We have been several times for brunch & dinner & have never been disappointed. We tell everyone we know about it! We see the Chef/owner stop at every table every time we have been. The menu is fresh. The specialty drinks are always delicious. We haven’t tried a themed dinner night yet but plan to. As with most restaurants these days staffing has been an issue but it won’t deter us from supporting local restaurants! Cheers!

The creativity in the kitchen is amazing. Food was awesome. The entire place is very clean. We sat at the bar for Sunday brunch. The seats are really comfortable. The bar manager was working that shift and she is so great. Knowledgeable, creative with her cocktails and genuinely nice. Great time and we have already planned a return trip for dinner.

The food was outstanding. I got the crab ravioli and there were maybe 5 total raviolis, not terrible but I ate all of it and could have eaten something else (rare for me). We ordered an appetizer that got forgotten to be put in so we were absolutely starving. Our drinks took a while as well as the complimentary bread that was supposed to go to our table. The bill wasn’t compromised for having missed out on our appetizer or waiting 45 minutes for entrees, but we might give this another shot in a few months when the kinks are worked out.

This is my favorite new restaurant. I have enjoyed lunch, brunch and dinner several times each. I've told everyone I know about how wonderful this place is. Keep up the great work!

We arrived 5 minutes early for our 6:15 reservation and were immediately seated. We sat for 20 minutes before anyone approached our table to take our drink order. Another 25 minutes later our waitress returned to take our dinner order, assuring us that we would have food in 20 minutes. 45 minutes later food was brought to our table but was not our order. Each entree is paired with specific sides (so if you do not like/eat brussel sprouts, you still get them) there are no substitutions. Homemade crab ravioli sounded wonderful. The pasta was there, the price was there, but the crab was nowhere to be found. The most positive statement I can say is that it no longer looks like a Taco Bell inside.

A great attempt at a chef-owned boutique restaurant in Poquson. The menu is focused on Pork and Pork options. The execution of various dishes is good but could stand to have a more sophisticated precision. Appetizers are wonderful Choice and options on dinner are also wonderful -- but the the final product is either over or under seasoned. Cocktails tend to lean to simpler pre-made options. We ordered a Christmas Mule -- which we were told came in a rocks glass not the copper Mule mugs that were at the bar. We were told the owner didn't like the look of the copper. Don't serve a Moscow Mule if you're not going to put it in the right glassware. A great sophisticated craft cocktail menu (that can be pulled off by the staff) would complement their excellent wine list. With a few tweaks, I think the place could rise to the top of the area very quickly. Servers were short-handed (something all restaurants are dealing with). Our server at the bar was extremely pleasant hardworking and did everything they could to make it a great evening. She is to be congratulated. The entire staff should be commended. I look forward to going back in 6 months to see how they have evolved and grown!

Great oysters and duck spring rolls as appetizers, we went during a non peak time, pretty much had the place to ourselves and the bartender was excellent. The only criticism I could give is that the lunch menu is not real exciting it could do for more creative dish’s for the prices.

With Covid, it is completely understandable that a few items were out of stock when we went but we had the Duck Confit Spring Rolls, Caesar Salad, and Braised Pork. All items were fantastic! We will be going back for sure.

Did Brunch…the pineapple creamsicle mimosa was to die for! Great fresh omelet with goat cheese, spinach and roasted tomatoes and the potatoes with sweet potatoes were delish! BCPP never disappoints! Everyone loved their choices, with lots of brunch selections.

Celebrating a family birthday- had a bit of trouble finding the place in the dark at night not being familiar with the area. I booked this restaurant because of the reviews and they were right on! All enters were excellent- I had flounder and it was prepared perfectly. Others in our group had multiple pork dishes and loved them also. Signature drink were fun and our server was excellent. Just be advised restaurant is not in Williamsburg proper- about a 25 minute drive from the historic area. Highly recommend!

Another fabulous meal at Blue Crab Purple Pig! I tried the flounder this time and he had the Crab Ravioli- both were delicious. The bacon wrapped dates and pumpkin creme brûlée didn’t disappoint! We’ll be back 😊

Went for anniversary dinner…the food and service were great…it’s high end food made by a real chef so prices were little high as well but we expected that. Had the rack of lamb and the wife had the lobster ravioli…portions were good and tasted great! Would have been the perfect place for an anniversary if it was more private as tables are relatively close together in a small open room environment. Still a great spot that we can add to our list!

We absolutely loved our dining experience at the Blue Crab & Purple Pig! Kyle, our server, was very knowledgeable and engaging. The Chef (and owner) stopped by to say hi and ask how our meal was. We ordered the soup of the day (a new type of clam chowder that wasn’t the typical heavy cream base but more like a lighter potato soup…delish), the pork chop with (amazing) brussel sprouts and sweet potato mash, and the grouper with wild rice and perfectly wilted spinach. We ordered the pumpkin creme brûlée to go so we are looking forward to enjoying that 😊 overall a really fantastic dining experience. We will definitely recommend and return!

Don't know how we've never been to this place before tonight. Had a great time! Amazing food (crab ravioli and rack of lamb), attentive staff, quick kitchen. Really nothing more to ask for, we'll definitely be coming back.

When we first got there we ask our waiter about the special on the chalkboard he told there are no special and we couldn't get anything of those. He then asked us what we want to drink. My husband got a bloody mary and I got unsweetened tea. The waiter took our orders. When he got his drink and had some he was a bit disappointed because he said it didn't have olives. Then while we waited for our food. I got disappointed as I heard the waitress talk to the guys next to us. As they both order soup from the chalkboard which we were not we could not because non of it was available. My husband did ask the waiter about the olives he said it because they were out but there was olives juice. My husband said it would have been nice to be told that. And he asked the waiter why he didn't tell him about the bloody mary special? The waiters sing a little bit flustered and then just told my husband is because he was busy and he's running around a lot. We like ok and made us want to ask him anything else and just wait for our food. The food over was pretty good we were just disappointed about the service.

This place has high end prices but there are much better high end restaurants with better service and atmosphere. The bartender had drinks to make as mine was one but then left to take orders at tables. The service was a hot mess. The prices did not luve up to experience, we'll stick to Baker's Wife instead.
