section of the restaurant was that it felt like we had the room to ourselves. We will definitely come back but we will ask not to be secluded in that room.
I saw the waiter twice. Once when I ordered and once when I requested the cheque.
I thought the service poor at best but was unpleasantly informed a tip had been included in the total cheque, maybe that explains the bad service.
The food was edible but not worth the $18.00 for crab cakes or the $48.00 for the salmon both of which were underwhelming.
I won’t go back.
I would recommend to a friend if they were going to the theatre or some other event, but not just to visit this restaurant. The food was good, nothing exceptional, service was very good.
I would not recommend this restaurant. we sat for over 25 min with only water on the table, the waiter was arrogant and I can see why. The restaurant automatically charges 20% service charge so there is no incentive for the waiter to provide you good service. We were celebrating our 33rd anniversary and it was the WORST experience EVER.
