Food was awesome
My wife and I tried some food we normally would not order and it was tremendous
I think it would have been better if there wasn’t an annoying group of people. Food was good. Service was ok
Superb food and service, worthy of a Michelin star.
Quiet table after we asked to be moved away from some well-lubricated, inconsiderate and noisy fellow guests.
Poor experience with management and staff not caring if the table was serviced properly. Three dinners came out with the 4th served 30 min later
Much better restaurants in the Island
Always look forward to going here when we come to Grand Cayan
Wonderful experience - we are considering going back again tonight. Service was exceptional and dishes were beautiful and delicious.
each time we travel to the cayman's, we dine at blue cilantro and it is consistently great. we recommend it to people we meet and they, too, recommend it! blue cilantro is the BEST restaurant on the island.
It was very good atmosphere and the service was five star! The food was very nicely prepared and the flavours were wonderful. Even the cocktails were crafted with care to match the esthetic. I will go again!
Excellent food and excellent service. A must visit when going to Grand Cayman. They even have a kid’s menu if the little ones are tagging along.
Excellent food, excellent service. Will definitely go again.
Fantastic flavors and service. Make sure to try all the flavors on the plate, outstanding combinations!
Super yummy brunch. The crab claws were insanely good as were the waffles. Would highly recommend this brunch to anyone.
Outstanding dinner- fabulous food, impeccable service. Selection on the menu offered something for everyone- fish, meat, lamb, duck, vegetarian. A place not to be missed.
Nice food but way overpriced. Vibe was super weird and dull. Won’t be going back.
Food and service were exceptional. Creative and thoughtful combinations of flavors that were a treat. Enjoyed every course. A little more expensive, but we’ll worth it compared to the other restaurants. All were very good, but this was a treat. Must visit for foodies.
Very expensive. Everything was high quality. Sauces, fish, and naan bread are all excellent.
We recently enjoyed Sunday brunch at Blue Cilantro. They have a different concept from the other Sunday brunches on Grand Cayman and serve a la carte. You select a breakfast item from a selection, two dinner entrees and then the staff brings small plates of lots & lots of sides. All the while, they pour endless prosecco. The quality and taste of the food was excellent and the service friendly. The restaurant was quite loud, as it’s a popular place for groups of locals to gather on Sundays. It is pricey....just under US$100 per person.
Looking for a good and special restaurant for our first dinner first trip to Grand Cayman and we found it! Food was delicious and beautifully presented, services were exquisite, restaurant is tastefully decorated, good collections of wines.
Dinner for 6 people on a Thursday night. Food and service was excellent, combo of fish, shrimps, octopus and an absolute must are the breads!!! Fresh HOT nan bread out of this world yum!
Chef Shetty delivers an East-meets-West menu with refined service. I’d put Blue Cilantro in the top 4 or 5 restaurants on Grand Cayman.
Blue Cilantro was highly recommended by someone who is very discerning so we were not surprised that it was so wonderful! Food, service, presentation, atmosphere - very special evening to cap off our trip!
The staff is beyond amazing!!!!!
We took our family of 9 there for New Years Eve. We were. Init told that they had a special menu when we made the reservation, nor when we called to confirm and change the number of guests.
When we arrived at the restaurant we were given special price fixe New Years Eve dinner menus. We were never offered the regular menu. Later, when we saw other food coming out of the kitchen, we asked. That is when the manager told us that we could have had the regular menu. When i told him we were never offered the choice, he told me that it was my responsibility to ask. We are tourists who have never been to this restaurant before, and I’m not sure we would have known to ask. He was rather rude about it. The food we got was good, but so little of it that after 5 courses and $140 each (just for food) we left hungry.
There are other exceptional restaurants on this island. I would skip Blue Cilantro.
Did not have our reservation. Problem with Open table. Worked with us to make it work. Owner very helpful!!! Call to make reservations.
Incredible food and service
Wonderful food, good portions, and highly accommodating staff. Must try the banana ice cream. Mischko is a great waiter; very fun to be around.
Third time here. Management and staff accommodated me and my wife to celebrate our anniversary. Service is top notch and the food is amazing. Brunch is the best on island.
Wonder dining experience. We visit here every time we are in Grand Cayman
Just overall disappointing for what we expected. Food average for price. Husband had a steak that he ordered medium rare and it was more like medium well. We waited over a half hour for a check even though it was not busy. Also had reserved outdoor seating but we were placed inside which was overall a nice ambiance. Server was very pleasant.
Fabulous dining experience
We went for lunch and the food and service were both excellent. We were greeted by the host who could not have been more gracious. Great attitude and personality. The staff is very attentive and the space itself has a modern & upscale feel. The conch is excellent and much better than the farm raised conch we are forced to eat in the states. My wife said the tuna tartare was the best she's ever had. Coolest thing was when we asked for more wonton chips for the tuna, they made more fresh for us. Crab cake, seafood curry, snapper were all delicious. Highly recommend this spot for an upscale lunch or date night dinner. They make awesome drinks as well. Worth the money spent which we felt was reasonable for the quality and atmosphere.
Really interesting and tasting food - classy service
Great service and super great food.
Well deserved excellent reputation! Thoroughly enjoyed the 6 course tasting menu.
What a delightful surprise to find Caribbean/Indian fusion on Cayman! Truly one of the finest meals I have had ANYWHERE! The service is attentive and intuitive, which is also a treasure!
Interesting blend of cuisines. Food was great.Server very friendly and helpful with making selections.
Shrimp the size of lobster tails! We went on a night when there were no cruise ships in port and it was very quiet, nice ambiance for an anniversary dinner.
Blue Cilantro may be the best restaurant anywhere. It has been our favourite in Grand Cayman for many years, we never miss having a meal when visiting the island. It is consistently the most expensive meal there but by far worth every penny. Every item is bursting with flavour and prepared perfectly as delivered with outstanding service. In fact it feels very much like they strive for perfection in every item. Even the coffee is exceptional. Don’t miss the homemade banana caramel ice cream, it’s worth a visit on its own. My only comment to the restaurant would be: please don’t change a thing.. ever.
My boyfriend chose Blue Cilantro for our elegant dinner while we were on vacation in the Caymans. We decided to have one incredible meal at one of the may wonderful upscale dining options, and it did not disappoint! We had our first ever multi-course meal, which was quite delicious and wonderfully presented. The courses consisted of wahoo ceviche with jalapeño gelato and pomegranate arils, jumbo shrimp, blackened snapper over truffle risotto, and molten chocolate cake with banana ice cream. All delicious! It was my first ceviche and I enjoyed it very much, soft and silky. The blackened snapper was delicate and the spices were perfectly balanced, the risotto was creamy and savory, and the cake was incredible. He also told me the mixed drinks were very good. Our waiter very kindly offered to make a drink he requested that was not on the menu but was featured an article he had read about the restaurant, and my boyfriend was delighted with it. The restaurant itself had a lovely atmosphere and we admired the decor very much. (We got engaged right after dinner, so this meal became extra special! I had no idea he was planning that.) I think it very possible we will return on our next visit to enjoy again. Our chef even visited the table and we thanked him for such a memorable meal. Please visit it yourself- it's magical.
Blue Cilantro is a frustrating restaurant that promises much. There is definitely Talent here, the problem is its not consistent. 1/3 of the dishes we ordered where very good, however the other 1/3 rd where simply ok, and the remainder where very poor with over 2 dishes being sent back to the kitchen.
Sadly while the Food shows sparks of greatness, albiet mixed with stumbles, the service is truly awful. Repeated drinks orders without delivery, waiters leaning across diners, when one of the dishes was sent back not even a request to ask what was wrong or if we would like it changed? Just an absolute lack of concern and training.
So bottom line should you go to this restaurant? There is real ability here and on a good day they are one of the best restaurants in Cayman, however you need to be lucky to have everything go right. If they did some proper training of the front of house staff, and the kitchen was having a good day, yes it can be a very good restaurant, if not......
