We had a lovely time. The food and atmosphere were great. The best part are the shrimp and grits!
I have been to the Blue Marlin many times over the years. It has always been one of my go to restaurants. I enjoy the variety of food selections.
We had a wonderful time at he Blue Marlin prior to the Eagles concert and after. A special place in Columbia.....
Excellent as usual. Never had a bad meal at this place. Teriyaki Salmon is to kill for. Crab cakes are also great. This is my favorite restaurant in Columbia. You cannot go wrong.
Everything was great! When we entered we noticed that “our” table was available and we were seated by a very pleasant hostess. I say “our” table because we come to the Blue Marlin from Delaware when we visit our son, a 25 year resident of Columbia and we have always sat at this particular table.
The server, Jason, was lots of fun and did s great job. We all enjoyed our meals and drinks. Very good bartender by the way and very efficient.
We look forward to our next visit.
Awesome dining experience. I would visit everytime that I am in Columbia.
Fantastic experience overall. Highly recommend the Firecracker shrimp and the Creme Brûlée cheesecake. Probably the quickest service at the nicest restaurant. Very, very pleased with the experience.
Service was fast and friendly, portions generous. House made ranch salad dressing wonderful!
A modern restored train station with delicious Southern cooking served up by a master chef. A must DO if you are in town.
As always, the food is extraordinary. The service is exemplary. The ambiance is very special.
One of our favorite places.
Recommended for sea food, had tuna steak, excellent more moist than scallop. Others had daily special and were very pleased. Wine a bit pricey overall good.
Wonderful all the way around. Great choice !
The Blue Marlin always brings its best! Great service, Halibut & the She Crab soup is phenomenal! If you’re ever in Columbia this stop is a must.
My Wife & I Always enjoy Blue Marlin. Server was great, but manager hammering on near-by table was annoying.
Great food, salmon was delicious and the greens were the best I’ve ever had! Very nice restaurant but very noisy!
Parking meters, really????
A very nice dining experience. We were in town for the Masters. Several locals recommended this restaurant. It did not disappoint. Food was great. Only negative was the white wine sangria that both my daughter and I got. There was not one piece of fruit in it. (The menu described it as having fruit)Also, would have enjoyed bread or rolls with our meal.
Great food. My first time here. Thank you for the experience
Visiting town from London England.
Saw the reviews on line, so thought we would try it out. We were not disappointed. Friendly, lively, good food choice for us.
Thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
We have season tickets to Broadway in Columbia and eating at Blue Marlin before the show makes it a perfect night. We really enjoy the seafood. The blackout Cake is must not miss treat. We split it, it is so large.
Fantastic meal as always! A must if you’re in Columbia
Beautiful inside but very noisy. Our server was very nice and helpful but seemed to have alot of other tables to serve.
Food was great. Waitress seemed to have an attitude. One of the food runners almost ran into me he acted like it was my fault not even an excuse me.
The food is always very good. We love the Blue Marlin for she-crab soup and seafood. It’s a nice restaurant that we can go to for special occasions or just a laid back weekend night.
Easter Brunch was excellent! Food was delicious and great service!
Extremely disappointing. We went for Easter lunch. The food selection was poor but the food itself was not good. I had pork loin and most of it wasn't eatable due to fat. The sides were barely warm. My son had chicken breasts over biscuits. The chicken was partly edible, the biscuits were not; they were overdone and hard.
Our reservation was for 2 at 7 on a Saturday. We showed up with 3 and the host was so happy to accommodate. Amazing. The server was very knowledgeable and friendly. Super engaging. Great job! The cheese spread is awesome. Must have! I had the filet special with crab and shrimp. You know it's fresh when you get a bit of shell. My guest had the ribeye but wasn't impressed. Loved everything else.
Shrimp and grits was extremely average!! The other items were ok. Food not remarkable this visit.
Great food and service. I come here every time I'm in town and it is always great
Great ambiance, great service, outstanding food. It was a great place to meet someone for the first time. It is an outstanding restaurant!
Excellent as always, great food, gear service
Great food, even better service!
Fabulous food and service!
Food was excellent and timely served...wait staff was very attentive. The only downsides were difficulty in finding parking because of its popular location (go early!) and it was very noisy inside the restaurant.
The customer service was excellent. I gave 5 stars for that. However the food was cold. We had to send our food back serveal times. The food wasn't very good at all. The local was nice. I may never dine at Blue Marlin again.
Blue Marlin every Sunday I can make it. Great fried oysters, wonderful collards and the very BEST Bloody Mary in Columbia.
Every dish we ordered came out piping hot - fried green tomatoes were delectable. We were going to share the fried seafood platter and they split it up for us automatically which was thoughtful. Friendly fast service.
Always love the Blue Marlin. The scallop appetizer is delicious along with the crab cakes, fried green tomatoes, shrimp, pimento cheese, and bread. Tried the Blood Orange Mule and it was delicious and refreshing.
First time and it was well worth it. We'll definitely be back.
Food was absolutely DELICIOUS! I mean full of flavor- every single bite! I WILL be returning as I cannot get enough of the absolutely amazing selections here.
