Wonderful food and great atmosphere.
If you want good ambience & delicious food, than Blue Hill Tavern is the place. I had the crab cake with lump crab meat & it was excellent!
Great waiter— John
Yes. Our server was very helpful in assisting with menu additions and menu selections. My daughter really liked her birthday dessert (Candy Bar).
Pulling up out front is a sign for valet parking. We pulled in stopped, no one around, we pull around the corner thinking maybe down further, nope, we turn around and come back, still no Valet around. We drive around to find a spot to park whick we did over at the Natty Boh facility, no big deal but but we wanted valet parking.
We walk inside and a guy sitting in the front window / foyer area never looks up from his phone. We walk further inside and no one is at the hostess station. The restaurant is clearly busy at this time (approximately 7:15pm) I take a few steps back and ask the guy on his phone " are you checking people in" he says "no, I'm the vatet" he goes back to his phone.
At this point we just go to the bar and sit, the bartender was very attentive and took great care of us. We asked her to check us in under OpenTable and she had to try several time to get the attention of the hostess who she said was on the phone" after her 3rd attempt over a span of 15 minutes our bartender just wrote the hostess a note, understandable since she had customers of her own.
The food was good. We had crab dip, and artisan pizza with a couple craft beers. We were on a time restraint (main reason we wanted Vallet parking) the bartender was kind and helped us get out on time.
All in all I would go back but it's the little things that make a difference. We were there appropriately 1 hour. Nice place has an upscale feel to it.
Had not been to this restaurant in many years. Thought we'd try it again and very glad we did. Every dish that came out was amazing. Service was great and we were seated exactly where we wanted to be on the patio. This is definitely one of our favorite new (again) places.
We went during Restaurant week to try a new place. Food and service was great. We’ll be back.
Enjoyed restaurant week at Blue Hill Tavern, had a 3 course meal for $35. The food was delicious, the server Bobby attentive. I would go back again.
Amazing Food great ambience and fantastic staff!!!
Went during restaurant week. Good food and our server was very knowledgeable.
Restaurant week in the summer. Nice menu.
Took advantage of Restaurant Week menu. Fried Green Tomatoes were scrumptious as was the Bronzino. Brioche Bread Pudding was insane. Thanks
Great food and service!
I always bring out of town guests to BH. You never disappoint, food, service ,& atmosphere was fantastic. My guests loved their experience.
The experience here is always consistently awesome. The food is always cooked to perfection and my wife says the Salmon is the best she has ever had. We always start with whatever the mussels of the day happen to be and have never been disappointed.
21st Birthday for my daughter. She enjoy everything from the crab dip to the Riesling and vanilla ice cream with her homemade cake. My older kids enjoyed the delicious duck and the mussels. Everything was great!
Fantastic drinks! Great food. Impeccable service.
Couldn’t ask for more!
Excellent food as always. Highly recommend.
Our son recently moved to Fells Point and I wanted to celebrate my husband’s birthday close to his apartment. I researched on Open Table and I was really impressed with the menu at Blue Hill Tavern. I wanted to order everything! It was a Monday night so it was quiet and our waiter was attentive and friendly. The food and wine was delicious. We will return with family and friends!
We called ahead and reserved an outside porch table but none were available when we arrived. Very disappointing.
A very nice dining experience! Good food, good service and a convenient location! Despite being in a rather residential city neighborhood, I've never had an issue finding parking. And for those who don't want to worry at all...valet is available!
As usual my latest evening at the Blue Hill was quite pleasant. My date and I enjoyed a lovely dinner and I had a fabulous chocolate desert... Unfortunately I won't be seeing this particular gentleman again. We just didn't hit it off. But hope springs eternal and I'll bring the next prospect to the Hill hoping he just might be the one. Wish me luck!
Was better in the past yet the menu has not changed. Had Salmon which was good not great and my husband and sons had mediocre meat dinners. Maybe an off night. Not very busy on a Saturday evening in comparison with previous bustling business.
Food is always excellent!
We have been to Blue Hill Tavern a number of times and always found it to be above par. This time we were very disappointed. I’m not sure if it was because it was a Monday night (should really make a difference) but the food was fair at best. The service was ok. In general, we felt rather let down. We won’t be going back.
Great food, great service. Friendly staff. Cool neighborhood spot.
Food and service has slid here. Used to be one of our top “go to” and recommended restaurants in Baltimore.
When the $27 New York strip comes outtough as leather and the waitress doesn’t know how to crack a smile, and the overhead outdoor fans on a hot summer night don’t work, you just know the best days are behind the place.
Ordered crab cakes which were fair . They were not lump crab meat . In addition they were burned on bottom .
We had used a Groupon so we did not let server know our disappointment. People seated 1/2 hour after us were served very quickly while our meal seemed to take a long time between salad and entree. Will think twice before returning
Graduation dinner! Our waiter was great and the food was delicious.
Food is great. Service is good too. Everyone in my group had a wonderful time.
My dinner was excellent and unique. Beautiful night dining outside in Canton.
Blue Hill is classic Baltimore: oldish, medium-sized, served by skilled, hip wait staff, and serving delicious food in a pleasant, mostly contemporary atmosphere on a street corner with plenty of light and peeks at the streets. I'd go back. Nice that it's near Canton and Feels Point w/o being right in the crowded main drag.
The food was excellent. The valet was pleasant. The staff was nice; however, the waiter seemed to have an attitude. I guess he may have had a busy day. All-in-all the experience was good.
This was my 3rd time here. Took my mom for Mothers Day. She really enjoyed herself. The food was good, but not as good as the last time I was there. I had the blue cheese wedge salad and chicken dish.
Especially not for Mother’s Day or other special occasions. The menu was very limited and the price was disproportionately high for what was offered.
I might try it again when it’s not a price fixed menu or a holiday but frankly, I don’t understand why some of the reviews online said the food was so wonderful.
Three of us had filet mignon which was totally tasteless and one of us had eggs Benedict and crabcakes and the eggs were barely done.
The place is beautiful but the food and the value were both huge disappointments.
Great food and beautiful place! Staff was very nice and the complimentary valet parking is a great bonus!
Everything was great, except the food. That’s most important and ended up being very disappointed.
We out eat at a exceptional restaurants regularly so it’s not very often that we go back to the same place and eat something we’ve had before but Blue Hill is one restaurant where that is possible - and still enjoy it tremendously. For my wife’s birthday we shared the crispy calamari, which was every bit as good as it’s ever been, and the Châteaubriand for two - likewise. With all the restaurants that come and go Blue Hill Tavern really seems to have staying power, and what’s even more amazing is that it still looks so good with almost no evidence of deterioration in the interior decoration or even poor housekeeping like you see in restaurants for a few years!
It was early Sunday and not many people in the restaurant. But the Chateaubriand was excellent!
