Ambiant place. Nice to come back 😘
Blue has a warm ambiance at and is perfect for couples on a date, the food was fantastic. However, what really made the night special was the great guidance and attention of our server Ermir.
He highly recommended the Chef’s Crudo Plate ($26), which featured three selections from the menu—that night it was smoked salmon, tuna tartare and a Branzino ceviche.
We moved onto a trio of bruschettas ($12). I was pleasantly surprised by the portion size, enough for each person to try. In addition to a traditional type bruschetta served with burrata not buffalo mozzarella on top, the other two types paid homage to the Mediterranean cooking style of the restaurant, while keeping one eye on the Italian nature of the dish. Emir loved the goat cheese & ‘Nduja which is a spreadable pork sausage with roasted peppers. The last bruschetta was a Bocherones (white anchovies) and Sun-Dried Tomatoes Pesto.
Note: you can get each of the bruschettas individually for $5 apiece.
We finished our Blue experience by going to one of our favorite things to eat, a Meat and Cheese Board ($30). Blue’s version of this included two meats, the Prosciutto Di Parma and Mortadella with Pistachios, two cheeses, a Yerba Carba (herb crusted, tangy goat cheese) and Manchego. The Board also had a delicious fruit compote made from scratch, pickled garlic, nuts and rosemary focaccia. We had them add a ramekin of honey (do this, you will thank me later). The meats were wonderful and sliced almost paper thin, so tasty by themselves or with one of the cheeses. We tried every pairing possible.
Blue offers a full array of hand-crafted cocktails (Avg. $16) and a medium-sized wine list ($34-$355). We paired our food with a Pullus Pinot Grigio Rose from Slovenia ($44). Dinners run from $27-$44. Tapas are $15-22.
If you are looking for great seafood, done a little different with no decrease in taste or quality check out Blue. Ermir will take care of you.
There was very little lobster on the lobster Benedict. What was, was overcooked as was the poached egg that was essentially hard boiled
Loved this place. I will be back again and again!!
Prompt on everything
We booked a table for 5 Friends, we spent a lovely dinner in a good and friendly environment. Quality of the food and beverage was great. Price in line with the quality. Recommended!
Excellent food and service. Definitely will be back and would recommend it to friends.
We booked for a my 40th birthday. When we got there we were put at a table so small our drinks almost did not fit. It was so noisy my husband and I could not even hear each other. We left after having a drink, instead of staying for dinner which was our plan
The service at the Blue Seafood Bar was horrible! We waited nearly 30 minutes for our waiter to even acknowledge us. We had to ask another employee if we could have water while we waited. The food was expensive with little portions. It was extremely noisy in the restaurant that it was difficult to have a conversation. I would NOT recommend this restaurant. Save your money and get better service elsewhere.
Great place great food.
Tables too close. Too noisy.
One of the best brunch’s I’ve had in the city! Great deal! The food was amazing! Super friendly!!! Highly recommend!
Fantastic food and drinks. Our waiter was outstanding, we always had everything we needed and he gave us great recommendations.
Food was in excellent except the squid and cuttlefish that were grossly undercooked and could not be eaten. Too bad for a set menu of $69 plus taxes with not wine.
Blue is family for us- EVERY staff member was so courteous and nice, without exception. keep it up!
Delicious fresh food. Outstanding cheesecake. Eat here every time I visit from Toronto.
Excellent food but service is lacking. It shouldn’t take 20 min to get a drink and servers tend to disappear. If you are not in a rush the food is really good.
Absolutely amazing. Best meal I’ve had in a while. We ordered the two specials and don’t regret a thing. The fish was cooked PERFECTLY. We are saving Blue Seafood Bar as a top spot for dates and friend get togethers.
This place is beautiful in its interior design. Very attentive and thoughtful staff. The food is fantastic in taste and presentation. I’m very happy.
Great spot to sit at the bar - enjoy oysters , small bites & flatbreads...
The happy hour menu is confusing. It says for $4 we get 12 oysters and sparkling wine. When we got the bill it turns out that the $4 was just for the wine. That is not what the menu suggested and then our waiter basically said we were ridiculous for thinking that’s what it meant.
This was a very lovely bruch experience. Excellent in every way. Amazing oysters a d service.
This restaurant is seriously underrated and I’m surprised that it is not on people’s radars. The food is excellent and I highly recommend it.
We had a fabulous time and enjoyed the warm hospitality of the wait staff and the great menu!!!
Food was fantastic!!!
Fresh fish and oysters at friendly price tag. Nice ambience, cozy interior and great service
Just Excellent, Great food, great service. We will definetly go back.
We decided to try a seafood restaurant near the Theater District. Not a traditional restaurant, more like a tapas, small plates, bar scene setting. Very quiet on a Sunday evening, but I would say the service was terrific as was most of the food. Pricey drinks and food choices in my opinion, so there are better options. Only disappointment was the piece of fish we ordered, definitely frozen and smelly. The seafood was great. But would not try again.
I live by this restaurant and have always wanted to try it out. The atmosphere is stunning and very cozy. Finally, when my parents came to visit, I decided to take them and they were blown away (as was I). My dad order the seafood pasta special and my mom and I got the braised Short Rib. My dad said it was one of the best meals he has ever had. Their beverage choices were also stellar. Would highly, highly recommend.
The tables are really tiny, difficult to hold more than a couple small plates. Had just oysters and appetizers. Fresh and tasty.
Highly recommended. We've bee there three times in the two or so months since we discovered it -- great for concerts at the Time Warner Center. It's small and charming with excellent food and professional and friendly service. A prix fixe menu during the week lasting till 7 was great value.
Extensive raw bar and tapas selections on the menu. Convenient to the theater district, but not touristy or overpriced. Service was excellent (attentive but not rushed).
Our second time there in 3 weeks and again we were very pleased with the food, service and atmosphere. It's small but comfortable all the same, and the noise level is manageable. Three of us had a pasta special with seafood -- light tomato sauce -- which was fresh and delicious and my husband said his soft shells were excellent. It is pricey but at least value for cost is there. We look forward to returning.
Nice ambiance, attentive service without being officious. Happy hour at the bar was also a great bargain, super oysters at a buck a piece, highly recommended.
Cute little place! We went for the oysters but ended up having the appetizer special—salted soft shell crab. It was delicious.
Great neighborhood place and vibe. Service was excellent. Friendly, attentive and knew her regulars. Food was fantastic. Great selection of oysters. Ordered their special. 1 dozen, 2 of each kind. West and East cost. Great value for the quality. Great late night place. Felt right at home.
Ceasar salad was not as expected. Only salad with a couple slices of shrimps. Also on The menu iT was not clear The crab was a pasta with just a bit of crab.. very unfortunate The restaurant is very Nice decorated!
Great atmosphere. Nice options at raw bar. Drinks and raw bar pricier than some other places of same quality. Bruschetta dish is amazing! Some entrees on the smaller side for the price but good quality.
Excellent food and presentation. Friendly staff. Crowded but worth it!
