   I'm giving BOTC a 5star rating because I enjoyed everything on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. I enjoyed the ambiance of the new restaurant, and our server was very helpful and explained various dishes on the menu. The vegetable spring rolls were fresh and came with a peanut dipping sauce. I ordered the Thai vegetable stir fry with tofu, and it came with jasmine rice. The portion was enough for two. I am looking forward to returning to try other menu items and desert.

   I had a client come to town and my wife and I wanted to take them to a very special place. Blue Orchid did not disappoint… We ordered several appetizers and several entrées and served everything family style… Had so much food that we brought quite a bit home for dinner again tonight. Thank you for a great experience every time… One of our favorite spots… :-)

   Our waitress was attentive and warm. She wasn't interrupting our conversation to check-in and also we are so happy that, even though we were done eating, our plates were not snatched away. We didn't feel rushed at all. Our greeter was warm and got us to our table and the lady who works the takeout remembered me from Tues Pad Thai take-out! Just a SUPER restaurant! We love both Blue Orchids.

   We happened to go on 1/2 price wine Wednesday so that was a bonus! Our server was very knowledgeable & helpful about the menu regarding spice level. I ordered spice level 1 but next time I will order 2 or 3 as there was really no hot spice at all. However, I ordered the Tom Kai soup & it was the best I have ever had. I ordered a bowl which was huge. Their cup is more like a bowl so if you want soup as a side order the cup. I ordered Panang curry chicken for my entree. The server advised that it does not come with veggies & suggested I order it with veggies as well as my chosen protein of chicken. The entrees are pretty expensive over $24 plus an up charge for the veggies but in the end our server discounted the added veggies for me without asking. The Panang was good but I prefer it a little thicker. Next time I would try the Masamam curry. My dining companion & I shared a nice bottle of Sauvignon Blanc usually priced at $48 but 1/2 price. It was nice and crisp. We had no room for dessert. Definitely will return. Tip, they have a beautiful outdoor seating area ( Riverside location) if you choose.

    Our second time visiting the Riverside Blue Orchid which delivered authentic amazing Thai cuisine. Attention to detail - the cocktails and appetizers especially, looked like a piece of art. The outdoor patio was a stunning place to dine. The water features, oak trees and gold Thai structures truly added to an amazing experience! Not to mention, outstanding service!     Excellent food. We had satay and summer rolls as appetizers, followed by the Sour Seafood soup which was excellent. I ordered spiciest (level 4), and it was very good. They brought chili-sauce for me to add. Outside patio was excellent. Definitely going back!

    This was our first time at this location. The location itself is a nice oasis in the city, with lots of seating options indoors and out. Our server was prompt and knowledgeable, pacing drinks and courses well. Spring rolls with shrimp were a highlight in addition to the mango ice cream to top our meals.

    Our food was ok but not the best Thai I’ve had in Jacksonville. I had high expectations based on feedback from friends. The roti was good but served without any sauce, so we ordered peanut sauce for it. The peanut sauce was more like sweet peanut butter, it was very thick. The crab rangoons were very good. The spice was mixed up for 2 people in our party, which always disappointing. The sauce for the Happy Fish was very good but the fish was greasy. I know it’s fried, but it shouldn’t ooze when you bite it. We ordered the doughnuts for dessert because one person at our table had eaten them before, I thought those were also very greasy, would not eat them again. Our service was good until we finished our main course. Plates were not removed until our dessert arrived.

    I’m giving Blue Orchid a 1 because as I sat finishing up my meal a rat ran right behind my wife’s chair. We were seated on the patio. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and I’ll never return.

    I took my family out to eat on Easter and we went here. I've had my eye on this place since they broke ground, and it didn't disappoint. We got our meals faster then usual, however our order of Crab Rangoon came out cold and partially frozen in the middle. We did send it back and they made a fresh and hot batch the next time. The reason I can't give this review a max score is the fact that they didn't take off the order of Crab Rangoon. The server didn't even offer to take it off my bill at the end, which was a bit disappointing since the restaurant wasn't busy and they did mess up by sending it out partially frozen. That being said the rest of the meal was great, and I would go back to give the a second try.

    This was our first trip to the Blue Orchid after hearing many of our friends rave about the food. We were not disappointed! We took another couple to dinner that had previously dined here and from the appetizers to the main course, the entrees were outstanding, with very nice portions, several boxes went home with us! The only push back I would offer is that our server missed the opportunity for a second bottle of wine, as we ordered it, but never saw her or the bottle until the time for the check. Not a big item, however would have appreciated a little more attention, but the company and food more than made up for any short comings, we will definitely be back! We hear the lunch is just a good, so that's on our list too!

    This was my third visit and this time I brought an out-of-town friend for dinner. The food was fantastic as usual and we appreciated our server helping us with the "heat" level. My friend was so impressed with the decor; it truly is a beautiful space! I highly recommend the spring rolls appetizer - just enough for two people.

    First visit and will definitely be back. Started off with the crab ragoons and will never be able to enjoy them elsewhere. They were decadent. Went with the server’s recommendation of drunken noodles with beef. Just finished my leftovers for lunch and still as delicious as it was last night. I as just trying to find a date to go back.
