Blue Moon Fish Co. Ratings and Reviews
Way too loud. Stuck between 2 very large parties. Outdoor seating was not available due to a last minute party sell out we were told. It was an awful evening. Thank god food was good and server Ruey was adequate.
I canceled reservation for Friday. It’s usually the only place we dine at when in town about every 3 months. You would think someone would remember us.
If we come back its because we love the food.
We will see.
We are never disappointed with the Blue Moon Fish Cafe. The food is memorable, the service is impeccable. It is a little noisy but not any more so than most restaurants. The waterway view is lively. From appetizers to desserts everyone in our party was raving.
Holiday dinner celebration with my Sister this week. Seafood Tower was fantastic! Service was great from the host accommodating our table choice to the server who was fantastic. It is pricey, but worth it. Bonus is the beautiful waterfront view. One our favorite spots in Broward County.
Simply Amazing! From the valet-hostesses-waiter and table staff, the service was impeccable. The first time this year I have been served a perfectly cooked filet. Ralph is the man, very knowledgeable and personable waiter. We never waited for refills or even check-ins from him. Great recommendations and a great salesman for Blue Moon. I can see why my business partner has celebrated his anniversary here, 7 times in a row.
My husband is a seafood lover so we ate here. They really could increase their vegetarian options. They made me a vegetarian pasta but it was bland and boring, also with a price tag of $27. I’d suggest a season veggie plate and 1 risotto or pasta entree so those who don’t eat seafood/meat can enjoy.
Blue Moon has always been a favorite of mine, I have never been disappointed. Took my girlfriend there for her birthday, first time to be there for her. The service was spectacular, the food incredible, and the special touch they put on desert just for her birthday...made the night! Always the best at the Blue Moon, I will be back again and again!
Our reservation was acknowledged upon our arrival and we were taken to our table. We were asked if we wanted to sit outside or inside. Since it was a warm evening in early December, we decided to sit out side. Our timing was terrific according to the waiter as a large party was going to arrive later. The view is outstanding. Though there were about 20 people in our area, it was quite quiet. The waiter was very informed on the items of the menu and made a few suggestions. Our beverages and food were delivered as requested and timely. We were offered additional bread. We had an appetizer, entree and dessert. The staff remembered that we requested water and it was delivered immediately, which is not always the case at restaurants. The staff was very proud of the menu and the food options including the specials of the evening. He explained how the various oysters could be served, if we wanted them. Valet parking for which there was a small fee was very responsive. This is the second time we have been here during a visit and enjoyed it just as much as we did last year.
We loved our experience there. Our server was light hearted and funny, but also listened to our inquires in order to make good recommendations. I asked about locally crafted brews and spirits, not only did they recommend some great drinks, but started to set up a visit to the brewery. Will definitely go back when we are in the area.
After going there many years, it seemed the quality slightly decreased. The beet salad was large slabs of beet; not that there wasn't a knife available to cut it. On the other hand, the Tuna Poke was Really Good! Service was polite and consistent as usual. Though took a bit to get a glass of wine; apologies were provided for the delay (Maybe staff to diner quotient was correct but the assignment of duties was incorrect)
food was not cooked to doneness. two dinners, the scallops were raw on the diver plate. My dinner of swordfish was only cooked on one side. Oysters had no liquid in the very nice presentation. IN and out in 40 mins next day found our change purse for parking was gone from box.
Been going here since it opened... haven't been in a while. The buffet brunch was outstanding, free flowing mimosas, food fresh and extremely well prepared, desserts to die for, amazing Sunday views of the intracoastal. Pricey but so worth it for what you get and the high quality. Can't wait to return on my next visit!
Blue Moon has a great atmosphere, the weather is normally super, making the patio on the Intracoastal a perfect choice. We enjoy the valet service, the hostess and the staff are always very good. They have a very good menu, especially on the holidays. We were a party of six, including our two granddaughters. They have a special, where you pay for one meal and get one free. It was a great break in the day on Black Friday.
Thanksgiving 2017, unfortunately we were not aware that the menu was Brunch only all day when we arrived for our 6pm reservation. It was a busy day for all staff so all were ready to go and choices were limited. The staff did the best they could and we will try to return again.
We went for Thanksgiving. $75.00 per person. I did not mind the price, but I thought the food should of been at least good, if not great. The brown meat turkey was like rubber, the mashed potatoes were not good (not bad I mean but I expected at least pretty good). Maybe the deserts were better I did not have any. The rest of the food just just ok. I would never go there again for either a sunday brunch $69.00 or Thanksgiving. They had all the food from the Sunday brunch menu plus the turkey , stuffing, gravey, cranberry (nasty). The server was good, but we ordered bottled water and they kept pouring regular tap water in our glass when we went for the buffet food. Even after we told the water guy that we had bottled water, they still came back and poured regular water in our glasses that were half full of bottled water. I was disappointed.
This was the 3rd year that my son and I spent Thanksgiving at Blue Moon Fish Co. Unfortunately, we found that the food did not meet its former standard of being exceptionally delicious. The turkey appeared to be sliced ahead of time, and was not as moist and tasty as it had been in previous year. My son said their lamb was delicious, however, but I go there for the turkey! Many of the salad items had been eliminated this year, also.
We will probably try another restaurant for Thanksgiving next year.
