Blue Fin - New York
Book your next event with us
One of my favorite places to have brunch when I come into NYC. Food and service is always impeccable. Thank you
Great dinner out in NYC! Will return.
I very often have weekend brunch at Blue Fin. The portions are generous and the food very good.
I especially enjoy the glass of champagne! The service is friendly and extremely attentive.
We dined at Blue Fin on a Friday evening. While our waiter was kind, he was not very attentive and the service was very slow. I suppose that may be due to it being located in Times Square and it being a Friday night. Despite that, I felt the table next to us received better attention and service (possibly because of complaints made by that table to the waiter about the lobster). As far as the food, we had: 3 East and 3 West Oysters (decent, west were incredibly fishy), the Fluke and Tuna Ceviche (good), the Tomato and Peach Salad (great, maybe the best dish we had), Sesame Crusted Big Eye Tuna (good, but salty), and the Halibut (good, gnocchi was great). Overall, the food was good, but cannot say it is worth the trouble. It will not be on my short list of places to go back to in New York.
Katherine, the server, was very good and made sure check-in with us... The food came out less then hot... mostly warm... We didn't have the time to ask for it to be redone - so accepted the way it was. Everything did taste good.
Great food and great service but pricey
We had the miso glazed sea bass and it was outstanding. For appetizer I had gazpacho and my friend had spring rolls. All delicious. Blue Fin is one of our go to Pre-Theatre restaurants.
Best pre-theatre lunch in town! Great service too!
We had a very nice experience at this restaurant, we will definitely go back. Our waitress was very nice and the food was tasty. My salmon was perfectly cooked. I only wish they could adjust the spice is the dishes, they are too spicy for me to order.
The atmosphere was very relaxing; a dramatic change from the hustle and bustle of Broadway. They are bread alone is reason enough to go back again. I had the special of the evening which was diver scallops and they were very, very special! Their service was extraordinaire.
Post theatre and pre theatre dinner
Amazing sushi, cocktails and service! Amazing option pre- or post-theater
Fabulous food, service and ambience. Great place to grab a bite prior to theatre
Pre theatre convenient
Food, atmosphere, location all great! Service was fine but our server seemed to be having a bad day.
La comida está buena pero p
oca cantidad y platos muy caros. La bebida también.
Visiting New York
The service and food were outstanding
In my mind, one of the few "foodie" options in the theater district. Many seafood options, perfectly prepared as composed dishes. And one of the best chocolate mousses!
Our server was outstanding, aside from this its super overpriced sushi in a touristy part of town. Wine selection was ok...
It was nice overall. Service was good and the drinks were good as well
Good food and great atmosphere
Service started out great but then our server disappeared. No one bothered to tell us he went on break. Food was very good.
This used to be our 5-star go-to place in NYC. On this visit, it was just a nice place to eat. No specific complaints, it just wasn’t the “wow” dining experience and personalized attention we’ve consistently experienced on many previous occasions. I guess Blue Fin is entitled to an off night, right?
Just got back to NYC and went straight to Blue Fin. Such a nice variety of foods and a professional, helpful waitstaff. Thank you for a perfect welcome home.
Good food but skimpy portions and therefore overpriced. Therefore I couldn’t recommend this restaurant
Very small portions
Excellent food. Felt a little forgotten by the waiter near the end
We often enjoy a meal at the Blue Fin when visiting NYC in association with attending Broadway shows. The food has been reliably delicious and the Times Square location is perfect. My lobster Cobb salad had lots of tender lobster and a tasty dressing. My spouse was enthusiastic about his sesame crusted tuna. The three ice cream sampler was very good also.
Blue Fin if one of our favourite restaurants to visit when we are in NYC. It is located right in Times Square and the food is always excellent.
Food was not good.
The waitress was rude and judgmental towards my friend and I. Not polite and the waitress didn’t seem to care about us in anyway.
Amazing!! The food the staff the atmosphere, everything was perfect. The Sea Bass and the Salmon were excellent
We ate there before a show and we waited forever and no one seemed to care. We went early so it was fine, but it wasn’t ideal.
Delicious corn ice cream.
Very nice atmosphere and near the theaters and Times Square
Unusual dishes and drink menu
Delicious food. Wonderful service. Cool vibe. Great time on a mother/daughter trip.
We’ve been here many times and always have a great experience with excellent food and service.
Always great fresh seafood dishes. Also good pre theater. Fast service. Interesting dishes.
Great food. Love the ambiance
