View Private Dining DetailsThey ran out of ribs and brisket. What’s the point of being open after that?
very fire 🔥🔥🔥
We had a casual date in the ‘hood. My husband enjoyed the burnt ends and all the fixings: mac n’cheese (one of his favorites anywhere), coleslaw, and baked beans. He also had the wedge which was good with mammoth cubes of bacon around the edge of the plate. Avocado was a nice addition to the classic salad, too. I enjoyed the grilled oysters and the salmon which were both quite good. The service was friendly and adequate in spite of a large party seated directly after us.
food was horrible - flavorless, cold and the brisket was hard like a shingle. Service and atmosphere were great but I will not return for that alone.
Got there early for lunch (11:30). Place was empty. Waitress had the right balance if always being available but not being pushy. Food was very good.
Cena en pareja después de un día de largo de turismo neoyorquino. Lo que necesitábamos, muy buena comida en ambiente relajado con una atención de 10.
Muchas gracias
We love this place. Everytime we go there is excellent service and excellent food. The vibe is friendly and they are very good accommodating babies and kids. Neighborhood fave!
Great appetizers especially the cheese pimiento and fried bread, oysters and pork cracklin. The brisket and baby back ribs are good and moist but the port shoulder was a bit dry. The Mac and Cheese side is tasty as well as the coleslaw. The pork and beans was too sour for my taste. Dessert is good. I recommend the begnei with decaffeinated coffee sauce. The key lime pie was served too cold and too tangy. Our waiter was attentive and have good advice.
Great experience. Food was slamming.
I love you
Whenever we are in New York we make it a must!! We visit family in area and visit often
I liked it. Please note that the special ribs should be sold in half portion. They are not a slab and can are equal portions. Management refused to accommodate request. Wait staff said many customers request a half portion. Current portion suitable for two or more. Menu does not indicate portion size.
The food was ok. The sweet potatoes mashed seemed like it was microwaved and it was overheated. The brisket was good. The servers were very nice and very attentive that I felt like saying, please stop by when I finish eating. We had liked four different servers come to our table to the point that they kept interrupting our conversation with my bff. I made reservations for 2 and made a note to sing happy birthday to my bff. Well after 5 minutes we sat down, the server was like a little birdie told me it’s someone birthday. I was like really! You couldn’t wait till we finished our dinner so you can come over and sing or wish my bff’s happy birthday. On top of that that the servers didn’t stop at the table to sing or at least wish my bff happy birthday especially the server that spoiled it instead a male server (he was slim and has a beard) came over with a small vanilla ice cream and candle and wished my bff happy birthday. That was very sweet of him and handsome (lol). I don’t know but I think the servers need to know when it’s appropriate to come to the table. We just felt like they were hovering over us to vacate the table. Overall, it was a good experience.
This was our 4th visit and on this occasion was for my best friends reunion from out of town, food is excellent, the place is cool, the drinks, whiskeys and beers options are great, we really spend a great time together, I recommend the pulled pork and the mac & cheese.
It was great! My water glass was never empty
Fun place for a group of friends and family to meet and have a good time. Food is good, service was very good. Been here before and ate/drink at the bar, that was also enjoyable
Always a great meal and great service.
Big Danny Meyer fans. We love to try new restaurants and will 100% come back. Our Waitress was fantastic. Knew her menu cold and never let the water glasses be empty.
Hana our server was amazing. Funny, engaging and thoughtful for our daughters first birthday!
In a few words - overpriced and out of the way.
Every time the door opened it was freezing and every table was in direct line of fire.
The food was delicious in true barbecue fashion.
The servers were super nice, but seemed a bit tuned out at times. Like returning a kids cup that spilled all over my son because it was delivered with the top slightly open. When we asked for a new one in glass. They brought an empty glass expecting us to pour the sticky partly spilled soda into the new glass.
When we asked for them to wipe the soda off the table, they only wiped half the table. We had to call them back to clean the rest.
Also we had to ask for knives twice.
Despite it all, they always cared, and in the end all was well, and the meal was fine.
Maybe just a slightly off holiday weekend evening. I am a big fan of Danny Meyers...so we will be back.
Service was disappointing and slow.
The food at this establishment is beyond wonderful. The food here will bring a literal tear to your eye. The value that you get for your money is exceptional as well.
Absolutely love Blue Smoke. I'm from Kentucky and this is the best Southern food you can find in the city. Authentic and absolutely delicious. The restaurant comes with a great walk across Battery Park City and a charming ambiance. Perfect for a date night where you actually want to be able to hear your date. Staff is so hospitable. The whiskey/bourbon/beer selection is one of the best in the city by far. I would recommend the Alabama White Wings, The Brisket, The Corn Bread Madelines and trying anything on special. Will absolutely come back. Never a bad experience.
Always consistently very good! A couple of minor service issues (dinner being served before appetizer, one of the non alcoholic beverages on the menu was not available), but what we go was delicious! Two plates, one with the seven pepper brisket and one with the pork shoulder and a sausage link - we each finished about half our plates before we got to the point of no return, too stuffed to finish. Definitely worth regular return visits.
The food is amazing! I had the chicken and it was really good. The dessert it was incredible. All the staff were super friendly!
Food was well flavored. Both the ribs and brisket were delicious. The service was polite and fast. I would recommend for a date night with your significant other. Not too noisy during the normal lunch hour.
Service was fine. Salad and combo plates were good. Grilled chicken was over salty and over priced.
My boyfriend and I went here for Sunday brunch and the food was really good. I had the pulled pork with sweet potato mash. The pork was well seasoned and tender. The biscuit the meal comes with is too die for!! My boyfriend had the brisket with the mac&cheese and that was also cooked perfectly. The house made bbq sauce is delicious!
Big dinner date with my 16 month old son! The staff was super accommodating and food was great. We’ve been here a handful of times and it never fails to be a quality meal and really good service.
My go-to is the baby back ribs, mac and cheese, biscuit and a beer, though whatever you’re in the mood for is sure to satisfy.
Very good food and great, friendly, attentive service. Went for my bday and even with the superbowl on and fans watching at the bar we were able to enjoy a relaxing, delicious meal.
It was awesome. Great food and service. Zero complaints.
I selected BlueSmoke earlier in the day to treat a friend, a good ole southern dude. How luck would have it, we read the menu and the Exec Chef Mr. Bourgeois is from Louisiana. Home of my friend! Brownie pts for me ~ Wooohooo.
Emily our server was extremely friendly & hospitable as she provided recommendations for out Hot Bourbon Cider & Tea Thyme cocktails. She also charged our cell phones when they died.
Food was so very good (except the St. Louis ribs which my friend from Louisana had, should've fallen off the bone to the touch).
But, OMG the biscuits??!, with a wonderful pop of salt??, I would be a piggy wiggly if we hadn't left. LOL.😉
P.S. immaculate restrooms!
we absolutely love this place, we’ve been coming for years. service is top-notch, food is incredible (if you love southern cooking and comfort food this is your place), ambiance is fantastic and they have allergy menus which is the icing on top of the cake. highly recommend this place whether you’re local or visiting!
Wow - great BBQ, great bourbon! We had a first meet Business meeting and this was a great first impression.
Our table was ready at our reservation time. The staff is very professional and attentive. Service is exceptional. The food is beyond BBQ fair. The meat is well seasoned and doesn’t just derive its flavor from the sauce. The sides compliment the meat and it is fun to order and share.
A breath of fresh air, service was friendly and waiter was funny.
Food was fresh and portions a good size although we couldn’t eat everything.
Coctail menu small but unque.
Would definately recommend
service was really good. The salt and pepper full rack was awesome and well served. The drinks were also pretty good. Would definitely go back.
Everything about this restaurant is wonderful. From the hostess to the busboys, everyone takes excellent care of you. The food is consistent and delicious. It is one of our favorite places for dinner.
What a wonderful experience, our waitress was the best. She gave great suggestions about the menu and all her recommendations were fabulous.
