love the place went for restaurant week, i had prior activities before the reservations which i had to push back. they were super sweet & understanding the server was great & even the attention was great. i would def go back the food was AMAZING !
Food good. Service slow choppy and all food comes at once.
Sushi and trout were excellent. Nice music trio in the background.
Buen lugar, Atencion muy amable
Fabulous service and delicious food. Great gluten free options.
My friend and I went for restaurant week, and I ordered the mussels as a main dish. Not sure what kind of mussels they were but they were huge and very sandy, and personally I’m not a big fan of crunchy mussels. Sent them back and ordered the steak which was good but not amazing. Service and ambience were great so would go back and try the regular menu next time.
Very average food. It has changed from the past when we visited. They forgot about the special occasion
.Food was okay...nothing memorable. Service was very good and our waitress very accommodating, but the noise level in the restaurant was unpleasantly loud. We tried out this restaurant for the first time as part of NYC’s restaurant week, but none of the dishes made me want to return.
This was our first time to dine at Blue Fin. Our server was fabulous, all of our food choices were outstanding, and everyone in the restaurant was attentive and friendly. We will eat here again when we return to the city.
Centrally located in the theatre district, we had a nice pre-theatre brunch with friends. Our friends ordered shared sushi and raw bar selections. Our daughter had California roll, and my husband and I had the fish special. The adults each had a glass of wine. We shared some desserts. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed their meals, service was good.
The brunch/lunch menu was different and diverse but also included traditional comfort food favorites. Everything we ordered was delicious! The complimentary 2 drinks including a morning cocktail was a wonderful surprise! Our service was impeccable. Thank you Melissa for taking such good care of us! We were served on time and had more than enough time to make our 2:00PM show! We will be back!
Great food. Good service. I would most definitely go back!
The location is great before a Broadway show. Food is fresh, delicious and tasty. Great presentation, too!
Helpful staff and couldn't ask for a better experience!
As usual the food was excellent and the server friendly and attentive. We come her pre theater as the food is always good and very timely
Great seafood choice. First visit to NYC with the family and we loved it. Seafood tower and sushi were great starters. Branzino, scallops, and halibut were excellent. Dessert was a gem. Best restaurant we visited during our week in NYC.
We went to the Blue Fin prior to seeing a show on Broadway. The food was really good. My kids had some sushi and I had a noodle bowl with Ahi tuna on it. Prepared very nicely. My kids have food allergies so their food was prepared specially for them by the chef. Our server was very informed and knowledgeable on what they could and couldn't have due to their allergies. The ambience in the restaurant was very nice and relaxed. Our son wanted to go there again before we left NY but we ran out of time!
We went to Blue Fin for a Pre Theater Dinner. This was during restaurant week. The menu was limited but I had the peach salad and the trout. They were both delicious and flavorful. I was also please with the portion size. Desert was strawberry shortcake or chocolate cheesecake or sorbet. Our group tried all the deserts and they were yummy. I thought the strawberry shortcake as the best. Our waiter could not have been more helpful or friendly. I was extremely pleased with everything about this venue and will definitely return in the future.
$26 for the NYC restaurant week , but not very good deal with 10 mussels as entrees of the lunch ,(my pic is two lunch sets ) . the service is very good and everyone with good smile .
Nice selection of rolls and sushi. Service was great and fast
Service was extremely poor and food quality ok. Not up to par!
Fantastic food as well as the service.
WE WENT FOR A PRE THEATER DINNER, AND WERE ABLE TO GET OUT IN TIME FOR OUR 7:00PM
SHOW. FOOD WAS DELICIOUS, AND SERVICE WAS PROFFESIONAL AND FRIENDLY. I HAVE BEEN
A FAN OF BLUE FIN FOR YEARS.
Service was awful. We were never served bread as all the other tables were. Waiter was good until main course. He checked on us once after it was served then he disappeared for at least 30 mins. I ordered coffee which took more than 12 mins to get. When we asked for receipt and my coffee he was extremely condescing. Got the check finally- took more than 10 to get it back. He charged somebody else’s bill to our card. Condescending again. Really bad experience overall
Never disappointed, great service, consistently great food, perfectly prepared. Tuna and branzino were excellent.
Excellent tuna on soba noodle dish. One of our party did the Restaurant week menu and was highly satisfied. The sorbet assortment is delicious and very share- worthy.
The food taste and presentation was very good. The service left room for improvement. Silverware was removed between courses, but no new utensils were brought. Bread wasn't brought until the appetizers were almost finished.
Love this place!! Sea food is amamzing - ingredients are so fresh. Very creative.
As usual, Blue Fin did not disappoint. The service and ambience were excellent and the food and drinks were delicious. The Thai pot is a great favorite, as is the halibut with crab. We've dined here numerous times and have always been delighted with the experience.
Had brunch here pre-theater. Nice selection with great sushi menu. Had an awesome lobster salad as well. Nice touch with a complimentary drink. Great location if seeing a broadway show.
Great seafood in the theatre district, have been going here for years. The food was wonderful.
The service and food were all outstanding and at a good pace, not rushed but well-timed—as we only had a little pre-theater. My child has a food allergy and they handled it amazingly well too. We will go back next time we are in NYC
This was a horrible experience. The service was terrible and we felt rushed even though the place was half full.
Ate there during New York Restaurant week. The $42 prix fixe was a good value - sushi appeizer, interesting fish (trout that looked and tasted like salmon-- looked it up, it was trout) and sorbet medley for dessert. Will definitely go back.
A great place to get an early dinner before the theater. It is conveniently located to all the Broadway shows. The seafood is very good and the service is prompt.
We have dined at Blue Fin several times for the dinner menu and have always enjoyed it, from the service to the ambience to the food.
We were a little disappointed in the restaurant week lunch menu, last year we had the dinner menu for restaurant week, but our reservation was 3:30 ( too early for the dinner menu)
I had the peach salad and was delicious, the pulled pork sandwich was mostly the shredded spicey vegetables with a couple of pieces of pork.
The wines and cocktails are always lovely.
We will dine again, for the dinner menu( the halibut is soooooooo good)
The service was outstanding - the waiter was helpful, friendly and accommodating. We loved the food and enjoyed then calm oasis in the middle of time square.
Dinner after the theater was amazing and our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable !
Would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion!
The seafood catch of the day (trout) was fresh and well prepared. My fellow diners are sushi aficionados and loved their choices too. The spring roll appetizer was excellent - crisp and fresh. Our server was polite and attentive. Loved the relaxing ambience and modern clean decor. Great lunch experience on Times Square!
Went for lunch pre theater matinee during restaurant week. Interesting menu, but not for the unadventurous patron. The price was good $29 for NYC and portions were large....dessert was not included. It was $6 extra. Good service.
