I took my mom out for lunch and we were given a wonderful window view. The service was great, and the meal delicious. I always love going to the Blue Crab, and this experience was comparable to the other times I've been there. Good service, good food, good atmostphere. Thanks!

I sent my Husband, Brother in law (his 50th bday), and daughter in for dinner. My brother in law just moved to Victoria and he wanted to go to a fantastic Seafood restaurant; I had eaten there a year ago and was pleased. However, it was a disappointment this time.
I phoned in advance and asked for a special dessert for my brother in law and to add it to the bill. They brought a simple piece of cake with a candle...my husband said it was fair at best and not special. The crab cakes were good as an appy. My husband asked the server for a recommendation for his dinner and followed the servers advice for a Nicoise Salad; he said he couldn't believe he paid over $30 for a "tuna salad" that had very little flavour. My daughter was underwhelmed with her dinner as well. She is a server herself and said that the server was good though.

Nice people, beautiful views, sorry that I cannot be more positive but the value was left wanting. My shrimp and scallops had three scallops and two shrimps, finely adorned, but lacking in food. My wife had the cod, her comment was "very average". My guests were too polite to say anything, but I wish had taken them elsewhere.

Everything was just ok... we were seated near the bar for lunch at a table which did have a beautiful view but with the sun streaming through we could see everything was filthy. It really needs a good scrub or at least a vacuum! Turned us off...

Mussels were very tender and so were the scallops. Our server Craig was very friendly and chatty.

We booked this reservation in advance for an Easter Sunday buffet brunch. We called to confirm the online reservation had been received and to confirm this was a buffet brunch. The staff member who took our call made sure to confirm with us that we were aware of the price being $45 per person. We confirmed, yes, we were now aware and still wanted the reservation. On Easter Sunday, April 1st, upon arriving at the restaurant, we were informed that "the kitchen has changed their mind" and they "decided not to do a buffet, but rather offered an "a-la-carte" brunch menu. We finished our Mimosas (the drinks were very good and the service was very good) and went elsewhere, but very disappointed as there was no way at the last minute we would be able to get a seating at any other Easter Sunday buffet anywhere in the city.

My wife and I went to the Blue Crab for Easter brunch. The service was prompt and friendly. The menus selection was good and the prices reasonable. The food was tasty. The location of the restaurant or the Inner Harbour in Victoria is great. The views out to the water are terrific.

The food was good, however the price for two scallops and three prawns was way out of line with regards to value. My guest's enjoyed their meal, however, the waiter kept trying to get one of them to change their mind about the steak they were ordering and how it was to be cooked. This guest is a very stubborn person and knows what he likes. Wasn't impressed with overall manner of waiter. He tended to make us rush while placing our order.

It was a night out during our stay in Victoria ... we were attracted by the special rates for dining and previous experience on prior trips. The food and service were both good and made for an enjoyable evening.

Dinner was excellent; the food, the view and the service were stellar as always. This is one of our favourite restaurants and one we highly recommend.

We stayed at the Coast Harbour hotel and we’re delighted with the Blue Crab restaurant. We ate several meals there!

Everything from the service to the food to the view was outstanding. The food was a 10/10. Pricy but that’s expected for how tasty/portion size and the view will get you. I would recommend this to anyone. My friend I went with also enjoyed it just as much.

My wife and I were fortunate to have the opportunity to visit Victoria this past weekend. The Blue Crab was highly recommended by a number of people for its fine dining experience in a very intimate setting. The food did not disappoint and the service was excellent.

We went here for a date night and everything was great. We happened to be there for the Feast meals which were a great deal for a Ton of food!

Waiter spilled red wine on my daughters Hat and clandestinely grabbed some Soda to clean off - ok, but don’t charge me $6.... sheesh

One of the best views in town, and the food was great to boot! Service was very attentive without being intrusive, and overall we had a great evening!

The food was fabulous, the service was great, the view is stunning. The menu was pricey even with taking advantage of the Feast pricing in relation to portion size.

Host was super...not only in the welcome but also continued to engage (with genuine interest) with diners ensuring their experience was a good one. Delicious food.

Food was good (not incredibly considering the prices) and service overall was efficient but very formal/serious from the two main staff that attended to our needs. Dine around options were handy but appreciated still being able to choose a la carte; very romantic setting with great views.

We had an amazing time there. They greeted us very well, and seated us very quickly. The food tasted amazing and the view was absolutely breathtaking. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Had a table next to the window and had their crab. Was very good.

Very good food and a great harbour view. This place is easy to forget about but excellent and needs to be a go to.

My son and daughter in law were visiting me from the mainland and as he used to be an Executive Chef.... he wanted me to choose a very nice place for an evening meal....we were given a window table which was wonderful ! We really enjoyed our meals......and appreciate the good service from our waiter..........we will be back!

GREAT LOCATION - GOOD FOOD -FRIENDLY SERVICE, THOUGH SLOW. APPEARED TO BE ONLY ONE SERVER FOR THE WHOLE EATING AREA. CONDITION OF UPHOLSTERY VERY SURPRISING. IT WAS OBVIOUSLY WELL OVER DUE FOR REPLACEMENT. HAD I BEEN WEARING LIGHTWEIGHT CLOTHES THERE WAS A DISTINCT POSSIBILITY I WOULD HAVE SNAGGED MY SKIRT/PANTS

Blue Crab is one our favourites. The view is wonderful. The staff is very friendly. I had the scallop appetizer, my usual choice and it was absolutely delicious!

dine around menu confusion. Did not like that you could not swap an item from one price menu to another without $10.00 charge even though the individual items were the same price eg swap soups.

Food was very tasty and dishes were unique. However, portions were very small. I am celiac and found they had very limited options for gluten free, especially appys. Service was excellent. Prices were high for what we received.
We left feeling somewhat disappointed.

Main complaint...charging an extra $2 for bread. A chintzy tactic unworthy of a high end restaurant.

The dine around experience turns the menu into a “costumized menu” with made up items and made up prices and apparently the servicing staff doesn’t seem happy about this either.

Excellent experience, as always. I have dined here several times over several years and have always left extremely satisfied. This time was no different. Our host asked if we would be willing to wait a few minutes so that we could get a fantastic table. While seeting us right by the window, he again thanked us for our patience. His manner was professional and wonderful.
The food was delicious, service from our server perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.
We live on the mainland and rarely make it to Victoria but a dinner here is always incorporated.
