Service was very good considering they were short staffed. Tempura Shrimp was excellent, but the sushi wasn’t as good as BR Izakaya. Still good though. Nice decor. Kinda pricey, maybe because of Wall Street types?

This restaurants gets it. Everything is lovingly and beautifully prepared. The sushi is fresh and the food is cooked to order. Best I have ever had. The staff is friendly and Allen is the best server ever. He makes you feel like you are friends.

This is a rating strictly for the food, as the service was doing the best they could. Ordered the live scallop. Upon tasting it, I suspected it was not live at all so I asked the waiter, who then confirmed that it was alive in the morning. Sorry but there is a world of difference in the taste between a scallop alive 5min ago vs 10 hours ago. False advertising. This was sent back. Then came the wakame salad which was coated in a sugar bath. This was also sent back. Finally the sushi / sashimi combo arrives. The types of fish are exactly the same on the sushi and sashimi. A bit pointless and boring but edible at least. The quality was about 25% better than in a supermarket, which unfortunately does not justify the price. A fusion Japanese restaurant for the western palate at best. For people who know real Japanese cuisine, do stay away.

Great little spot with a good vibe. Super picky when it comes to sushi and this was top notch. Had the Yuzu Lager and if you're a fan of Yuzu and Asian beer, you gotta try. Uni was amazing. Tuna/crispy rice was fresh and all the right textures. Loved it!

Blue Ribbon Sushi in the Financial District has declined substantially since we were last there. The place lacks atmosphere and worse the food has really gone down in quality. We recently went to Blue Ribbon Sushi in Boston. It was outstanding! I hope that the New York group can get their act together soon.

Noisy, sat in middle table. Everyone was pleasant but they confused our order and didn’t give us our main meal , the couple sat next to us 30 mins later got their food (it was the same item) before us. Also , realized later that we got charged for their food on our bill. We realized the next day. They promised to credit our card but it has been a few days and nothing yet! Disappointing as it was our anniversary dinner.
