Stretching from Savannah to the South, and Georgetown to the North, the Low Country is resplendent with the bounties of the sea and coastal marshlands. Succulent shrimp, oysters, crabs, crawfish and catfish abound. Lush greens, corn, rice and ripe red tomatoes are plentiful. Low Country cuisine brings all of this food together in a sumptuous array of unique and distinctive dishes.

Food was fine, but not excellent,v and heavy on the oil. Shrimp appetizer has small shrimp with a lot of breading, crispy and tasty, but bready. Service was excellent, helpful, pleasant. It was a fine meal, just had hoped for a bit more.
The food was tasty, the service was very good, it was a little bit noisy but overall good ambience, a little pricey but worth it in the end I would return in a heartbeat!
We booked a table without knowing much about the restaurant and were very pleasantly surprised - it was very busy (a good sign) and we were seated very quickly. Our server Molly was excellent - on point with recommendations and "there" without being intrusive. The food arrived at correct temps and at an appropriate pace. We had a couple temporarily join us while waiting for their table and Molly was right on it. Excellent food and the dessert portions were extravagant. I heartily recommend.
Food and service were excellent! She crab soup had more cayan than I care for but another in our party loved it so just a matter of preference. Would definitely return!
My service was amazing. The young woman who assisted me was wonderful. I am a vegan and she made sure that all of my food choices were plant based. I know you are a seafood establishment but I was pleased that I was accommodated while hosting my potential new business client.
Our server was fantastic. The food was delicious, my only complaint....and it wouldn’t stop me from returning, is that it was really loud. Other than that I was very happy and will definitely be back!
The she crab soup had too much pepper. She crab soup has a very special and delicious flavor and the pepper overpowered whatever was there.
Had flounder with collards and slaw. Some of the best collards I have ever eaten. I liked the flounder but felt it had too much breading on it for me which kinda overpowered the taste of the flounder. I would order it again but would ask to blacken it. Not your usual slaw but very tasty in a different way. I recommend it. Our service was very good. Can’t wait to visit again when in the area.
We love this place but the acoustics are so load.
I’m not sure if we’d recommend BM or not. We heard so many positive things so we’re excited to go there for our 38th wedding anniversary.
My husbands dish had to be returned.
Crab cake appetizers were good but not the best as others claim.
We felt the noise level was a bit much.
We were immediately greeted at the front desk and accommodated. There was also a rude lady that came after us and thought she should be seated before us because we were looking for a business associate we were meeting for the first time. The hostess politely asked her to patiently wait until he finished getting us seated. Good job.
The food was great and the service was as well.
As always, the food was fantastic, the server was attentive without being disruptive, had a nice evening.
I used to love this place and took my husband here to celebrate his promotion. Our table had dirty utensils and the spinach fondue was very runny. Our server was great and the firecracker flounder was pretty good. I just feel that this place has lost something over the years. :-(
Fantastic meal. High quality seafood for a reasonable price. Unique wine selection. Will definitely go again.
We've been to Blue Marlin before and everything was great but this time, the plate was not, steak was overcooked and the mashed potatoes were a sloppy pile of tasteless crap.I ordered spinach and got green beans. Service could of been better.
Enjoyed our overall experience. Food was very good and good size portions. Had a booth and was tight for five... would have preferred a table. Loved how this historic train depot has been converted into The Blue Marlin. Great vision...
Blue Marlin is wonderfully consistent in their service and food, always a nice meal and fun time!
A solid restaurant...decent service...average food. Steak special was good. Fish was, at best, average. Dry and a bit rubbery. Desserts were good! Service good.
The shrimp and grits were salty, the scallop appetizer was cold, and my fiancé’s salmon was rare. I’m hoping this was just an off night.
One of mine and my husbands favorite date night spots! This place never disappoints. I always get the shrimp and grits and my hubs gets the seafood platter. Yummy!!
I ordered the crab cakes. There wasn't much crab meat, a lot fillers. Green beans were not very tasty. My husband had shrimp and grits. He said it was a little to salty. We were celebrating our 23rd anniversary. Very disappointed with our meal.
We love Blue Marlin. The service is excellent. Our waitress was wonderful and that is especially impressive as she was expecting a little one. My son requested Blue Marlin as he loves the fried shrimp. My salmon was delicious and prepared just like I like it. We are fortunate to have Blue Marlin in Columbia.
Making a reservation is key to getting seated quickly. The pecan salad with grilled salmon rather than chicken was just delicious. Always a good meal at the Blue Marlin.
Our steak was delicious as were the vegetables. Service was friendly, gracious, and prompt. Our cocktails were not to our taste and the waitress spoke to the bartender who sent us another to try.
Food was fabulous! I had made a reservation and i was seated promptly upon my arrival. Great service!
Great place for lunch. The serving staff is well trained and nice
Blue Marlin is a great place to eat. We go once a month and it never disappoints.
Comfortable for a late lunch. Crab cakes were very good.
We had a lovely dinner, and the food was good. The number of fish selections seemed a bit limited. The noise level was a problem. Service was great.
WE HAD 5 AT OUR TABLE. WE HAD TO SEND 2 OF THE MEALS BACK AND ORDER DIFFERENT MEALS. THE STAFF WAS EAGER TO ACCOMMODATE US WITH NEW MEALS. HOWEVER, THE INITIAL WAIT FOR OUR MEALS WAS LONGER THAN WE EXPECTED AND THEN HAVING TO WAIT AGAIN ON 2 NEW MEALS WAS A LONG EXPERIENCE. IT WAS MY FATHER'S 85TH BIRTHDAY AND THEY DID HAVE A NICE BIRTHDAY DESSERT. WE MADE IT TO THE MUSICAL THAT WE HAD PLANNED TO SEE IN TIME BUT DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO VISIT THE SHOPS NEAR BY......UGGG NICE PLACE BUT JUST AN UNFORTUNATE EXPERIENCE THIS TIME.....
We had a wonderful evening. The food was delicious and we look forward to visiting again soon!
Great servers (we had an extremely personable and proficient trainee in addition to seasoned server), great service, fabulous food. Who could ask for anything more?
Great food and superb service. It was a Tuesday evening and we were surprised at how busy the restaurant was. Really enjoyed the dinner, except it was very noisy and remained so for most of the evening. By the time we left the noise had subsided. I would definitely recommend Blue Marlin and would go again. However, I highly recommend having a reservation.
Food and service was amazing!
Great meal, awesome atmosphere! Highly recommend the salmon dish!
This was our third time at Blue Marlin, and it was excellent as always. Our server, Kari, was very friendly and attentive. When she realized we weren’t in a hurry, she slowed things down so we had time to dine. My wife and I both had the oyster and shrimp skillet, and it was outstanding.
We had a reservation, got seated right away, but after that, it was all downhill. People came in after us received their food, got rolls, and were on dessert before we got our dinner. No explanations were offered, then our server (after almost an hour) asked if we wanted rolls whereas everyone else’s were brought to table almost immediately after getting seated. Food was so so. Gave us two different menus and my husband didn’t get what he thought he had ordered. Would like to try again but apparently not on a Sunday afternoon. Rather disappointing. Was our first trip down to Columbia and was not thrilled with results.
Food was very good. We arrived early and were able to be seated, however wait staff didn't seem quite ready. Had to chase him down a few times. However, as the food is good consistently, we will be back.
