An awesome experience with friends! Great service and food.
I was visiting NYC with my 13 YO Daughter, and I wanted to take her out for an upscale dinner. BRFG was a quick walk from the hotel. The restaurant is well appointed, and really friendly staff. The food was excellent, however, I ordered a $50 8 oz. filet, and it had a Tablespoon (maybe 2) of mashed potatoes, and exceedingly al dente Asparagus (crisp when biting into it. The filet was perfect! The host played several roles and was very versed in wines and specialty drinks (I ordered a Sazerac - It was spot on!). They sat us at a table next to another group that was doing a wine tasting..it was a bit pretentious listening to all the words to describe wine, which my daughter could not appreciate. Given that the restaurant was nearly empty, they could have sat us elsewhere so our conversations did not mix.
A very nice place for a business lunch if you can get a table!
Went for a client dinner, overall great ambiance. Staff was very kind and knowledgeable, definitely will come back for more meals and will recommend to associates/ friends.
Really enjoy every Blue Ribbon, but Blue Ribbon Sushi is still my favorite!
Overpriced nothing special
One of my favorite places in the neighborhood- since I live downtown. However, most of business associates and out of town guests are thrilled with it too. This is one of the best of the new wave of chic Manhattan restaurants to take fidi. If you haven’t tried you will not be disappointed.
The service was as terrible. The waiter was very nice but often nowhere to be found. It sincerely took 15 min to order drinks and than another 10 for food. The food came out and it was hot and tasty, but some of us needed condiments and we had to locate a different waiter who only brought a few. While the food taste good here this is a snobby ambiance and poor service.
I don’t mind paying $50 for a steak but I expect a little more quality. Not bad but not great.
The host was professional and accommodating my request for a quiet table. The server (Rosalee) made every accommodation for my guest who had food allergies. She checked with the kitchen on all details and options. My guests have dined at Blue Ribbon in Soho and in Las Vegas and were pleasantly surprised to rate this location at the top of the list! The timing between the appetizers and entrees was appropriate. Our water glasses were refilled without requesting server assistance. I highly recommend this restaurant for business and pleasure and look forward to my next visit. It is a neighborhood gem as well!
Recently enjoyed an impromptu brunch with friends. Great food, ambiance and value.
Brunch was amazing. Great service from our server Erica, and the food was outstanding.
We had the Chorizo hash, Mahi sandwich, poached eggs and English muffins, fresh fruit .
Our Waitress Erika made us feel welcome, comfortable, and important. We started off with Grilled Octopus, and Yellowtail Crudo. The Octopus was outstanding, and a very generous portion. The Crudo was so cold, it was almost tasteless. The Crudo was swimming in blood orange ponzu, and was not a balanced dish. We enjoyed a Farro and Shrimp Salad as one of our entrees. We also thought the Hanger Steak was good. The Hanger Steak was $36 for 8 oz. and served a la carte. We added fries for $9, they were ok. Even in this neighborhood, charging $36 for the Hanger Steak, and not throwing in a few fries, is a little stingy. We enjoyed a couple of glasses of Thresher Sauvignon Blanc, and two Vliet Pilsners from Threes Brewing. They were both fairly priced at $12, and $9 respectively. Worth stopping in if you're in the neighborhood.
We had an Amazing time! Thanks so much David and staff for taking such Great care of us!! Will never forget our time with you! Memorable for sure!
Waiter was none attentive. We were two women and we asked for
The service took our experience from great to outstanding. Also, the specials were really special
Warm welcome and food is consistently good. It can take a while to get waitstaff's attention at times.
Food is good, but the price is extravagant. Food does not meet the price.
we saw Great reviews so we went but the food was not that great at all....the management is absolutely amazing! They contacted me right away to discuss my rating. I was very impressed!
I will go back! They truly want what’s best for the customers which is rare!
Tasty food. Service a little slow (took a very long time to get the check after requested it--never saw our waiter again). Looking forward to trying other items on the menu.
If a restaurant accepts an 8am reservation, they should at least open their doors at 7.45 to allow for guests that arrive early. This restaurant didn’t unlock the doors till 8.02, so our entire party of 6 was standing outside during winter for 10 minutes. Poor organization.
I had an expensive lobster tale that was not worth $42. My date had a burger, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Seems like I picked the wrong menu item. For dessert I had a $13 apple crisp. The granola topping was ok but the apple filling was uncooked and too hard. I wasn't able to eat it. I only ate the topping with a small scoop of icecream.
Delicious as always
I was very impressed by the quality of the food, drinks and service . I will definitely be frequenting more often
Nice spot. Excellent burger was simple, but high quality and very tasty. Couple of items on the menu weren't available which was mildly disappointing, but the service was attentive and prompt, food was delicious, and the dining room was quiet. A nice spot if you're downtown for business and want a quiet dinner during the week.
Light and bright, delightful for a business lunch. A diverse menu has something for everyone. A bit noisy, but it settles down after 1.30 PM.
Our waitress was really sweet and funny. I can’t remember her name but she had bangs and maybe a nose ring. She was great.
This place is a gem. Quiet for a dinner, the service is so good, the food is amazing. It’s one of my favorite spots in the city period.
Delicious! And we love the bread pudding. Looking forward to our next visit!!!!!
Simply the best. We eat all over Manhattan, but come back to the Blue Ribbon for every special occasion. The kitchen is extraordinary, the staff are welcoming, knowledgable, professional, and fun to chat with. Don't get me started on the cocktails.
food and service were amazing definitely would go back
Love this restaurant! Unpretentious vibe, spectacular food. Something for everyone!
I like this restaurant because it is so quiet and comfortable when you want to talk to your companion.
Worked perfectly for a breakfast business meeting.
The service was amazing and the food was great not only was the setup and design appealing but so was the food
Loved the food. Chill atmosphere which was good. A little noisy but we sat in the back and that helped.
Had the fried chicken and the Greek salad and it was fantastic.
Great food and service but very noisy
The beer selection on tap is always good with a few local breweries to select from. They make a good cocktail as well.
Very good food and BYOB at all times. Very professional service. Bone marrow appetizer is incredibly delicious.
This is a top notch restaurant that would be booked solid every night if it were in the West Village, but usually has plenty of tables available given its out of the way location down in FiDi. The food is creative, original, and delicious, and the manager always comes out and greets every diner to ensure he receives any needed feedback as well as adding a personal touch. I love this place although at the price I can only come on special occasions.
