We were presently surprised. The choices for brunch were ample. The food was delicious. The peach Bellini were the best. Our waitress was very efficient, she kept the coffee hot and plentiful. We were especially pleased that we weren't rushed at all.
Good service. Great seafood and steaks. Their Hamburger is great. The ambiance is nice too. Our food took a long time to come out but I think it was because they were busy. A little too long but I’ll let it slide this time.

EVERYONE FROM THE HOSTESS, WAITER AND SERVER WERE SO FRIENDLY AND WARM. THE FOOD AND DRINKS WERE AMAZING. AND THE DECOR OF THE BLUE WAS SO INTIMATE AND ROMANTIC.
We love this restaurant it has a great ambiance it is not over crowded and noisy. We went for our anniversary and enjoyed the food, drinks and the service was great. They even gave us $25 gift certificate for next time. The menu is different but something for everyone

We went to Blue for a special event ,decorating Stainglass, it was such a nice event so we had lunch there and it was acceptable, nice service, Nice ambience food was mediocre
Incredible food and staff!!
I visit this place 2 to 3 times per week. I have been dining out for years and no one has the consistency as Chris and his Executive kitchen staff as well as the wait staff and bartenders.

Everyone loved their meals. The restaurant is beautiful and our waiter Effy was amazing. He was very attentive and didn’t rush us. It was quite noisy though. We sat right up front across from the music. Had I known that there was a back atrium room I would have requested to sit there. We were celebrating my husbands birthday with friends. It was difficult to talk to each other as it was loud. I would come back again. We brought a cake and had to discuss not charging us a cake cutting fee of $2.50 per slice. That was bothersome as we were a party of 8 and the manager should have just waived that without us even asking. In the end, we did enjoy our night.
Steak was mediocre considering it was On a special menu for the evening. Service was good. Food was eh...
We went for Valentine's Day and they only offered the prix fix menu which was well rounded - a little something for every taste. I had the potato leek soup which was fantastic and the 16oz rib eye medium rare. The meat was cooked perfectly and was very tender and flavorful. My wife had the beef Wellington which was also perfectly cooked and very tender. The cheese cake and Tartufo for desert were run of the mill but quite acceptable. The service was efficient but they dropped the ball by serving my soup and our deserts and coffee without spoons which we had to ask for and by serving our entrees with steak knives which I just got for myself from the server's station. The temperature outside was in the teens and we were in the back room which was drafty and not heated to a comfortable level. My wife sat with her coat over her shoulders for the whole meal. They did have a guitar soloist for entertainment but we didn't find her style or selections appealing and could have done without that. Overall I still think it was a good deal for the price and would consider trying the place again on a non-holiday.
I picked this restaurant because I read a review that stated it would be a romantic place to go for Valentine's Day. Not only was I surprised at the loud, bright environment (not romantic at all), I was disappointed to find a price fix menu. It was very pricey and there was not a fish option other than scallops. I ordered the ravioli which were covered in a thick creamy sauce, so much so I had to hunt for the ravioli. I could not eat it. My husband has a dairy intolerance and although our server said she checked that what he ordered contained no dairy, the following day proved otherwise. What a big disappointment in this restaurant; we will not be returning.
I made this reservation 4 weeks prior to Valentine’s Day. We had never eaten here and we had been wanting to try it. Looking forward to going there for weeks. We get there and are brought back to a back dining room and attempted to seat us at the last table in the back corner. I sat down and there was a huge draft coming in from the wall, it was unbearable cold. There were heaters set up and it was still frigid. We asked to be moved and they moved us away from the wall to another table in this back room. The waitress was so accommodating and very sweet but many people were moved for this reason and I could tell she was getting frustrated. Each group that came back to be seated complained of the same thing. Granted it was the coldest day of the year but this area needed to be heated better and don’t subject your patrons to this. When being walked back, there were numerous empty tables and when we left there was also 5 empty tables in the front of the restaurant. The management did try to accommodate everyone and kept coming to the back room to fix the heaters but not an area that people should of been served dinner. My other complaint was the menu, I wasn’t informed when we booked that they weren’t offering the full menu. The dinner price was overpriced and the servings were small. Not somewhere I would recommend and not some place I’d return to.
We received a gift card for the restaurant and decided to go for Valentine's Day. The food was very good but they sat us in the back room and it happened to be the coldest night of the year and the back room should not be used in cold weather....it is not properly heated or insulated. It is more of a summer, warm weather room. The glass windows are not insulated and it was very cold and uncomfortable in the back. They did have 2 portable floor heaters but they really were not enough. We would go back but not in the cold weather and not unless we were seated in the main room. A number of tables did ask to be moved and people were wearing their coats during dinner.
The food was amazing, great service also. My husband and I just happened to go on the coldest day of the year so we were freezing! The staff did have heaters everywhere trying to accommodate us but the draft was too strong. Overall it was a great experience and we will revisit when it gets warmer.
The hostesses and waitress was excellent. The waitress was attentive but not overbearing. The food was at best...ok. It wasn’t horrible but for the price, it should’ve been delicious. The Calamari was soft and greasy. The bread that was put on the table were 2 pieces of toast. I had beef Wellington which was actually pretty good. My husband had a fettuccine with clams and he said the clams were not good. Dessert was ok. We had the cheesecake and it looked as if it was pre-purchased and they just took it out of the wrapper
Bread/spreads were a pleasant start. Delicious and fresh seafood. Plenty of paella left over for lunch the next day. Mixed drinks were delicious. Cookies and milk a fun dessert. Ambiance lovely for a date night. We’ll definitely go again.
Let’s start with the warm greeting upon entry. Very friendly and welcoming. Very cozy with wide booths and tables. Nice music at a lower volume. Not too dark and a gas fireplace for ambience. The waitress Gina became family by the time dinner was complete. A smile as big as her personality. The drinks were very generous for the same money compared to restaurants in the same area. Poured perfectly and garnished nicely.
The food! The best meal I’ve had in quite some time. I enjoyed rigatoni vodka sauce and added shrimp. Huge portion. I also had tender fried calamari. Perfectly tender and fried.
My wife had a perfectly cooked rib eye steak. I tried it. It was amazing and tender. It was so big , we went home with food. I’m bringing my family and friends there. So glad we tried this little gem of a restaurant.
Everything was great except got stuck in back room after making reservations.
Chris and his staff have given Islip a very special dining experience without emptying our wallets. Happy hour is energetic, live music is easy listening and the staff is Attentive. Thx Chris

The Blue Restaurant is very good. The food is always delicious. If you like to hear live music while you eat this is your place. Enjoyed the food and the entertainment as well.
i have never seen a shrimp cocktsil.so large and sweet .it was amazing My scallops were seared to perfection and served in an iron skillet. My wife had the fillet mignon . It was also cooked perfectly. As good as any 5 star steakhouse. Our server and other staff were amazing. Very personal. We felt like we were at the family table...Only no arguing and the food was much better. The Blue will be on the top of our list next time we go out. Thanks for a great evening.
we went there for restaurant week and was very happy. never been there before and tried the lobster pastry, YUM
they have mussels in a coconut cream broth that were also EXCELLENT. and the godiva chocolate brownie is delicious but very rich. definitely will come here again

The room in the back was nice and quiet. The flea ice was wonderful and the food, fantastic - specifically, the baked clams (huge), lobster bisque and the most amazing sea scallops!!
Staff was attentive and we were not rushed through our meal. Only problem was two steaks that were undercooked and had to be sent back and were returned slightly better but were delicious. We did think the children’s menu was priced high at $15.95 for a child of 3. The portion was truly adult sized. All in all we enjoyed our meals and evening on our first visit here.
Just my kind of place! Our hostess a sweetheart, our waiter Rich terrific, and the singer/guitarist Chelsea amazing! Had such a great evening. Definitely going back! Food was delicious. Loved the fresh oysters & clams for appetizers and my sea scallops for dinner, everything so fresh which is a must.

We had a lovely NYE dinner at the Blue. We were sat in the back room (didn't know there was one!) and since it was a glass enclosure, they did pretty well keeping it nice and warm. The service was great, Gina was lovely. Food was delicious as always (Salmon, Scallops and Truffle fries). The only thing lacking was the dessert. It was a godiva chocolate brownie, with some whipped cream and ice cream on the side. The brownie really needed to be warmed with the ice cream on top. I wouldn't order it again. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time and meal and will definitely return.
First time there for New Year's Eve and was totally pleased with server and food. Will be back!!
This was our second time at Blue and it was delicious both times! I’m not sure why the place wasn’t packed because the food is great. My husband and I shared the baked clams. He had paella and I had the stuffed lobster special. It was all great and fresh. His Paella was overflowing with so much seafood. We had the brownie ala mode for dessert and it was good, but would have been better if the brownie was warmed up and not cold. Otherwise a great meal and the service was great, the restaurant is really nice and was very clean.
