We were in a rush and we stopped in at 9:45 at night and we didn’t get off food for one hour I weighed it was great but we were in a rush so I was all upset waiting so long.
The food was delicious
Great waitress. Excellent food. Overpriced drinks
extremely mediocre and a bit pricey for the dining experience
Great place to go before a show
Service could be improved. This place felt more like a club than a restaurant. They had no soap in the bathroom. I had to call to their attention that they overcharged me for my meal and the waitress tried to explain it away as if it were a tax issue. I had to request the menu to explain that the tax in NY is 8.875%, not 15%. They also charged $30 for a plate priced on their menu for 29 (the salmon). All this makes one wonder if these mistakes are really mistakes or intentional. I will not be returning. Sad, because I worked on Landry’s/Golden Nuggets bond deal for Mr. Tilman Fertitta to buy the Houston Rockets and thought it would be a nice restaurant to try out.
Our waiter Bryan was excellent and the sushi rolls were outstanding! Great location and nice staff. We had a great time!!
Amazing food....impeccable service. I would highly recommend the sushi.
LOVED THIS PLACE!!!!! Service and food were perfect!
Great food - great service - friendly staff - table location could have been better.
our favorite restaurant in theatre district
Stephie & Ron Stern
Great food and service! Not rushed at all but everything timely. Would highly recommend
Disappointed with the limited options in the brunch menu, had a disappointing experience with the food, manager did make amends though. Took way too long to get drinks and food, especially for a limited menu
Although it was crowded, we were able to hear each other without having to talk loudly. I had the halibut, she had the sea bass, we shared the cauliflower. All excellent. Wine selection was good. Vodka tonic not skimpy on the vodka. Overall, good place.
Great service overall and every dish we ordered was perfect and delicious! The bartender made us perfect extra dirty martinis too!
Have eaten there before. Always great. Will return again.
My business lunch was not on a Broadway matinee day so Blue Fin was fairly quiet. Very attentive and pleasant service, tasty and well-presented food and a comfortable table. Perfect for the occasion, I plan to return.
Service was great. So was the food. Been there a few times. Will go again
Delicious salmon and sushi! Service was also very good.
We love this restaurant we eat here quite often when we trek into the city for a Broadway show. Laura was our server and she was fabulous.. was a pleasure chatting with her. Such a humble and friendly human ! Food was delicious as always.
We ordered a ton of sushi which was brought very promptly and our waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and was able to make recommendations based on our preferences. Everything was delicious. This is a must-go when in Times Square.
Ask for Maggie
Got there early and they told us we could either be seated late or sit at the badly lit sushi bar. We sat at the bar and since no one ever came to clean the table which was still dirty from previous diners, and then no one came to take our order or give us water, after waiting five minutes for help, we left.
Have been coming for a decade or more... food is good/ I am especially a fan of their sushi, but not what it was in years past, both in terms of the sushi choices and the taste combinations. I miss the amazing sushi of Blue Fin Past. Now its just good sushi in the theater district.
We had a Pre-theater reservation on a Saturday night. The Maitre d’ sat us in a corner room away from the main dinning area at a table for six when we were only a party of three. When I asked for another table, he told me the private room we were in was very desirable. I had concerns that the service would be slow given how out of the way the table was located. Our server did his best to get us out on time, but the maître d’ was extremely rude, did not offer to comp anything nor apologize. Basically told us we could wait until another table opened up or leave. The food was very good, but I would not recommend this restaurant.
We always enjoy dining here; the food is great and so is the service!
Really good sushi and our server Lauren was so nice !
Too many places in the area that offer top notch service. Had poor bar service here. Food good though.
Always a pleasant brunch experience before a weekend theater-matinee. I would NOT go here for dinner - hyped and overpriced. This meal was great - new waiter was very thoughtful and will be a great addition to staff. The busboys are always too aggressive in removing dishes before you are finished. It is customary for them to ask @may I take this?” Or “are you still working on this?” - but they just TAKE IT. I had to request he bring back our bread plate. The place needs an update - it’s most glaring in the bathrooms - very 1990 in there.
Great service and food!
The food was just fair. The price was too high. Service was fair.
Great place! Everything was awesome and the staff were helpful and friendly! Definitely going back!
Convenient to the theatre. I’ve had better rolls for less money, but it’s the city. Cheese plate delicious. Wait staff nice and attentive.
Food was fabulous and the service was even better thanks to Kendra
Was there between lunch & dinner so limited menu but we made the best of it. Have frequently been to Blue Fin. Food very good, service excellent. If you want great service, request Sara!!
Lovely atmosphere, delicious food, good service. Worth a trip
We made a reservation for brunch here on a Sunday and we are glad we did! The decor is stunning, the food is creative but not crazy and the prices were decent. Very cool mojito flight! Great choice - seems far removed from the crazy that is Times Square.
Good sushi, A little bit Cold inside ( we sat by the stairs above.
The springroll with shrimp And crab was great.
Everyone and everything was perfect.... We took my niece for her birthday and she was super happy.
First time at Blue Fin and won’t be the last. Picked here because or the reviews on Open Table and it did not disappoint. We had a reservation for dinner before a show and a arrived a few minutes early. Table wasn’t ready so went to bar for a drink.... as luck would have there were 3 open seats ..... bartenders were friendly and accommodating. We decided to stay and eat at the bar which was a great choice. We ordered a couple of sushi rolls which were great and the orchestra size seafood tower..... everything on it was fresh and perfectly prepared.... and for $148 it was a great value.... the 3 of us had plenty without any problem.
Great find in the middle of Times Square.
