Blue Marlin
Stretching from Savannah to the South, and Georgetown to the North, the Low Country is resplendent with the bounties of the sea and coastal marshlands. Succulent shrimp, oysters, crabs, crawfish and catfish abound. Lush greens, corn, rice and ripe red tomatoes are plentiful. Low Country cuisine brings all of this food together in a sumptuous array of unique and distinctive dishes.

Great food as always, prompt and friendly service. Easily fit into our one hour lunch schedule without feeling rushed. Parking is the toughest part of dining in the vista.
Overall a really good business lunch and meeting location ... the menu selections cover options that should appeal to most palates. The portions are reasonably generous and not overly seasoned. My favorite choice is the blackened catfish and collards ... really good!
We had a great meal! The Blue Marlin is always a nice place to dine with family and friends.
Mind you, with the Christmas Holidays, the place was probably more packed than usual. But we enjoyed ourselves.
Food was warm but not hot.Play was undercooked but that could can happen. All of the food including the fillet and the soup was bland.
The waitress was very nice and attentive
We were in a booth but a large table of 10 was an arms length away from us to the right. They have a child it ran around the table.
My college daughter who I was visiting thought it was fine. Her expectations are low. It meet those expectations.
Made reservations and didn't have any wait time when we arrived, food and customer service was awesome
All aspects of our dinner reservation were terrific. The ambiance, food, service were great. I would certainly recommend Blue Marlin to others for a special evening.
Really nice, food was good.
Probably because it was before a holiday, but this wasn’t close to the great experience we always have. A little off on this night.
2019 is the second year I have spent Thanksgiving with my parents at Blue Marlin. We celebrate on Wednesday because the restaurant is not open on Thursday. I love Blue Marlin on any other given day of the year for any reason because the restaurant is a comfortable place to celebrate anything!!
Everything was excellent, as usual.
Excellent food and service as always. The shrimping grits are great!
Never disappoints. Gumbo is as authentic as what we get in the French Quarter of New Orleans and the Firecracker Shrimp are always a treat. Love the hot bread also. Great setting.

Great dinner and service. A top spot for fresh seafood in Columbia
We were visiting Columbia for the weekend and decided to try this out. I had the tilapia which was amazing!!! Huge portion and my husband and I could have easily shared it. Our waiter, Mitchell, was so nice and very prompt and helpful. He even made a great recommendation for an activity for the next day, when we asked him.
It was lovely collard greens are a must!
Our waiter was professional, timely and attentive. Our entrees arrived at the table at the same time . They were warm and delicious
Our server was wonderful and the scallops were great. It was incredibly loud for a Tuesday night.
Food was fine, but not excellent,v and heavy on the oil. Shrimp appetizer has small shrimp with a lot of breading, crispy and tasty, but bready. Service was excellent, helpful, pleasant. It was a fine meal, just had hoped for a bit more.
We were seated promptly on arrival. Food was good and service was very good. Yes, I'd recommend this place to a friend.
We always enjoy eating at the Blue Marlin. It seems to be a very well run operation. All of the food items I’ve ever tried are good. You can easily get a dinner for under $15 a person. Even so the service is top notch and the ambience is very comfortable. About the only problem is there is very limited parking just outside of the restaurant. However there is a city lot just over half a block away. The parking there is free for the first two hours. Reservations are available and recommended for busy times.
The food was tasty, the service was very good, it was a little bit noisy but overall good ambience, a little pricey but worth it in the end I would return in a heartbeat!
Everything was great except the crab cakes were cold. I like my crab cakes hot.
31ST birthday!
We booked a table without knowing much about the restaurant and were very pleasantly surprised - it was very busy (a good sign) and we were seated very quickly. Our server Molly was excellent - on point with recommendations and "there" without being intrusive. The food arrived at correct temps and at an appropriate pace. We had a couple temporarily join us while waiting for their table and Molly was right on it. Excellent food and the dessert portions were extravagant. I heartily recommend.
Food and service were excellent! She crab soup had more cayan than I care for but another in our party loved it so just a matter of preference. Would definitely return!
My service was amazing. The young woman who assisted me was wonderful. I am a vegan and she made sure that all of my food choices were plant based. I know you are a seafood establishment but I was pleased that I was accommodated while hosting my potential new business client.
Our server was fantastic. The food was delicious, my only complaint....and it wouldn’t stop me from returning, is that it was really loud. Other than that I was very happy and will definitely be back!
The she crab soup had too much pepper. She crab soup has a very special and delicious flavor and the pepper overpowered whatever was there.
Had flounder with collards and slaw. Some of the best collards I have ever eaten. I liked the flounder but felt it had too much breading on it for me which kinda overpowered the taste of the flounder. I would order it again but would ask to blacken it. Not your usual slaw but very tasty in a different way. I recommend it. Our service was very good. Can’t wait to visit again when in the area.
We love this place but the acoustics are so load.
I’m not sure if we’d recommend BM or not. We heard so many positive things so we’re excited to go there for our 38th wedding anniversary.
My husbands dish had to be returned.
Crab cake appetizers were good but not the best as others claim.
We felt the noise level was a bit much.
We were immediately greeted at the front desk and accommodated. There was also a rude lady that came after us and thought she should be seated before us because we were looking for a business associate we were meeting for the first time. The hostess politely asked her to patiently wait until he finished getting us seated. Good job.
The food was great and the service was as well.
As always, the food was fantastic, the server was attentive without being disruptive, had a nice evening.
I used to love this place and took my husband here to celebrate his promotion. Our table had dirty utensils and the spinach fondue was very runny. Our server was great and the firecracker flounder was pretty good. I just feel that this place has lost something over the years. :-(
Fantastic meal. High quality seafood for a reasonable price. Unique wine selection. Will definitely go again.
We've been to Blue Marlin before and everything was great but this time, the plate was not, steak was overcooked and the mashed potatoes were a sloppy pile of tasteless crap.I ordered spinach and got green beans. Service could of been better.
Enjoyed our overall experience. Food was very good and good size portions. Had a booth and was tight for five... would have preferred a table. Loved how this historic train depot has been converted into The Blue Marlin. Great vision...
Blue Marlin is wonderfully consistent in their service and food, always a nice meal and fun time!
