Food and service was good, but I must say it was quite overpriced for what was offered.
Great food and drink. Good location. Lovely wee spot
We were celebrating our anniversary. From the hostess to the wait staff, we were treated to a special night. We loved the beet salad followed by scallops. We finished with the key lime pie. Loved it.
Overpriced for what you got. Won't be back and can't honestly recommend to friends.
Fresh seafood. Good service. It is a bit loud.
Great service. Definitely recommend to anyone who doesn’t care about cheap dining experience. Food was fresh and well prepared.
We had to wait 15 minutes for our table, by standing around. They seemed t have overbooked. Food was great though.
Hubs and I loved it. Thank you.
This was a great evening for us! The food was perfect and the restaurant was beautiful. Service was family-friendly but still felt very rushed to leave, with no asking about a second drink, even though we were asked about dessert. Highly recommended.
What a great resturaunt and amazing food!!
Oysters Happy Hour were outstanding
The oysters were fantastic. The lobster Mac and cheese was delicious and the fish and chips were perfect. Will definitely return.
A little pricey, but good food with great service. Would go back to try new offerings. A lot of texture in the dishes but not a lot of creativity with flavors. Half priced wines on Tuesday.
The food was excellent and not the typical sea food. It was one of the best sea food dinners I have had in Denver. I would have expected to pay 50% more. The price was great for the quality of the food.
Oysters are 99cents on Monday and that is when I will return. Oysters priced per oyster. Oysters are fresh and juicy. I tried the mussels which are prepared with a coconut curry- it was pretty good yet I prefer the garlic and butter version. Also tried the three clam pasta yet wasn’t impressed. Our service was not up to par.
Service was subdued and all business. Food came out lukewarm. Taste was okay, but my tuna was far from just seared.
I absolutely love this place. After living in Long Island, I miss the fresh seafood and thought I would never get to indulge in raw clams here, until I found this gem. Happy hour seven days a week is the best and everything we had was delicious!
I absolutely love this restaurant, and have been here several times. It has to be the best place in the Denver metro for fresh oysters and clams. The smoked trout dip is to die for and I have never had a disappointing entree. The brunch lobster scramble options have been the source of many happy dreams, too. Further, it’s a great place for family celebrations. My brother isn’t big on sweets, so they gave him an oyster with a candle in it for his birthday. Brilliant!!!
Fun, good oysters, the best clam chowder on the planet! Not the fastest service for drinks, but friendly
Best meal we've had in a while! The scallops were out of this world and the steak melted in our mouths! We'll definitely be back.
Disappointing. I'd wanted to try Blue Oyster for a while as my husband and I both grew up on the East Coast and love good seafood. The waiter was friendly but not terribly attentive - forgot to refill water glasses and never picked up my salad plate and there really wasn't room for it on the table with four dinners. No one in our party said they loved their dinner. My fried shrimp were very greasy and arrived on a pile of limp shoestring potatoes with a side of coleslaw that was about one and half tablespoons. My husband got the Taco platter which was very soggy and one of the tacos was overwhelmed with tarragon. We enjoyed the wine but a limited selection by the glass. On the way out, my husband and I turned to each other and said, "we're never coming back".
Food & service always good. Very busy evening but still taken care of well.
Delicious food and great service. Had the best crab cake ever.
Perfection as usual. Love the oysters and the fresh crab, but the cocktails are amazing also!
Great special occasion restaurant. It can be hard to find good/fresh seafood in Denver. But this place hits it out of the park. Especially if you are an oyster lover. They have an amazing selection. Also great wine and food recommendations by the wait staff. We'll be going back!
Love the Paella and half price wine night in Tuesday’s!
As always a great place for fresh oysters. Super service from Shane who is always attentive and thorough. Highly recommend!
We liked the restaurant, but some of our dishes weren't as good as others. Our server was excellent. We definitely had a fun evening. We definitely recommend the fried calamari -- it was top notch. We didn't like the tuna tataki appetizer -- it was underwhelming. Two of us had the Big Scallops entree and really enjoyed it. The brussel sprouts were excellent as were their parmesan potatoes. One of us didn't like the Seared Ahi. But overall, we really had a fun evening, just wouldn't rate the food as the best we've ever had. It is very noisy, so just keep that in mind. Our server was awesome - Shane. He went out of his way to make our experience terrific!!
They are always amazing at asking things I didn't think about, and making sure the meal is exemplary, both the quality of the menu/recipes as well as the service.
This is simple . . .the menu had a good variety of choices and every item our party of four tasted was great ! In addition to typical raw bar selections, they had Clams as well, which I have found hard to find out here. It was a little noisy, but not by the standards of some current restaurants. Great place.
The oysters, salads, wine and the entree were very good! Love coming here.
Great spot!! Oysters were on point and the service was excellent! We’ll be back!
We dined on a Saturday night. We arrived early for our reservation, ordered a drink at the bar and were sat 10 minutes late. Took 10 minutes to settle up at the bar. They had a menu of specials including a bottle of wine, which we ordered and they ran out of so we ordered a different bottle (it was okay). We had the clam chowder, salmon oscar and halibut paella - all were good. The soup did take a very long time. We skipped dessert since we had been there for 1.5 hours.
My husband and I were very pleased with the restaurant. The food was excellent. We enjoyed the chef- inspired presentation with a simple menu. The oyster choices were divine. Our only concern was the noise level which was quite invigorating.
The lobster was tough and the rest of the food was below average. This place has really gone down hill.
We had a lovely lunch on the patio as we brought a small dog. The waitress seemed to be in a hurry and started packing up a bowl of oysters when there was still one left and she took my mom's salad away before she had finished. It just helps to ask.
First time there and It was great!
Great daily deals
Our server Christian was awesome! The happy hour oysters are delicious and dinner was wonderful too, but their creme brûlée was the best I’ve ever had! Definitely will be back!
Our server Katelyn was amazing! We’ll be back soon with friends!
Everything was excellent, shrimp, scallops, tataki. I would recommend the chef not flavor the seared tuna, just let it speak for itself
