The food was very good. The crispy fried rice & spicy tuna appetizer was our favorite. The waitress was excellent in describing and helping us choose our entrees.
I went with my new girlfriend who was not vegan and I was but they still had vegan options for me and it will delicious .....................
Very good and authentic Sushi
The food was good , the server dropped his order pad the he couldn’t find it. He served one of our orders incorrectly and the other main course did not arrive.
The service here is pretty poor and we won’t return.
Meal absolutely exceeded my expectations and was a very pleasant surprise. Sushi was excellent, ambiance was very cool if maybe a tiny bit too loud. Our waiter Kenneth was amazing especially dealing with our larger party. Would definitely recommend. 10/10.
Great time great food
Blue Ribbon has great quality Sushi, a bit of a find as not easy to get to.
This is the third time we've eaten at Blue Ribbon and I was so disappointed! We were looking forward to another great dining experience here and craving fresh sushi. The service and ambiance were excellent with the exception of it taking FOREVER to get our cocktails. We ordered our drinks before even looking at the food menu, however, we were half-way through our meal and had to ask where our drinks were. The sushi was not up to their usual standards. After only one bite of the $25 special of smoked bonita, we had to send it back (which we NEVER do). It was so fishy-tasting that, even after our cocktails and other food, the taste of it still lingered. The Hamachi was the best thing we ordered but the rest of the sushi seemed a little slimy and definitely not up to the meals we have had here in the past. So very disappointed!!!! With all the amazing sushi options in Miami, I'm not sure we'll give this place another chance.
Had dinner here with my daughter. The entire evening was fabulous. Food and service was impeccable. Really fun place and will miss it as I don’t get to see my daughter a lot (she lives in Florida). If I could give it more than five stars I would. Highly recommend.
Good food, good service. I will back soon.
Excellent food and service.
A wonderful restaurant for sushi, beyond fresh. They do also have a few non sushi/Asian dishes that are also very good.
We all got sick
We visited Blue Ribbon Sushi for my husband’s birthday lunch (we were also staying at the hotel, so it was very convenient). It wasn’t very busy, probably because it was mid-day on a Wednesday. Regardless, we had a fabulous time! Sushi was so fresh and delicious! And the drinks were delicious.
It ended up being a little pricey, but it was worth it. Definitely recommend Blue Ribbon Sushi! 🍣👏🏼
Excellent oxtail fried rice and yuzu key lime pie. However, there is very limited street parking and $20 for valet parking for 2 hours during lunch time and a resort tax for diners is ridiculous.
Amazing food. Hotel had a tropical, Art Deco Miami vine. Great service and ambiance.
Comida muy buena, el servicio regular
Good sushi bar - South Beach has some great nigiri options like Naiyara or Nobu but an old fashioned sushi bar there really isn’t. This one is not Japan-great, but still very good. Lots of different fish, long sake list. The spicy crab roll was too salty for my taste.
Always great food always good service
Top chef, great quality fish, ambiance and service a plus
Although we made reservations, they didn’t have a table ready for us (inside) but had one available outside. We waited at the bar and had a few drinks and were then seated about 30 min after our original reservations. Food was great and service was excellent.
Did the Miami spice menu, awesome food, amazing desserts. Must try green tea flan.
Perfect dinner! Nice lights, nice service, good menu... maybe a bit expensive, but we expected the level it was supposed to be.
Amazing quality food and service, great ambiance!
The number one importance of a sushi restaurant is the quality of the fish. The tuna and several of the fishes were too soft and mushy in texture. Definitely not what I expected at a top rated restaurant. I feel that I am somewhat knowledgeable about fish quality having eaten at many top sushi restaurants. I think this restaurant should reconsider what they are serving to their customers.
Best Sushi in Miami, period!
The food was delicious!! Worth the price ! Fast seating with nice decor. Quiet and relaxing.
e always enjoy dining at any of the Blue Ribbons either in Miami or New York.
Esperaba encontrar un Blue Ribbon similar al que ya estuvo en Miami en Collins o al del Soho de Sullivan. Mi mala la comida, creo que en Win Dixie tienen mejor sushi. Para el olvido, una pena
Excellent and authentic Japanese cuisine
The music was extremely loud...our server kindly lowered it upon our arrival but it increased again substantially as the evening went on!
Excellent all around! Our server was fantastic and made suggestions...all turned out to be right on point. The quality of the sushi was superb and whatever you do don’t miss out on their house made key lime pie.
Good food but the waiter was unpolite
We had different food. Salmon was really good. The rolls was quite small.
A good table with a nice menu and a very good service. We recommand this restaurant.
Best Sushi spot at the beach.
The restaurant is overall an excellent choice. Food and service are fantastic. Ambiance leaves a little to be desired, same goes for the cocktail bar.
One of my most favorite Sushi Restaurants in NYC has always been Blue Ribbon for many years. I took a close friend to the Miami Beach location and was not at all surprised at the quality all around. A great atmosphere was provided by the Plymouth Hotel across the street from the Bass Museum. Being a local guy it was kind of like being on vacation in your home town. We shared the “Miami Spice” menu; a mix of Sashimi and Sushi with some Octopus and Amberjack apps. The main course was more sushi and sashimi, which again was superior. I am very picky about my sushi. Blue Ribbon is at the top of the list for the best in town.
Nice restaurant, good sushi, a bit expensive compared to other options however.
