Perfect food and atmosphere! Love BYOB!

It’s always a pleasure to dine here! For lunch or dinner. The food is delicious and the servers are attentive. The mussels, beet salad and chocolate mousse are “musts” if you visit

Been wanting to try this restaurant for a while now. Food was great, I had beef bourginon and my mother had chicken, both very good. Was very quiet the night we were there so hope to return on a livelier night. They seem to have a regular clientele and it is BYOB. Will definitely return

We wanted a special place to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary quietly, gently and in a very special way. We found it at the Blue Heron.

Food was innovative and delicious. Also BYOB.

Dining room was loud due to a special event going on. Happy for the people celebrating but it wasn’t what we had been hoping for. Food and service was terrific though — we would try again on another night.

I’ve had dinner several times at the restaurant, but this last time was very disappointing. Food was cold and tasted a day old.

So sad! We travel to York at least once a year and have always dined at Blue Heron. This visit was so different. The restaurant no longer serves alcohol, but encourages patrons to bring their own. Servers were prompt and helpful, but the food, once wonderful, was mediocre at best. We will not return.

Was in town for bussiness, came across this gem. The service and food was amazing. My husband ordered the last order of lamb for the day and it was spectacular.

Great food and ambiance. I felt like I was in the south of France. Best lamb chops around.

A delicious meal was had by all. The lamb stew special was outstanding, and the service was excellent.

As on previous occasions the accumulated noise level from other diners was very high making it difficult to have a conversation with my own dinner partner.

The pleasant atmosphere was matched by excellent food and very good service from a cheerful server.

We have been dining at the Blue Heron for years , always enjoying our meals for brunch, lunch and dinner. The food is consistently delicious. Some of our favorite dishes include: red beet salad , coq au vin, beef bourginon, mussels& French fries, fresh fish entrees and chocolate mousse The menu has seasonal specials. The servers are attentive and knowledgeable about food preparation. It’s always a pleasure to eat at the Blue Heron

Table was very nicely set and ready when we arrived. The food met/surpassed our expectations.
We will return in the future !!

We had an excellent dinner here. It was a Monday, so very empty, but we had great service and were checked on often. We had baked Brie, calamari, cream of crab soup (excellent), beef chili, steak su poivre (the peppercorn sauce was incredible) and the chicken and shrimp. The food was great, the chef/owner was on hand an attentive, and we had a great anniversary dinner. It is BYOB, so something to remember.

We brought out of state family. They were very impressed with our dining experience. Food was well prepared. Our family has traveled to France and they felt It was like being there!

We had a wonderful meal on a Monday evening, The calamari was light and the tuna main course was perfectly prepared ! BYOB is a plus

I rated the food a 3, but can't speak to whether that's accurate or not because I didn't get to taste the food. After waiting for 5 minutes at the vacant host stand before someone acknowledged us and sat us, we proceeded to wait upwards of 20 more minutes for a server - any server - to even take a drink order. A server brought us water shortly after we were seated and told us she would be right with us, and a busser brought us bread. We had no interaction with anyone after that, even when we got up and walked out of the restaurant. No one seemed to notice or care.

We went down the street to The Paddock and it was a night and day difference. We won't visit Blue Heron again.

Great Restaurant. I have been there at least 5 times over the last couple of years. I do trade shows in the area every spring and always take sales managers and customers to the Blue Heron. They also have great service.

Excellent food and service. Keep in mind they have no liquor license. Hostess called to remind us. We were not aware of this and appreciated the call! We planned accordingly. Dining room décor is slightly dated.
