   We tried Blue Plate during Restaurant Week SF. It was a great experience. Almost a full menu to pick from, and they let my husband substitute an extra appetizer for his dessert, since he is diabetic. $45 for a 3 course meal. They sat us at a nice table inside in the back overlooking their garden. Service was excellent. The food was great. Even the potato chips and special dip. The smoked beef bruschetta and the baby gems salad were excellent as was the fried chicken. The butterscotch pudding for dessert was wonderful too, but all desserts sounded and looked great. Would definitely come back here

   Magical place! The ambience is cozy and beautiful at the same time. All the lighting and windows looking out into a quaint garden makes the experience lovely. Everywhere ordered was delicious. The menu is small and I think that makes each dish the best it can be. I had the meatloaf which did not disappoint. The wine selection by the glass was just ok. The service was very good.
