From the team behind Chicago Q and Art Smith's Blue Door Kitchen, Blue Door Farm Stand dishes out globally inspired, farm-to-table American fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Reclaimed wood, a marble bar, and vintage chandeliers create a chic yet relaxed setting.

The restaurant is beautiful and spacious with a trendy ambiance. However, the food was just mediocre. The burgers had no flavor and the mimosas were less than half filled. We originally thought it was a mistake with how little the mimosas were. The space of the restaurant with airy and open but the food was nothing exciting nor was it very good.

Great breakfast spot, love everything on the menu and the decor is beautiful. Very attentive staff, the hostess noticed we had a couple birthdays in the group and brought over 2 mini carrot cakes.

Service and ambiance was very nice. The overall taste of the food was underwhelming. We had a little bit of everything and nothing really blew us away. The pancakes were flat and tasted a little like there was too much baking soda in them. The fried chicken had a nice crispy corn meal breading but no flavor...very disappointing with how good they looked. The hash browns were actually very good and crispy. The coffee was excellent but very small coffee cups and we had a nice spot by the window. The upstairs has a nice venue for events and private parties. The service was very nice and friendly and the ambiance was lovely, just were a little underwhelmed by the food itself.

We had a wonderful salad, split the burger and enjoyed the salmon. The key lime pie was very good too. The wine pours were ridiculously small. And we notified the manager.

I was to meet a friend here for brunch. Unfortunately she forgot our get-together, so I was sitting waiting for a half hour. My waitress was extremely gracious about the situation. My omelette was fresh, and the filling was delicious. However, for the price some type of side dish or at least bread should have been available. I was also very noisy in the restaurant.

Great brunch food and attentive and warm service. Cheese curds were delicious and the pickled peppers helped offset the rich appetizer. The ham Benedict was heavy on the ham but very tasty, especially the homemade biscuit.

We came here for a birthday lunch. One of the party bought a birthday cake but were told that it was going to cost $2.50 per slice to cut the cake. In all the time I have been to restaurants here I have never heard of that! We go out a lot and generally the places we go are good about things like this, but there you go, you live and learn. The food was really tasty and we all enjoyed everything we ordered. They didn't have any Prosecco and couldn't prepare a decaf espresso drinks either although they did have filtered. For such a large restaurant and only half way through the week, it is surprising they hadn't got these. Maybe they had a busy weekend. Anyway, I would go back for the food but the rest left us all a little underwhelmed.

Disappointing that the lunch menu isn’t served on weekends (brunch only) as this is not clear on the website. Brunch food is overpriced but the actual lunch menu is good value with the combo options.

Broad brunch menu. Nice table next to window. Large portions, good coffee. Arrived somewhat early for brunch noise level was reasonable, by the time we left (11AM) very loud.

Our first server was extremely rude. For some reason they seem to want to get you out of their restaurant really soon even though there were numerous empty tables.

If you are ok with a place that acts like they’re doing you a favor by letting you in, then this is the place for you. The food is quite good, but the staff must have gone to rude school. We actually found their aloof arrogance amusing. But we will never go back.

The food was cold and salty, and reminded one of reheated frozen aisle fare. The service was incredibly slow—we went on a weeknight, the restaurant was not packed, and our whole meal took almost two hours. At some point we just wanted to get out.

Not great. We went for restaurant week. The appetizer was very good, it the entree had little flavor and were extremely small portions for the price. Dessert seemed like it was made days ago and just had fresh whipped cream on the top. We had heard very good things from friends but unfortunately we will not be going back.

They put us on the second floor, which was cold. The staff laughed when I mentioned it. The kids menu didn’t have any breakfast items at 10 a.m. And the eggs weren’t very good.

I come often for lunch; always good food and service. For dinner on a Saturday night we had hostile/spotty service. My friends liked salmon entree. My veggie burger was nearly inedible, like a slab of baby food. Its side salad was , as always, delicious.

Love BDFS and have eaten here many times. However, I am now vegan and there is one menu item that fits that eating style (soup). Even the "veggie burger" is made with egg. That was a disappointing surprise.

Ordered a coffee, starter and breakfast, they forgot to put our order in but we had to track someone down to get a refill on the coffee (took way longer than it should have) and then again tracking down our server to see where our food was. We enjoyed this spot but will go elsewhere in the future. Every time we have been in the past it takes over an hour to get breakfast food.

I came with 4 friends with 2 that had never been before. this is my 5th time and it never disappoints .. I had also hosted a bridal shower over the summer which turned out beautiful except for the heat...

This place is cool. The red sangria was super yummy. We went for Sunday brunch. Everyone loved their food. I had the hash. It was not as flavorful as everyone else’s meals.

Don’t ask for hot tea on a cold winter night- because you won’t get the flavor you asked for, the waiter will be visibly annoyed when you point this out and the next cup he brings- which he swears is jasmine- doesn’t taste anything like jasmine and the water is lukewarm. Otherwise, the food was good!

I made reservations for 5 using OpenTable for the first time to celebrate my husband’s birthday at Blue Door Farm on Halsted. I had a great experience using OpenTable. and Blue Door Farm was great. The service is attentive, but not suffocating. The food was excellent and my husband and family had an enjoyable time. I highly recommend using OpenTable and Blue Door Farm.

My fiancé and I went for the there first time on a brunch date. The food was amazing. Even my grapefruit juice was delicious and fresh. I loved the fact that they brought the food on floral plates. The restaurant is rustic and welcoming. Simply adorable.

Service was bad, we waited 10 minutes before getting asked what we wanted to order. Then, the food took awhile to come out. The ambience is great though and the food is delicious, so I’ll definitely be back.
