It’s our go-to for consistently great overall dinning. The Best Restaurant in this area. Chef knows what he’s doing.
Really enjoyed our dinner. We had a table for two in the front room with windows. More upscale than your typical Rehoboth Beach restaurant. Will definitely come here again especially since they accept reservations.
Went with 10 friends for a birthday brunch. Pamela Stanley played piano and sang (She's terrific! Everything was perfect!
Blue Moon is one of my favorite restaurants and has been for many years. However, the past few times I have been there, the experience has been less than what I have come to expect. We were seated up on a shelf in the corner, one of 2 or 3 pretty awful tables in this otherwise beautiful restaurant. Dinner rolls were cottony and tasted like supermarket bread. The amuse was wonderful- the date amuse is one of my favorites. They were out of peas and carrots, and the short ribs and potatoes were fine- just not fabulous. Last visit was lovely, but the one before that was so-so. Still, a great meal at a great table at Blue Moon is so good, I’ll probably take my chances again next time.
The Blue Moon in Rehoboth Beach is a magnificent experience. The service was wonderful. The food was delicious. We go there for birthdays and special occasions when we can get to the beach. Its worth every penny. I'm grateful to The Blue Moon staff, especially the hosts, who make the extra effort to seat you where you prefer to sit. They're wonderful.
Perfect loved it food and service were excellent
Wonderful food and place very happy this place is great!
This place never disappoints! The food is fantastic. The service is fantastic. Anna, our server, was knowledgeable and kind and timed our dinner perfectly!!! Thank you Blue Moon for another memorable experience!!
Amazing food and service. One of the best spots in town!
Excellent food and atmosphere. Jackie was spectacular - great great service!
My husband and I had a lovely dinner at the Blue Moon for Valentine's Day. The space is elegant and charming, the food was delicious, and our server was attentive but not intrusive. The special for Valentine's Day was a shared chateaubriand which was tender and cooked perfectly. The kale salad was fresh and had a wonderful combination of cheese, nuts and a light tangy dressing. The drinks were superb with a special spicy martini - perfect amount of zip. It was a memorable experience!
Valentine dinner superb!
Chincoteague oysters and Rockfish entrees were fabulous! The Sancerre and Gamay wines were amazing!
Recently went to celebrate valentines day with my girlfriend and every aspect was phenomenal. We had the best time.
A very relaxing environment with excellent food and service.
Food was fine, but not great. Too much bacon in many dishes and the bacon was overcooked (burnt taste) at times.
Charmed. Attention to detail. Good drinks. Nice wine list.
First off, it was the best dining experience we have had since coming to Rehoboth for the past 13 years. My husband and i have made it our mission to try all the restaurants in the Rehoboth/Lewes area. We decided to try Blue Moon to celebrate Valentines and our upcoming 40th anniversary. What a beautiful evening we had. Anna was our server and she was perfect. She gave us plenty of time between drinks, apps, entree and dessert. We were actually there 3 hours. The atmosphere (beautiful displays of red roses everywhere) was very romantic. From our refreshing drinks (Burning love martini and a Dark n Stormy n dangerous), the delicious complimentary stuffed date, the to die for crispy octopus, the great rack of lamb cooked perfectly and ever so tender braised short ribs, we were in heaven. We couldn’t resist ending the night with their famous Blue Moon Bomb—oh my god! It was enormous—4 layers of different ice cream coated with whipped cream n caramel n chocolate—unbelievably good. We also had delicious coffee drinks too. Needless to say, we were stuffed and loved that we chose Blue Moon to celebrate our love for each other! Thanks Anna and thanks to the chef!
One of several visits; others were 5 out of 5 but this time food seemed to be 4 of 5. Starters were excellent but steak/lamb dishes did not hit the 5 out of 5 mark. Service was excellent as always and this visit may be an exception, but experience was lacking.
Awesome meal, as always. Jackie was a phenomenal waitress!
Table was set with decorative hearts
Server attentive but not overbearing
It was New Years Day and we decided to go to the Blue Moon (ok we made reservations a few weeks before) and it was very delicious, relaxing and we had a fabulous brunch. We started off with the warm beignets with caramel sauce followed by the steak and the French toast. My husband said that the steak was one of the best that he had in very long time and the French Toast was also very delicious. Jackie our server was totally outstanding and she thinks of things to do for you before you can even ask. The Blue Moon is now closed until early February and we are really going to miss them. We are already counting the days until they open again.
Great New Years brunch! As always the food and setting was outstanding! Great job!
Always wonderful. Delicious meals every time and first class service.
The meal was delicious and our server, Ana, was fantastic. The rest of our experience left much to be desired – particularly for our first New Year’s Eve since moving to Sussex County.
We arrived for our 10:00 pm reservation on time and were informed that there was a 15-20 minute wait. We went to the bar area and had a drink while we waited by a drafty door. After 20 minutes we were ushered to our table. I’m sure this is a perfect location during warmer months, but it’s a bad idea to seat customers on an enclosed porch in December. We froze! Once the main dining room cleared out, we asked to move and were promptly accommodated. Rather than make excuses that it’s an old house and the city doesn’t allow modifications, it would be smart not to seat customers on the porch when it’s below freezing. At a minimum, don’t seat customers by the windows (that were visibly frosted).
I’m surprised that the restaurant was struggling to keep their reservations on time. If they were a start up establishment, it might make sense. But this wasn’t their first New Year’s Eve. The couple next to us had a 9:00 pm reservation and weren’t seated until 10:00 pm! They ended up leaving after the second course because it was already after 11:00 pm. We didn’t get our main course until 11:30 and opted to have our dessert “to go.” That should have been a great idea (and a perfect breakfast dessert) except they packaged the hot apple crisp in the same container as the ice cream. Needless to say, we had a melted mess when we got home. On a positive note, the fried green tomatoes were the best I ever had. Light and perfectly seasoned. I could have had two of those and called it a meal!
We visited the Blue Moon because of its reputation and the minimal “fine dining” options in the area. Next year, however, we may go for a casual New Year’s celebration. This wasn’t the standard we were used to or expected.
The BLUE MOON provides consistent excellence- lovely menu prepared superbly, with attention to special dietary needs, presentations are gorgeous and delicious! The service is professional yet friendly.
We love the ambiance and local vibe!
The restaurant is enjoyable for a date night or special occasion.
For New Years Eve they offered prix fix menu and we received a gift of 2 lovely champagne flutes 🥂
Great service. Nice and intimate New Year's Eve. The food was excellent as was the service. Thanks for another spectacular meal!
This might be our favorite restaurant - anywhere. Food and service are always outstanding. We had rockfish, filet, pear & apple salads, and 2 wonderful desserts. All excellent. Highly recommend!
We love Blue Moon. Our favorite in Rehoboth. Always have a wonderful meal and all staff are exceptional ❤️
I hadn’t been to Rehoboth in four years, so when we planned a three-day trip from NY, I had to include Blue Moon in our plans. This restaurant has maintained its excellence for decades, and is, in my view, the best of the many Rehoboth Beach options.
Food was wonderful but time between courses not acceptable.
