Great atmosphere, food, and such a friendly hostess that makes you feel welcome and at home. The price was good. We had their yummy burger- mine without bun and subbed their great brussel sprouts for fries to make it a good Keto friendly meal. Busy- make a reservation!
Good food but slow service.
We had a double date night at the blue plate over Valentines Day weekend. It was a great experience! The food was awesome, but even better the staff was so great! Everyone was so friendly and fun! I would definitely recommend the Blue Plate to everyone!
Always good. We've had most items on the tapas menu, with repeats of brussel sprouts (the appetizer version), beet spread (delicious) and calamari. In addition, the meat loaf is exceptional and generous. Probably been here five times, and we're part-timers. Servers are friendly and responsive. Highly recommend.
Didn’t bring sugar with espresso, and we had to ask another wait staff member to bring it.
We were sat 40 minutes late, and then the waiter did not come by for another 10 minutes. 2 of our meals were undercooked. Very disappointed
Excellent food, value and vibe. The eclectic menu provides options for every palate.
We visit Blue Plate every time we are in the Beaver Creek area. The service and food are always fantastic. I especially enjoyed the beet appetizer, clam chowder and apfel strudel during my last visit. My friends ordered the fish and chips and the pork schnitzel and raved about both dishes! They always love the German (Austrian) Pils beer too! We can't wait to go back!
Food was delicious & all 4 in our party were very pleased with their dishes. The mussels were extraordinary!
Good was fantastically yummy! Our waiter Kevin was excellent and entertaining too!
We eat there quite often. Food is excellent Staff is knowledgeable. The schnitzel is the best in the Vail Valley. Strudel is fabulous
Delicious. Food is delicious
Our server was very weird! Looked so stressed every time he was on our table. Made us very uneasy
Great food. Friendly attentive staff. Can’t wait to go back.
Always consistently good service, menu selection, great food and ambiance. :-)
We've been skiing the Vail valley for years and have finally found a special, quality restaurant. Awesome cheese fondue! The portions aren't huge but everything was delicious. We will be back!
The meal was extremely disappointing. We both had the chicken skewers which were promised to be fantastic. The flavoring was fine but the chicken was nearly inedible. First off, normally when one gets chicken skewers they are chunks of white meat. The menu didn’t indicate either way, but on the rare occasion that I’ve had chicken skewers that were anything else, they were clearly labeled on the menu. It was hard to tell from the lighting but I’m guessing these were thighs or something else. As my teenage son worked to suppress his gag reflex, he described them alternately as slimy, squishy and gross. Those were apt descriptions. I did my best to eat them because I was extremely hungry from a long day on the slopes, but I only got through about half. We were so hoping to add Blue Plate to our Beaver Creek dining regulars, but there’s no chance in hell I’ll ever be back.
We always enjoy eating here. The food and service are always great.
Food was excellent as usual but waiter was underwhelming.
Three of us had two dinners at the Blue Plate, an instant replay which is already an endorsing comment. The food is eclectic but uniformly good in our experience. We all tried the schnitzel, which is superb (either pork or veal). I can also recommend the fish & chips, which has a gorgeous presentation (no rolled up newspaper to be seen). Desserts were fabulous. The wine list is very good, and the wine prices are quite fair. I particularly want to commend the servers for both nights we were there. They were friendly, precise, and made excellent recommendations. We were here two years ago, and came back because we remembered an excellent meal. We were right! Very highly recommended, esp. after a good day of skiing at Beaver Creek.
It was expensive, and overall the food was not good. There were 6 of us for dinner and 3 liked there meal and 3 didn’t like their meal. We didn’t order dessert as food was not consistent and didn’t want to spend the money and be disappointed. Best example I can give is the Greek salad, the lettuce was wilted when served.
Service and food is always A+ at the Blue Plate!
Dined here with 3 small children. It was great to get a good meal with nice food that wasn’t just chicken fingers and burgers but the kids were still welcome and enjoyed. Food was delicious- loved the soft warm rolls.
I really appreciated that the wait staff knew what I was talking about when I told them that I have a gluten issue. It was so nice to eat and not worry about what I put in my mouth will not kill me in a few hours. Thank you Blue Plate!
We travel to Beaver Creek most every year for family and friends skiing and always spend one night dining at Blue Plate. We enjoy the friendly atmosphere, great food and service. We would highly recommend Blue Plate!
We’ve been here before for lunch with our family and thought it was pretty good so my husband and I decided to try it again for dinner. We were seated quickly with our reservation but it took a good 5-10 minutes before the server came to say hello, give us menus, or water. My husband ordered a glass of wine, and the bottle was bad - even the bar manager confirmed. They brought a new glass but we were surprised that they didn’t take the wine off the bill. We also ordered a small salad and they brought and charged us for a large one. Overall we felt the food was overpriced for what it was ($10 for 2 shrimp Ina tapa!?), especially with mediocre service.
Only the chicken skewer was overdone and not that great. Everything else was wonderful but a bit pticey.
Overall we had a fine meal and service. While it was not perfection is was close. Will be going back as we have occasionally over the years.
Some of the main courses were acceptable, but the lamb shanks were not. The yogurt sauce was good, but the lamb was not flaky and tender as it should have been. The frog legs were rather dry, too. We had to wait for more than a half hour to be seated for our reservation. I realize that the restaurant cannot control the amount of time that the diners stay, but no gesture was made for our inconvenience.
Good experience except they lost my scarf and never called me.
I was very impressed that BluePlate lived up to it's expectations. We ate on the last night of many good meals and this may have been the best. Highly recommend going there. You can take the Bus nearby from many of the resorts.
The food is ok but nothing to rave about. I give this place a B.
An evening out with the family during the festive season didn’t disappoint. The staff are quirky and efficient, each person with their own cute character. The food was super tasty , we all loved our meals. Great walking distance for Avon visitors, but well worth the trip for everyone in the area.
Poor food, poor service, nice ambience overall not worth it
Don't miss this place! Creative menu with a solid selection of old favorites as well. The Schnitzel is a real masterpiece!
Best food we had in Avon.! Met the Chef; great hospitality.!
We were 6 adults - service was great- waiters were very attentive and the food was delicious. We had read the reviews before coming to Beaver Creek and made reservation in advance. So glad we did especially for a large party.
Christmas Day evening meal here - been many times always busy always good value.
With a name like "Blue Plate" and the cuisine classified as "American" I was surprised/confused when 65% of the menu had an Eastern Mediterranean/Syrian take. The wait staff did not seem trained at all and our service was notably awkward. Food was hit or miss: brussel sprouts charred to the point of inedible (I was surprised they even served them), bland greek salad (can make better at home), perfectly cooked delicious steak special--bizarre. The photos and website make this restaurant seem upscale, but my impression was more like a 2.5 out of 5.
Excellent food and service
