Very nice place.
Food and service were wonderful. My first time to eat here. I would definitely go back
The food and service were excellent
I frequent Blue Fin for business lunches and drinks. It is a nice place in an area filled with tourist traps. The upstairs bar is a hidden gem for after work drinks.
Tried and true restaurant near the theatre district. Excellent fish and great assortment of sushi. Perfect place pre theatre.
Excellent service from Maryia and Laura, impeccable sashimi, crispy tater tots, and an all around lovely lunch.
A friend and I ate at the Blue Fin after seeing a Broadway show. The restaurant is in the heart of Times Square. We were seated right away at a table on the second floor of the restaurant. The menu includes a variety of cuisines to choose from. They offer sushi rolls, salads, seafood appetizers and entrees. As with most NY restaurants, I found it a little pricy but the quality and flavor of the food was wonderful. We both had the Thai seafood miso soup special which the kitchen split for us. This gave each of us a cup of soup for the appetizer, which was plenty. It was delicious and so fresh with a hint of spicy ness. I had the tuna dish with lo main and shitaki mushrooms. Wonderful flavor and tender fresh fish cooked to perfection. The entrees range from around $30 on up with a few in the high $20 range. I would recommend and will definitely be going back
Really delicious sushi and raw bar
Can’t say enough about the halibut with gnocchi and crab. Off the chain!
The breading on the tuna was too thick. We were seated for 20 minutes before we were given water or asked for drinks etc.
Blue Fin was a wonderful surprise. Food, service, ambience, and value was exceptional.
I will be returning many times!
The food was delicious and our server, Melissa, was exceptional.
None of the seafood at a seafood restaurant is fresh caught. It has sustainably raised seafood however not fresh. Obviously for seafood restaurant not to have fresh seafood it’s ridiculous!
I asked multiple times the waiter for the same thing and he did not bring anything I asked for in a timely basis.
Mediocre food at extravagant prices.
High quality, varied menu selections. Times Square location perfect for pre-theater dining. The quality comes at a price, though. Overall a very enjoyable experience!
Have always enjoyed dining there. Never had a dish that I wouldn't order again. Staff very cooperative when we asked them to lower the volume of the music.
timing of our broadway shows got us back to blue fin only one week after our last visit. and just as good as blue fin was last week, it was equally as good this week. great spot.
Food and service are always great!! Perfect before theater for lunch or dinner
We went pre-theater. Service was efficient. Sushi was fresh. It was just fine!
I don’t mind paying the NYC prices but didn’t meet my culinary expectations! Halibut was over cooked and dry. Lobster Bisque salty and starchy with only about 1/4 teaspoon of lobster on top.
Our meal was the perfect after theater dinner. There were options for our very selective children and our whole family had a great meal. The wait staff went above and beyond with our menu and ingredient questions. The chef even answered some of our specific inquiries. A definite recommend! The seafood is beautifully prepared and there are delicious non-seafood options for the land-lubbers.
Great food great service very accommodating great location
As always, great seafood and sushi. Outstanding service too.
In the city for a Broadway show. Dined here as we had done so before and enjoyed it. Since we were early (5PM) it was quiet when we arrived but the crowd picked up a lot by the time we left. Excellent food and attentive service. We will keep Blue Fin on our list in the future
Favorite place in the theater district/Times Square. It’s hard to find good food and drink in Times Square but Blue Fin always delivers. Ate at the bar upstairs. The bartender was great. Super friendly and she knew a lot about wine. Found a new favorite sushi with jalapeños. Tasty!
Blue Fin came highly recommended by family in NYC. So we had pre-Theatre dinner there. Our food (all sushi, with melted s’mores dessert) was outstanding. Fresh, delicious & well-prepared. The ambiance was so loud & noisy we were shouting across the table to be heard. The bar adjoining the dining tables had ‘top 40 Hits’ station playing- really?! Add to the already cacophonous scene? Stupid. The service was extremely sparse & distracted. Way too many tables for way too few servers. Would recommend with caveat of high noise, low service, great food & drinks.
Delicious but overpriced. That’s New York for you, though. Great for a pre or post show dinner.
Food was good but high priced. Ambiance was fine. Service was lackluster - server was clearly not interested in his job.
we have had continuously outstanding food here over the years. a little pricey but then again you get what you pay for. combined with attentive service, it makes for a very pleasant experience.
We've been regular goers to this restaurant since the early 2000s. But it's been a couple years. It's still a nice restaurant, but it seems tired. Food was OK, when it used to be great. Staff was good however.
The elevator was not working so it was up stairs to get to the main dining room. There were a few tables downstairs in the bar area/lobby. The cookies that were warm for desert were a nice ending to the meal.
Always enjoy this restaurant and BR Guest restaurants overall
Der Service war gut nur etwas drängelig..... die Bedienung hatte zum Ende hin Feierabend. Das Essen war in Ordnung aber nicht über Durchschnitt. Weinkarte sehr gut.
I had the beet salad and the sea bass. Both dishes were amazing. I always order beet salad when it’s on a menu and Blue Fin’s version is what every other beet salad wants to be. Ditto for the sea bass with rice cake and sesame marinated grilled eggplant. I saw patrons ordering sushi and other raw bar items. The SB from Sancerre was delicious as well.
Always satisfied here
Have been here a few times ... bench and dinner and always very satisfied
We were in town for our 20th wedding anniversary and they wished us happy anniversary at the door, seated us right away. Our drinks and food came very quickly and was all delicious. We received a complimentary chocolate truffle for our anniversary which was delicious!! Highly recommend Blue Fin!
Food was great....service was great...great wine/drink selections...very cool vibe. Great location near the theaters. Will definitely go back.
Overall very good restaurant pre-show dinner. Menu was somewhat limited but the food was very good.
Food was good but not exceptional. Crowded everywhere in the restaurant. Too many stairs to the restrooms for us. Actaually hard to walk Between the tables and the barstools to get to the bathroom. Location in the Broadway area is convenient but there was not a lot of character or ambience to the property
Excellent brunch before a matinee. Just be sure to allow enough time as service can be leisurely.
