Great service overall and every dish we ordered was perfect and delicious! The bartender made us perfect extra dirty martinis too!
Have eaten there before. Always great. Will return again.
My business lunch was not on a Broadway matinee day so Blue Fin was fairly quiet. Very attentive and pleasant service, tasty and well-presented food and a comfortable table. Perfect for the occasion, I plan to return.
Delicious salmon and sushi! Service was also very good.
We love this restaurant we eat here quite often when we trek into the city for a Broadway show. Laura was our server and she was fabulous.. was a pleasure chatting with her. Such a humble and friendly human ! Food was delicious as always.
We ordered a ton of sushi which was brought very promptly and our waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and was able to make recommendations based on our preferences. Everything was delicious. This is a must-go when in Times Square.
Ask for Maggie
Got there early and they told us we could either be seated late or sit at the badly lit sushi bar. We sat at the bar and since no one ever came to clean the table which was still dirty from previous diners, and then no one came to take our order or give us water, after waiting five minutes for help, we left.
Have been coming for a decade or more... food is good/ I am especially a fan of their sushi, but not what it was in years past, both in terms of the sushi choices and the taste combinations. I miss the amazing sushi of Blue Fin Past. Now its just good sushi in the theater district.
We had a Pre-theater reservation on a Saturday night. The Maitre d’ sat us in a corner room away from the main dinning area at a table for six when we were only a party of three. When I asked for another table, he told me the private room we were in was very desirable. I had concerns that the service would be slow given how out of the way the table was located. Our server did his best to get us out on time, but the maître d’ was extremely rude, did not offer to comp anything nor apologize. Basically told us we could wait until another table opened up or leave. The food was very good, but I would not recommend this restaurant.
We always enjoy dining here; the food is great and so is the service!
Really good sushi and our server Lauren was so nice !
Too many places in the area that offer top notch service. Had poor bar service here. Food good though.
Always a pleasant brunch experience before a weekend theater-matinee. I would NOT go here for dinner - hyped and overpriced. This meal was great - new waiter was very thoughtful and will be a great addition to staff. The busboys are always too aggressive in removing dishes before you are finished. It is customary for them to ask @may I take this?” Or “are you still working on this?” - but they just TAKE IT. I had to request he bring back our bread plate. The place needs an update - it’s most glaring in the bathrooms - very 1990 in there.
The food was just fair. The price was too high. Service was fair.
Great place! Everything was awesome and the staff were helpful and friendly! Definitely going back!
Convenient to the theatre. I’ve had better rolls for less money, but it’s the city. Cheese plate delicious. Wait staff nice and attentive.
Food was fabulous and the service was even better thanks to Kendra
Was there between lunch & dinner so limited menu but we made the best of it. Have frequently been to Blue Fin. Food very good, service excellent. If you want great service, request Sara!!
Lovely atmosphere, delicious food, good service. Worth a trip
We made a reservation for brunch here on a Sunday and we are glad we did! The decor is stunning, the food is creative but not crazy and the prices were decent. Very cool mojito flight! Great choice - seems far removed from the crazy that is Times Square.
Good sushi, A little bit Cold inside ( we sat by the stairs above.
The springroll with shrimp And crab was great.
Everyone and everything was perfect.... We took my niece for her birthday and she was super happy.
First time at Blue Fin and won’t be the last. Picked here because or the reviews on Open Table and it did not disappoint. We had a reservation for dinner before a show and a arrived a few minutes early. Table wasn’t ready so went to bar for a drink.... as luck would have there were 3 open seats ..... bartenders were friendly and accommodating. We decided to stay and eat at the bar which was a great choice. We ordered a couple of sushi rolls which were great and the orchestra size seafood tower..... everything on it was fresh and perfectly prepared.... and for $148 it was a great value.... the 3 of us had plenty without any problem.
Great find in the middle of Times Square.
Everything was amazing. The sushi was prepared expertly. We thoroughly enjoyed it!
Fabulous, as always!
Having Made a reservation two weeks in advance I thought we would have a nice table but we were shown to the very back room which was empty and had the ambience of a Howard Johnson’s they did she change our table on our request but our server seem distracted did not mention the specials to us and the food was not as good as I remember
Limited menu, but the food was excellent. It is advertised as a Sushi & Seafood restaurant which I did not realize. I just remember I have been there several times and always found something delicious to eat. I would go back. Classy place.
Went pre/ theater. Did not have high expectations. That said- the food was just awful! Ordered several small plates and sushi rolls- food was inedible. Best part of meal was the cocktail and the bread. Very pricey - even for NY. Had better food at a halal cart!
Had a lobster Cobb salad that was delicious. My server was also very attentive.
Excellent food and brilliant service, would highly recommend for seafood lovers
On a friend’s recommendation, we made reservations for dinner before a show. We picked a table we preferred, and took our time reviewing the menu, ordering drinks, then a couple appetizers. Everything we had was delicious. The waitstaff was helpful, the noise level was reasonable, and it seemed every effort was made to show us a splendid evening.
I had the scallops and ravioli, with lobster mashed potatoes. Savored every bite. So glad we found this place.
Looking to go back and have an amazing meal...and will certainly recommend this restaurant!
Wendy was awesome. Food was excellent, service was great. Table for 2 is very small. We like to spread out a little bit. Amazing disconnect from the craziness of Time Square right out the front door.
This is our go-to seafood restaurant in Manhattan. No matter what, we always put BF on top of our list. Our guests from San Diego were very impressed with the quality of seafood with just a little banter on the size of the halibut. Oh well, we can't have it all, right? I would to get some white tuna on Chef Boo's chirashi, which is one of my faves ;). But as always, this place never disappoints! And kudos to our server too! The name just slipped my brain right now. Cheers Blue Fin!
If you are looking to dine in Times Square (maybe before a show), this is a good option. The sushi was decent but lacked a little taste. But it was still good. You'll pay "Times Square" prices. The service and ambiance are great.
It is a nice a nice seafood place in the middle of Times Square. They have great meals but yes on the pricier side but great when you need a place close to the theaters that can either serve quickly or slowly. It surprises you at the amount of space because there is a full second floor that you can reach by steps or an elevator in the back. Nice bar upstairs too. Staff is very helpful and efficient. Mine paid attention to me when my ice tea was low which is an important thing to me with a staff person. (Thanks Caitlin!) My only negative to say about the place is that the noise level in the place with everyone talking is very loud - sometimes too loud to be able to hear each other talking. That is a minor inconvenience for all the pluses.
We were given the back room and our group of 8 loved it. Excellent service- great attitude even though quite busy - excellent food. Thanks for a terrific evening. We will make reservations next year here for annual get- together.
This was a hidden gem in the middle of Times Square and we couldn’t have been happier. Highly recommend going for brunch as we did!!!
