   Beautiful restaurant with amazing views of beach. Food was excellent. The service was impeccable which is hard to find these days. Alise Marie took excellent care of us though out our entire meal. Thank you Bluegold and staff

   Food was okay but expensive. Service was a little slow. We got a good table and view of the beach was great. We celebrated my husband's birthday and our anniversary and their celebration was disappointing.

   I’ve been coming here for a few years now. Unfortunately the place is going downhill. Service was horrible. The food wasn’t great. Something so simple like the milk rolls - burned .

   Fantastic food and view. Love the decor in the place - second time eating there. This time, for having a late lunch/early dinner and being near-empty, it was disappointing service. Took 10 min to get drinks, didn't have the bottle we wanted and then waited another 5-10 min to get a new bottle. Server was nowhere to be found for 90% of the time we were there, even if we wanted to order or ask for anything. Party of 5, trying to have a nice time after an engagement and this was not what we were expecting.

   This was a first, our waitress left before our meal was over. A waiter took over the service, telling us she was gone for the evening. Worse, the bill was presented prior to asking us if we would like dessert, coffee or after-dinner drinks!

   Overall we had a good experience. The food and libations were great and rememberable. But, our service was horrible. I understand everyone has off days, but we were not a priority at all, and the restaurant was not busy at all. Possibly short staffed?

    We were here to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We were seated at a lovely table with a beautiful view. Our server, Brittany, was sweet and attentive and made some wonderful recommendations. Our meal included the corned beef hash (while a bit greasy was fantastic-would definitely order it again), eggs Benedict (the bacon on it was fantastic) and tater tots. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and will be back. We also appreciated the celebratory treat! Thank you, Bluegold for a wonderful experience.

    Dinner at Bluegold was delicious and delightful as always!! The ocean views looking towards Huntington pier where as beautiful as ever. Ambience and service was excellent!

    This is one of our fav spots in The OC. The space is beautiful, the view of the Pacific, amazing and the service is friendly and consistent. This dinner did have a few misses: the onion soup was over salted as well as the greens with blue cheese dressing. My wife sent back the soup and just ordered a bowl of white rice in its place. That did have flavor with some garlic chips on top and wasn’t salty. The best dish was the seafood kettle in a rich tomato based broth. I was ok with a slightly over salted salad but was disappointed in how very salty the broth was in the soup. The restaurant did take it off our bill which was nice but I’d rather wished the soup was made correctly, to French standards. We will be back as this was the only time we found opportunity with the food.

    Milk rolls, eggplant meatballs and Brussels sprouts were amazing. I had to send back the halibut, it was very dry and flavorless. The replacement was the salmon and it was awesome. My spouse got the pork chop and thought it was very good.

    Bluegold has beautiful interiors and views. It can get very loud on weekends, but it is a very pleasant atmosphere during the week both for lunch and happy hour. There’s a good selection with outstanding pizzas.

    Beautiful setting and delicious food. Gabriel, our server, really made the experience though, making us feel welcome and taking care of our every need. Food came out hot and coursed out well and the view was incredible. It made our early Fathers Day so special! I

    Bluegold has always been pricey--understandable though do the high rents at Pacific City and the amazing view. The food, this time, was exceptional. Unfortunately the service, as always, was lacking. This seems to be a common theme here. We had appetizer plates and silverware that sat on our table through the entire dinner without being cleared, and our server missed out on at least one good up sell opportunity on wine by not coming around very often, particularly when our glasses were empty. Good for occasions as this is top 3 best restaurants in HB for food quality and diversity, but ... pricey and mediocre service. We'll go back, just not often.

    I have come many times for special occasions. I Made reservations for my bday & requested window booth. Not only did they not give us a booth or table by the window they tried to set us at the furthest table from the window. They only relented 2 tables over. Meanwhile for the remainder of our meal better tables remained open. My water glass was dirty. The manager was seen delivering food with his thumb in the bowl. The food was the only thing that saved the evening. I will never go there again.

    The food was horrible. Worst Cesar salad I’ve ever had. Horrible pizza. Seriously how do you ruin pizza? It was full of grease and was so see through it was gooey and gross. Husband had oysters and liked them. Beautiful restaurant- but the vibes were off. It was just an all around weird experience.

    Bar service was very slow. It was our Anniversary and I requested a booth when making our reservation overlooking the ocean, instead we were sat at a table. Not to appealing although a nice view. It was also about comfort for us as well. The food was very good and came out as needed so we could enjoy our apps and then meal. Our server could have been more persistent with brining our cocktails, however at times she disappeared.

    Terrible service. Abandoned numerous times as was the table next to us who had a different server. Very very loud. Lots a hard surfaces and loud parties, had to really speak up to have a conversation with person right next to me. The Brussel sprout app was good, the paella was woefully over cooked on the seafood side of things, the chicken was good. The bluegold dessert was mediocre at best, the lemon curd was tasty although a bit sweet, the base of the dessert was stodgy and was left uneaten after a few bites. Overall it’s likely the first and last time. I would go for the view again but not for the food or service

    Disappointed in the food overall. Creamed spinach was watery, No cream actually stuck to the spinach. When you served yourself, this watery milk like substance would just drain off into the skillet they served it in. The mashed potatoes had good flavor but where also watery. They didn’t hold a shape or taste rich at all. My filet was cooked perfect but was not seasoned that I could tell. All I tasted was the char grill flavor from the grill. (They may be known more for seafood, but there’s no excuse for bad sides.) Cool place, super nice server. Won’t be back.

    Food was excellent, beautiful location and ocean view. Service however, needs major improvement. Waited 20 minutes for my drink, asked for water and only one glass was poured. Disappointed on the seating arrangements. There were no tables for two, all parties of two were seated withing 2 feet of each other with no privacy for conversation. Two New York lady visitors next to me asked if it was a new restaurant as it is running like a brand new restaurant. I shared my experience with my neighbor and he stated he had the same experience six months prior. We will come back because of the food hoping service is better :). By the way we received a complimentary dessert from a party next to us, when I thanked them, they stated they witnessed our experience and felt bad for us that they were compelled to do something.

    The people at this place don't have the minimum knowledge of the law about a service dog. They treated us like garbage because I had one and insisted that we had to sit outside because qe had a dog regardless of being a service dog clearly idenfified with paperwork and wearing his service dog jacket. We had to leave since we were not gonna spend any money in a place that discriminated us that way. The "manager" and the host not only were total ignorants of the law but also acted as if we were not equal for having a service dog. We will report that this place doesn't follow FEDERAL LAWS since Service dogs are protected by FEDERAL LAW. Let's see if you guys learn that after getting in trouble with the law and stop discriminating people for having service dogs

    Food was excellent. Ambiance and views are great. Compliments to the chef. Creamy red sauce with mussels, clams, shrimp, scallops, fish, unreal. Lamb shank special over asparagus risotto, beautiful. My wife and I felt it was one of the best meals out in a long time! Manager and wait staff were excellent!
