Brian was a phenomenal waiter. He made sure that my wife & I had an enjoyable anniversary dinner! The food was absolutely amazing and the ambiance was marvelous. I would recommend Blue Fin anytime I am in Times Square
Super food and excellent service. Patrick our server was polite, attentive and knowledgeable.
The food was delicious and the menu very creative at Blue Fin in NYC but we found the service to be very rushed. When we sat down at 5:30, we told the waitress that we had a show at 7 PM. We ordered soup, a hot appetizer and some Japanese food as our main dish. We wanted things to be brought slowly. They served the hot appetizer with the soup and brought our main dish before we finished the first two. We asked them to slow down because we felt rushed.
Emily and Ruth day provided us a great dining experience and hospitality across the board. Thank you.
Absolutely delightful time. Great servicetvice and great food.
Loved it! Been here a few times before and was happy to come back! The seasonal kale and Brussel sprouts salad was amazing!
The food and service was amazing.
Always a gem. Great service, accommidating socialable servie. Everything is top shelf. The food is always a great experience for the palate.
Great food and a great vibe!!
I would not recommend this place as the steak was very tough, our food was bland and our server was rude. Not worth the money at all. Drinks were mediocre at best.
Excellent experience. Wonderful pre-theatre dinner. Food was terrific and the restaurant is a classy oasis in the heart of Times Square.
I had high expectations, so I guess I was disappointed. The food was just mediocre;however, the sushi and lobster bisque was to die for! Def a place for pre-post broadway. I’d recommend it, ONLY FOR SUSHI AND DRINKS.
overall was good but I wish there are more variety/ choices in the food
Love love the food. We went after an early theater show. Place was relatively empty. But still we were basically ignored and had to call out to different waitstaff to get our order in and get drinks etc. They could do better
My second visit. Our family dinner before theatre was wonderful.
Very nice. Food took longer than it should have but they gave free dessert as an apology.
Service was great. Very attentive and professional. Food was fresh and delicious.
This restaurant is situated right in the heart of Times Square and has excellent seafood. The four of us sampled the seafood and every dish was delicious. We would definitely come back here the next time we are in NYC.
GREAT RESTAURANT. CONSISTENTLY DELICIOUS. EXPENSIVE, BUT WORTH IT. SERVICE IS ATTENTIVE WITHOUT BEING OVERBEARING.
Fantastic service and food .
The food was great, the server Olga was great! The drinks on the other hand was so so but Olga recognized it wasn’t correct and fixed it
We arrived early and were graciously accommodated. We have visited many fine restaurants around the world and the flavors of our meals here were exceptional! The food, service and total experience exceeded our expectations.
It was great for our anniversary. They treated us well and surprised us with truffles.
Went for lunch prior to a Broadway matinee and was disappointed to find out they only had breakfast/brunch menu available on weekends. If I had paid more attention when making reservation, I would have chosen another restaurant. Food was good, service also. Place was empty and quiet, maybe because of the limited brunch menu.
Excellent sushi and seafood in upscale atmosphere with attentive service. Among the best oyster stopovers in town. Also try the lobster bisque. Refreshingly consistent top performer for a decade in relatively baren area of the theatre district.
Great food, would definitely return
Good food..fast service. Waitress kept trying to get us to order more food than we wanted but was pleasant about it.
Fat too expensive for mediocre and uninspired food. I used to love Blue Fin — a decade ago. It’s not worth it any longer.
Food was great.
This used to be a favorite spot for me but the food quality has deteriorated. Our server was very pleasant & efficient. I ordered the surf & turf special- the sirloin although medium rare was so tough- I had to saw it into tiny pieces. The steak went back mostly uneaten. Appetizers (soup & sushi) were ok not great - other entres (salmon, cerashi bowl & scallops) were just ok as well. It’s too expensive for just ok.
it was quiet in Blue Fin when we were there for lunch. The food was great. Server was very nice. The location was perfect - always nice to find a good quality restaurant in Times Square.
Little details that bothered me: a dirty spoon was handed to my companion for her soup, several lightbulbs were dead in the strings of party lights hung from the ceiling.
Blue Fin is in an excellent location, has excellent service but it's food is ordinary plus the property is in serious need of a redo. First of all, we arrived to a restaurant that was at best 10% full--it was Jan 2 and I didn't expect a crowd--but I felt we were wedged into a tiny table when we could have been placed in a roomier location. Our waiter was knowledgeable & helpful--he was a wonderful waiter. The food was ordinary even though the prices were above ordinary. I had a sushi type salad which was good but a modest portion. My husband's shrimp & lobster roll was ok but the fries were extremely salty. The coffee was luke warm--not the type of meal I would expect with the reviews I read--now, I do realize it was after a major holiday BUT we are not talking about speciality food. And the restaurant looks dated and worn--disappointing.
Très bon restaurant
Great sea food..Thai curry bowl and halibut were great!

Our go-to restaurant in Times Square
This was my 4th visit to Blue Fin and I am never disappointed. We are not locales so it is very nice to know we can return to a great restaurant in the middle of Times Square and enjoy a nice, quiet dinner. The food is always great. Our server- Chas- somehow remembered me from my visit 4+ months ago. That is truly customer service. Thank you all and Happy New Year to Chas and his colleagues.
We dined at this restaurant breakfast, lunch and dinner. With all the choices in New York we only chose this one because it was in our hotel. Breakfast with my 81 year old mother. Waiter apologized for being overwhelmed, I had to flag him down after 10 minutes just to place an order..Very poor service. Lunch with family, waitress could not get a simple request figured out. My daughter requested her grilled shrimp be not placed on her salad. Now for the reservation I made on Open Table. Waiter brought an empty soy sauce pot for ordered sushi. Lobster ordered was over cooked. We did get the manager involved but all she offered were a lot of free desserts. Will post on trip advisor to not dine here.
Having gone there many times in the past I was quite disappointed. We had two adults and four kids (ages 16, 13 and 12). Prices were ridiculous, service was odd and slow and the food was OK. Miso soup came out luke warm. We asked if they could make the crispy rice with spicy tuna or salmon on top (could not). Ordered shrimp and avocado rolls (6 of them) never told price. Cost for lunch for the six of us was $300 before taxes. For a skimpy meal. NO problem spending for quality but this was not it. The over priced truffle rolls were pretty good (once they came out - took about an hour). Waiter was hard to find. Had to get up 2x to ask for food, water, bill. Will never go again. Fail. I ALSO made a note in my Open Table Reservation that it was the 13 year old twins bday (no one said anything nor did anything). I am also VIP on Open Table and nothing was said nor was our table ready when we showed up.....
Grabbed some quick appetizers before a broadway show. Waiter was amazing and attentive and quick. Had time to order dessert as well. You have to try the apple spring roll dessert!!
