Blue Fin - New York
Book your next event with us
Food was not good.
The waitress was rude and judgmental towards my friend and I. Not polite and the waitress didn’t seem to care about us in anyway.
Very nice atmosphere and near the theaters and Times Square
Unusual dishes and drink menu
Great fusion Asian seafood
Bad service period for such an expensive plave
We had a delicious dinner before an evening Broadway show! The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back!
GREAT restaurant pick for a special event.....you will not REGRET this choice
Nice place to stay with boyfriend, family or friends. Elegant atmosphere and a good service. The price quality-ratio was very fair, and I also liked the type of visual dish. Moreover, I was happy to find my Italian San Pellegrino water, which seems to be more difficult to find. Take care: in the restaurant it was really too cold, but we will come back for sure when we are back to NY.
Delicious dinner and excellent service. Everything was perfect!
We were a group of four celebrating two birthdays. We ordered a large selection of appetizers and two entrees to share. Highly recommend the jumbo shrimp, the fluke & tuna ceviche, the lobster & shrimp spring rolls and the sweet corn ravioli! But everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and the service was wonderful!! We were too full for dessert this visit, but the waiter surprised my friends with a birthday candle and some cookies for dessert. We will be back soon.
Terrific choices for brunch which comes with free glasses of champagne and great service and a beautiful atmosphere to enjoy it all in. Best value on or off Broadway! Been our favorite pre-theater choice for over a decade!
Restaurant à recommander, très bon!
Service was very slow during the restaurant promo. The price fixe menu was iffy at best. Cold soup was horrible, filet minion and shrimp (surf and turf) was seasoned very peculiarly. Not tasty at all. The pot stickers appetizer was delicious. Should have ordered two servings as my entree.
I would recommend this restaurant the food was great and the ambiance was nice
Every dish we ordered was presentable and delicious, but had to wait a bit for each time we needed the waiter.
Pricey but nice. The place is really nice for a date or business lunch.
Waitress was great and understood we had to be out for a play but kitchen was slow and then sent everything out at once instead of appetizers first. Food was delicious though.
I have been dining at the Blue Fin since it opened. I was happy to see that it has maintained it's high level of food and service after becoming a Landry property. I have always enjoyed this restaurant and have been confident when recommending it to friends due to it's reliability and consistency. This visit was excellent and the Restaurant Week menu was a nice surprise - also very nice variety.
Outstanding restaurant week offerings.
We chose the Restuarant Week Menu. Great Portions for a fair price. The staff was very attentive and friendly.
The food was ok, not outstanding, seemed touristy to us and over priced. Drinks were very good and waiter was nice.
Loved it all
We were all so glad that we chose the Blue Fin for a special birthday dinner. Everyone was completely happy with their meal. The Chilean sea bass was a stand out!! Will definitely be back for another pre-theater dinner.
I always enjoy Blue Fin. But, I'd rather have slightly quieter experience. I enjoy good conversation.
Amazing food and excellent service! Everyone from the front of the house was friendly!! Food was excellent and fresh!
Solid! Perfectly cooked fish and great cocktails
Food was fine but service was terrible. Two of us ordered the prix fix menu. Only one main course was served. Waited 15 minutes for the second to arrive. Service was so slow that we did not have time for the dessert we paid for. won't be going back.
The ambience was very nice but the service was not what I expected. They messed up our order 2 times and the main course took longer than expected to come out. Food was mediocre and the recommended Rose wasnt the best either. Food overall was decent only and service was below average
The bottom floor host(male) rude when i inquired if any tables available. Didn't even suggest "open table" nor suggested next day reservations...
Next day had our dinner. Same person met us at door...still rude.
But overall, food was great, thanks for the chefs.
Great value for restaurant week. Had two appetizers, Potsticker appetizer delicious, fig and peaches not worth it. Surf and turf entre very good. Had what was supposed to be chocolate cheesecake for dessert, did not taste like cheesecake nor had the consistency of it, otherwise meal was very good.
Went for restaurant week with my family. I got the surf and turf (shrimp and hangar steak). The steak was seasoned so much beyond belief. An ungodly amount of salt and almost impossible to eat. We were in a rush to see a show after dinner so I didnt have time to send it back. The shrimp was solid. Cool place. But don’t get the steak.
For ordering for 4 people and a 3 course meal for $400 it was worth the food
My steak was supposed to be medium well, it came out well. Our service was nice in the beginning but disappeared. We had to ask other servers, busser for water 3 times. The server gave us our check & over charged us. Over all food was good, needed a better more polite server.
We had a wonderful dinner at Blue Fin. The food was delicious and they brought out free glasses of champagne and Happy Anniversary written on our dessert plate! They mad us feel special and we will be back again soon.
Decent food. Frenetic service. Felt rushed and not very special. I was expecting much more overall, as I had heard very positive things. Disappointed.
Great food and great service. Not your typical Time Square restaurant
Night out at the theater with my 13 year old daughter. I forgot my credit card and they contacted me immediately so the rest of our night was not ruined. Our table seating was a bit awkward but not enough to complain at the time. Meal was excellent.
I’m sorry I ate at this place. The people in charge are not very hospitable. Wont be eating there any time soon.
We (three) were lucky enough to be in NYC to sample the Restaurant Week dinner menu. Although the choices are limited for that promotion, there was a good selection. The portions were adequate and appeared to be "full size". The food was well presented and very tasty. At the table we started with two chilled tomato & shrimp soups (refreshing and tasty) and one four piece potsticker which were nicely browned and yummy. Dinner for two of us was the shrimp and lobster gnocchi which had cauliflower, corn and zucchini in a flavorful lemongrass broth (we asked for spoons to get every drop) and one steak and shrimp combo in a tangy sauce. Dessert, included, was a choice of frozen yogurt with berries, a sorbet sampler and a chocolate cheese cake. this was a great find in the theater district that I will try again for the regular menu. (ONE CRAVEAT-THE RESTAURANT IS ON TWO LEVELS AND I WAS NOT WILL TO WALK THE STAIRS TO THE LARGER UPSTAIRS AREA. WHEN I MENTIONED THAT, THE HOSTESS SHOULD HAVE TOLD US THAT THERE IS AN ELEVATOR TO THE UPSTAIRS. SHE DID NOT. KEEP THIS IN MIND IF YOU HAVE MOBILITY ISSUES). this menu is available thru 8/16/19 with a lunch version as well.
Service was slow, used the NYC restaurant week specials. Great value!
OK. I had no idea this was part of Landry's. I have to say, it was wonderful. Our server was very attentive. The way the food was prepared and presented was outstanding. For a place right in Times Square, Blue Fin is doing it right. The hostess was friendly as was the waitress. My wife and I were very happy with the experience. Even my iced tea was refilled for free! Thank you, Blue Fin, for a great dinner.
