Just Excellent, Great food, great service. We will definetly go back.
We decided to try a seafood restaurant near the Theater District. Not a traditional restaurant, more like a tapas, small plates, bar scene setting. Very quiet on a Sunday evening, but I would say the service was terrific as was most of the food. Pricey drinks and food choices in my opinion, so there are better options. Only disappointment was the piece of fish we ordered, definitely frozen and smelly. The seafood was great. But would not try again.
I live by this restaurant and have always wanted to try it out. The atmosphere is stunning and very cozy. Finally, when my parents came to visit, I decided to take them and they were blown away (as was I). My dad order the seafood pasta special and my mom and I got the braised Short Rib. My dad said it was one of the best meals he has ever had. Their beverage choices were also stellar. Would highly, highly recommend.
The tables are really tiny, difficult to hold more than a couple small plates. Had just oysters and appetizers. Fresh and tasty.
Highly recommended. We've bee there three times in the two or so months since we discovered it -- great for concerts at the Time Warner Center. It's small and charming with excellent food and professional and friendly service. A prix fixe menu during the week lasting till 7 was great value.
Extensive raw bar and tapas selections on the menu. Convenient to the theater district, but not touristy or overpriced. Service was excellent (attentive but not rushed).
Our second time there in 3 weeks and again we were very pleased with the food, service and atmosphere. It's small but comfortable all the same, and the noise level is manageable. Three of us had a pasta special with seafood -- light tomato sauce -- which was fresh and delicious and my husband said his soft shells were excellent. It is pricey but at least value for cost is there. We look forward to returning.
Nice ambiance, attentive service without being officious. Happy hour at the bar was also a great bargain, super oysters at a buck a piece, highly recommended.
Cute little place! We went for the oysters but ended up having the appetizer special—salted soft shell crab. It was delicious.
Great neighborhood place and vibe. Service was excellent. Friendly, attentive and knew her regulars. Food was fantastic. Great selection of oysters. Ordered their special. 1 dozen, 2 of each kind. West and East cost. Great value for the quality. Great late night place. Felt right at home.
Ceasar salad was not as expected. Only salad with a couple slices of shrimps. Also on The menu iT was not clear The crab was a pasta with just a bit of crab.. very unfortunate The restaurant is very Nice decorated!
Great atmosphere. Nice options at raw bar. Drinks and raw bar pricier than some other places of same quality. Bruschetta dish is amazing! Some entrees on the smaller side for the price but good quality.
Excellent food and presentation. Friendly staff. Crowded but worth it!
The service was not good at all. No attention to our table. It was not a great Brunch experience.
Great food and service.
Fabulous service and delicious food. Interesting cocktail menu. We all loved it!
My friend (the birthday girl) and I was so happy with everything. I reserved this place on a whim after looking at the menu and I am so happy I did. The waiter was so nice and we had excellent service. We had two rounds of the oyster tasting menu and I could have had four more - they were that good. We both ordered the special pan seared halibut with lemon caper sauce and grilled vegetables. I don't know what they did to make plan grilled veggies taste so good, but they were delish and the fish was perfect. I am definitely returning for dinner again and I already recommended it to others. The waiter brought my friend a panna cotta for her birthday and we ended it off with some good coffee. It made both our evening! Thank you.
Wonder atmosphere and food!!!!!
First time at this charming, small seafood/Mediterranean in the West 50s. We loved it. Great food, excellent and friendly service and lovely atmosphere. The menu is a mix of tapas, Spanish meats and cheeses and main dishes. I had one of the best grilled swordfish dishes I've ever had. It is small but we didn't feel cramped and the noise level was not too bad, although as it got later and a younger crowd came in, it did get louder. There's a good prix fixe ending at 7. It isn't inexpensive, especially for the various tapas, but certainly no more so than other places in the neighborhood. Definitely a keeper on my list.
Where do I start? The oysters were off the charts. The octopus was insane. The coffee panacotta was to die for. The service was excellent with Sylvia giving us great choices from the menu. Want good food? You won’t be disappointed. Thank you, Blue Oyster! You outdid yourself!
Went here on girls weekend to NYC. I highly, highly recommend this restaurant. The service was perfect... friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious! In our group we had the duck, the grilled seafood, the tuna, and the seafood pasta and everyone loved their meal. They even had wine specials on top rated wines! You just can't go wrong with this choice!
I found this restaurant based on other Open Table reviewers. The food was delicious and the ambiance was perfect. It was cozy and the waiter was so patient. He took his time explaining the menu and the wine. They were also great with my friend who is allergic to nuts. We cannot wait to go back.
Small space, big flavor... Everything was so good. Ordered pre theatre tasting menu and an entree, shared and there was plenty. Service was thoughtful and excellent. The Spanish octopus was the highlight. Amazing!
Love this place - perfect balance of great menu options, great vibe and value. Vegetable ratatouille is one of my favorites.
Wonderful experience ... bit pricey, but worth the money!
Had dinner with 6 of us on a NYC show weekend. The seating was a bit tight but nice atmosphere. Good pre-fixe menu and nice specials. Service was very good and all six of us enjoyed our meals which included the clams/linguine with garlic halibut special and lobster. Portions were decent size and we all thought delicious and very good value. Will likely return in future.
Moving around the block and wanted to try since it was close and so pretty Celebrated my Birthday with friends and my daughter sat at the bar for an hour which we ALL loved and than had a DELICIOUS dinner... The desserts were Out of This World!! It will be my new Hang out !
The oysters were excellent. Margherita pizza was excellent. Fritto misto was skimpy.
Such a charming place. Limited menu but a lot of specials. The food is excellent and the service very kind and effective. A place where I'll definitely go again.
chef’s 5 course tasting menu was awesome! from the crudo to the octopus to the cheese ❤️ seafood platter was great and the dessert!!!! will be back!
We had a wonderful pre-Theatre dinner-oysters, sparkling wine and great desserts! We will br back!
Visiting and a wonderful experience. Delicious food. We loved it and the atmosphere
Nice atmosphere, nice variety in the menu and reasonably priced.
Great small nyc restaurant. Limited menu but the specials were awesome. Great tapas selection. Priced in line for nyc.
Everybody loved their apps and entrees an cheesecake dessert with hibiscus sauce....outrageous!! Try this place.
The service was excellent. We tried the variety of Oysters, the charcuterie board, Mr. Krabs and the seafood platter for two. Everything was very delicious. The seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked.
I really liked this restaurant. The seafood tower was so yummy and I had great wine. The servers were really knowledgeable and attentive. Highly recommend!!
The staff were super friendly and accommodating. We were a party of 10 ladies and they went over and above with service. Everyone loved their food.
Great food and service. The seafood was incredibly fresh. One of the best restaurants in Hell’s Kitchen. Only complaint is that the tables are very small.
Nice space with very good service . however the entrées lacked any imagination whatsoever and were bland. It seemed more like a fast food restaurant at fine dining prices.
