   Friendly staff, impeccable food selection, and a beautiful variety of wines to choose from. Location is stunning and tucked away in the hills. There are live ostriches there, too!

   Service was not good. Our waitress kept visiting for long periods of time with other tables and our glasses were empty for long periods of time waiting on our next flight tasting.

    Beautiful Sunday afternoon at the Blue Ostrich winery this past weekend. Very busy but lot of extra helpers. Several of the wait staff checked on us to see if we needed anything. Singer/guitar player was excellent. Wine was great as always and we even purchased two more bottles of our new favorite. Had the flatbread as a snack which was very tasty.

    It is always an enjoyable experience at Blue Ostrich! The wine is exceptional, especially for Texas wines. The food menu is getting better and better each time we visit. And, the people are lovely!

    Very disappointed in the end to our experience today that ruined our overall visit that had been nice up to that point. I missed the information when making a reservation that there is a 90 minute reservation limit. We were abruptly escorted from our table by an employee picking up our things letting us know the table was needed for another reservation. There were plenty of tables available all around us and we hadn’t even even finished the wine in our glasses we had paid for. A heads up that our time was running short so we could finish up and say goodbye to the person we came to see in the band before being relocated to the tasting room at a standing only table in a crowded room away from the music we came to here would have made all the difference. We would have also been happy to move to a table further from the band if that particular table was needed. But why kick out a paying customer who is still spending money when you still have tables available? Very poor customer service. Will not make the drive again from DFW to visit. We did not leave with the wine we planned to purchase.

    It was a good time. Delicious wines. Sometimes I wish there were options of staying at the table for 2 hours or maybe 2.5 hours. We drive an hour to get there and 1.5 hours just isn’t quite long enough to eat drink and hang with good friends. If the weather isn’t cooperating, there’s no where else to go.

    Great location, really nice venue, fun ambiance and the service is excellent. The wine is young and reds don't have much body, but if you are a new or novice wine drinker, this is an enjoyable place to start.

    The menu is necessarily limited (it is a winery, first, after all..) but it’s very good. We love the wine, and we enjoy the live music - it’s always good. Yesterday was the first time we have heard Bryson Lawerence, and we were not disappointed. A very pleasant afternoon at one of our favorite places.
