Great spot. BLT salad was spot on and the shrimp and grits we're amazing.
Food was marginal . The seafood was very oily and the steak was almost not edible. Service was bad. Had to wave dow watress just to get refill on water that had been empty for over 15 miniutes.
Nice dinner and great service. We enjoyed it and would go back.
Devon was amazing best server I’ve ever had
Entry steps are not safe for handicapped. Would have liked handicap ramp!
Sunday brunch at Blue Marlin is always a treat. If the weather is nice, ask to sit outside. Much quieter than inside.
I took my wfe here. Because she loves seafood , so I made it our Valentine's date dinner. But VERY DISAPPOINTED for the service there. First, after we were seated Our waitness came 15mins later. We got a drinks 10 mins after requested water. Our waitness cater more to the table after us. Not asking us we needed anything else. I need more water and never got it. Just NOT A GOOD experience from BLUE MARLIN. The servers need to work together It makes the environment better for the customers and the servers and the kitchen as a WHOLE.
It was very easy to make a reservation but parking was very challenging. The service was good but a bit slow. Good was great and the lemon drop was excellent!
Tried Blue Marlin for first time. Made reservation on Open Table and was glad we did based on the crowd and wait. Seated immediately in nice booth by window. Server was very helpful and had good recommendations regarding menu. We ordered the crab cake and it did not disappoint. We ordered steak and seafood mains. We ordered the steak medium and it came out jerky well done. Both server and manager immediately rectified and offered a salad to fill the timr it took to correct the order. The manager stood at the kitchen and made sure the correction was top priority. We enjoyed speaking with him after he delivered a perfectly prepared medium steak. It was very refreshing to receive the type of service so lacking everywhere today. We highly recommend Blue Marlin to anyone dining out in Columbia. Only wish they would have shared that a house secret is unlimited collard greens. We swapped out mashed potatoes for them on one entree. We are not from the South but can share we have been to plenty of authentic Southern restaurants and none prepare greens like Blue Marlin. Worthy of a meal all by themselves.
