Our server was fantastic and helped us move along and make it to the show!
Food was great. Service was just alright. Staff spilled a WHOLE container of HOT melted butter on one in our party. Kinda ruined the evening.
Great sushi and a beautiful restaurant. I loved how they have unique sushi dishes that were different from the rest.
Nice for pre/post theater dinner. One of the best dinner spaces around Times Square!
I always go there before the theatre. Great location and they get you out on time. Food is always yummy.
In the heart of Times Square. I've eaten here many times and NEVER been disappointed in any level.
My my my...I had a bad experience (pre theater lunch) with poor service several years ago.
I vowed never to return but since time has gone by (6 years) my friends convinced me to give it another try
The restaurant is half its size but quite pretty and as requested, we were put in a quiet area.
The server took our order and disappeared for an hour
So, now, the menu... OMG...I had always enjoyed a large salad with tuna or other ... but not for $30 dollars!
And a burger for $28... we were blown away. The prices were equivalent to any steak or fine dining place in the city
An app, 3 small little taco cup for $18. No way. There is better for less in many local restaurants
One of the worst meals in at least 10 years. Subway sushi is better.
Disappointed in dinner. Lobster roll was mostly rice and fish on sushi order were smaller than other Japanese restaurants.
Blue Fin is in the perfect Times Square location for pre and post theatre seating. You can sit downstairs and people watch or soak up the ambiance in the main dining room on the second floor. I would advise against sitting in the two dining rooms on either side of the main dining area on the 2nd floor as they are significantly warmer. I have yet to be disappointed by a meal. Try the lobster mashed potatoes.
Too noisy and portions were not worth the $. Tasty food but just not enough bang for the buck to go back.
Great, reliable pre-theater tucked away from the hell that is Times Square.
Recommend the tartare trio, sea bass and, if they have it, the crepe cake (outstanding).
Excellent food, service and we made our show on time.
Will definitely be back!!
Our favorite restaurant in the theater district. Waiter was so attentive and food was great! Will definitely be back!
Great sushi. Waiter was fun & informative.
Nicest place in Times Square
Blue Fin has been a pre-theatre dinner go to for several years. Always good service, food and ambiance. The last two times I have been there, my guest and I were ushered to a back room off of the main dining room. The ambiance is non existent and the furniture is not the same and quite uncomfortable, i.e wooden chairs vs upholstered ones that are in the main dining room. I'm not sure how one is selected for Siberia but if you are, the staff is very accommodating in moving you to the main room....at least they were in my case. I will still go back but will make sure I request the main dining room when booking a reservation.
This is a regular haunt for me and it was a quiet day. Our waiter was pleasant as was the busser. sorry I do not know their names. The food was not as good as normal, FF were limp and the normally wonderful crabmeat salad did not match its past glory. However, will return. Thank you.
Sushi was not good. Flavors were strange. Rice wasn’t the right texture. Fish was not as fresh as one would expect. Bang bang edamame was wonderful.
Beautiful setting, plenty of seating options. Extensive menu. Excellent service.
Really enjoyed eating here. The sushi was amazing and such a huge selection as well. Their filet Mignon was very good for those not liking seafood. Waitress was very patient with us as we asked our questions through the menu. Daughter has a severe food allergy to dairy. We were very impressed with how serious they took it and that severe staff members were aware and spoke to her personally.
Had a great pre-theater dining experience this past weekend. Our waiter was fantastic and the food was incredible, the Thai seafood pot was delicious as were the scallops!
Service was friendly but on the slow side. Soup was good. Entrees were bland. Deserts were just so-so. Just another corporate chain restaurant.
Great food. Great service. Great location I’m never disappointed. It’s a “ go to” for me
Visiting NY for my 40th birthday and came across Blue Fin Times Square. It was the perfect venue and the food was very good
went for my birthday, this place was great! Had the tartare trio and the tuna as an entree. The tuna over the lo mein noodles was so delicious and filling. Then split a molten cake for dessert. Service was very fast, we were in and out in about an hour. We went just before the show rush at about 530. Would definitely come again!
Blue Fin has a beautiful interior and the food was lovely. Would definitely recommend this to others!
We liked it a lot! It had cozy seating. Nice decor. Not crowded
Food was fresh.
Had such a pleasant experience here. We got there about 4:30, so they were switching to a dinner menu at 5 and we just enjoyed drinks and appetizers before then. The food is suberb, but on the pricier side, so be aware of that going in. The seseme seared tuna ($37) was excellent.
Very good seafood in the heart of Times Square. For appetizers I had lobster bisque which was excellent and she had something like a spring roll which is also very good. For entrees I had the shrimp rigatoni and she had the Thai Seafood soup or something like that. Hers was very good with a nice presentation and tasted great. Mine was okay certainly not bad but nothing to write home about either. Perhaps it would have been better with some Pecorino Romano cheese. Service was excellent without being intrusive and the prices were quite reasonable. Very good wine selection. Also the bread was very tasty. It was essentially a mini wheat or multigrain loaf and if you like bread you probably would probably like it. I would definitely recommend and may very well be back the next time I'm in New York.
Lots of sushi choices and small plate options. Great place to get drinks and a bite to eat. Nice atmosphere! Our server was friendly and readily answered any questions we had about the menu.
We unknowingly had the latest reservation of the night on a Sunday night. We never felt rushed. The service was quick and friendly and the food was amazing! We will return and recommend Blue Fin to our friends!
My family was in town for my cousin’s 16th birthday. She had a fabulous time and an excellent meal!! All our dinners were wonderful from the sushi special to salad and entrees. Thanks for a wonderful dinner!
It’s very nice food and place
Was staying at the W next door and was not expecting too much for a hotel restaurant.
I was pleasantly surprised as all our dishes were excellent. The black sea bass was my favorite as it was cooked to perfection--moist and flavorful.
Had an early dinner before going to a play we told our waiter so. The service was efficient and did not feel rushed and we got to our play in more than enough time.
Next time we are in the area, we will surely go to Bluefin.
Excellent waiter ! Amazing food. A bit crowded and busy and loud but overall would definitely do it again
Our server was great, very friendly and knowledgeable about menu and drink
My sister and I dined here before seeing a show. The food was great and our server, Angel, was excellent. It will definitely be our go to for pre-theater dining in the future.
Other than sushi there was surprisingly little seafood for a fish place. Too brunchy.
Great experience. Best of all was the service!
