Blue Point Coastal Cuisine Ratings and Reviews
Awful food experience. All of our food was mediocre (at best) and expensive. To top it off, I became extremely ill after eating here. I suspect that their market "swordfish" was actually Escolar or a similar substitute fish. I'll let you Google what happens after a meal of Escolar.
The food is good, the service equally so & they have inside/outside dining. They have $1 oysters during happy hour but the drinks & food during happy hour & off the regular menu are more pricey than other restaurants & happy hours. Plus they tack on an additional 3% on your bill to pay their staff.
Nice ambience, great food and prepared very nicely; plating very cool; the only downside was the size of the table. If you’re sitting in a booth with 4 people you do not have enough space for all the plates and that becomes very tricky. Would recommend and will be back
Horrible service as the waiter had 3 large tables as a big party so our table was the least of her concern! 1 dish was cold, bill was wrong- 4 additional items were incorrectly placed on our bill from the large party, waitress knew nothing about the menu and made us feel like we were annoying her with any questions. While she made the bill correct, considering the above circumstances, I would expect the Manager get involved or at comped something off our bill. I had higher expectations for a restaraunt of this caliber and cost! Food was great, but the service was beyond poor. I would not recommend it to anyone and will not be returning after such an unprofessional environment and service.
Went with old friends I hadn't seen in a long time. Perfect setting, quiet, the waiter Ryan was mindful of our conversations yet was very attentive. There during Restaurant week. Even with multiple drinks per person, 4 people and 20% tip we got out of there for less than 90 dollars a person. All said, great experience! When we left the restaurant (Sat nite) the street was packed with people and vibrant!
Amazing!! I was underdressed and they seated me right away anyways. (I had on jeans and a sweatshirt, this is a business casual to formal type of place) The service was incredible (Ryan was my server). And the food melted in my mouth! I am from Texas so I had the surf and turf, but it had a much more cleaver name, and they cooked my filet perfectly and the seafood was just amazing! Highly recommend this place for a special occasion it was beautiful.
Food was average, service was awful. Server left us alone and never stopped by the table once food was brought to table. Another server cleared table after sitting with empty plates for almost an hour. Finally, the original server showed up with bill about another 15 minutes after plates were cleared. Totally neglected our presents and needs.
Not only is the food great but the chief and the staff really care about you the customer. When I setup my reservation I asked if they would make a sugar free desert other then berries and the chief not only complied but came out to make sure we enjoyed our meal and desert. Great place.
The food was good, but not spectacular. I had the mussel & shrimp pasta which I really enjoyed. The mussels were excellent. My date had the seared ahi & shrimp dish. The ahi was great, but the shrimp was fried & not very flavorful (the shrimp in the pasta dish was better). The salads were good and the creme brûlée was excellent.
I had my family as guests for my birthday. The service was impeccable, the food was excellent (I mean really good), the portion size was more than adequate, and the atmospheres is great. It is pricy but within reason for a great dinner. (Wine and all ~$50@). The "chef" provided complimentary hors d'oeurves and birthday dessert! Perfect for an event (and an everyday dinner if that fits your budget). Thanks Blue Point.
