   We are regulars at the Blue Cat...great steaks, good wine list. This trip we sat outside on the terrace overlooking the square. Lots of action out there, same great steaks.

   Underwhelming and overpriced. Server was friendly but busy. All dishes came with same sides (garlic mashed potatoes, two spears of broccoli, a few slices of carrot). Steaks were good but not sure they were worth the price. Friendly but persistent tarot card reader, who appeared to be affiliated with the restaurant, was set up behind our table and eavesdropped and interrupted our conversation multiple times.

   An off the beaten path special place. It is small and upscale with very good food and great service. We have been wanting to try this place for some time and are so glad we did, we will be back again soon. Highly recommended!

   Disappointing. We showed up an hour early, and even though there were very few other customers we were not able to be seated; when we did get seated the wait staff didn’t pay much attention to us. The menu was unimaginative, the steaks were good cuts and well prepared. The sides were not creative. The only option for red wine by the glass was Cabernet Sauvignon (it’s got Wine Bar in it’s name?). The entire evening was disappointing.

   We enjoyed the experience, and the food was great. It felt rather crowded with about 2 feet between tables, but happily our neighbours on both sides were very pleasant and interesting to talk with. We were somewhat upset that you had a Tarot person sitting among clients. What was the purpose of this? I am sure she was there to make money in a restaurant that has nothing to do with this activity, and that some people may even find offensive. I can imagine many activities that some might like to perform in a restaurant, but that might not be appropriate. Jim Reynolds

   Had a quiet evening here. Great little restaurant. Will go back. Price is a little high and portions are small but overall it was very good and our waitress was wonderful. Nice place to go for a quiet evening and good food.

    We had a wonderful special dinner. The service was warm and friendly. The filet, salmon, and beer were outstanding. The music was fun and vintage. I had a custom mocktail that was delicious. We cannot wait to return.

    We made our reservations based on the menu the restaurant posted on their website. On arriving at the restaurant, the menu prices were completely different (all higher), as were the food choices. Not only that, the menu description of the ravioli dish we were told was not actually what was available that night, and its substitute was unimpressive at best. My partner ordered the shrimp and caesar salad as a main dish, which was also unimpressive. Overall, a pretty disappointing experience.

    The food was great! We had Shrimp Cocktail & Cheese plate, Salmon with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus and flourless chocolate cake and cherry pie both with vanilla ice cream. The Salmon was cooked perfectly and had a nice lemon/butter sauce. The Service was spectacular- Maria is the best - she is professional but chill. The ambience is nice, quaint, romantic. Would highly recommend for an evening out or special occasion.

    Excellent service. Food was terrific. My wife and I ordered the cheese plate with a bottle of wine for starters. Excellent tender filet mignon and a New York strip both perfectly cooked with potatoes from Idaho to die for. No room left for desert but perhaps next time. Thanks Blue Cat for a 5 star experience with a short notice reservation for two.

    It was our first time and it was excellent. The food selection was not large but a nice variety was offered; the same for the wine. Our server (Maria) was exceptional. We will definately put this at the top of our list for our next trip to Burlington. The only negative was that the background music was a little loud, but Maria took care of that.     We stumbled in Blue Cat in 2021 on a visit to VT and we could not wait to revisit this place again in 2022. The food is amazing and Maria is so kind and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an excellent dining experience.

    The ambiance was cozy and nice and the waitress was pleasant although she seemed to be the only person taking orders and serving food for the whole restaurant. She brought our wine to our table and said she would be right back to open it and then forgot about us so it sat on the bar for about 20 minutes. The quality of the food was not great. The foie gras was undercooked and full of veins (clearly they don’t know how to devein it and mostly inedible. I had asked if the duck was crispy and the waitress swore it was but it has a thick layer of fat and was not at all crispy. The steaks were also fatty. Overall the service was lacking and the food was below average but pricey. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

    Eat someplace else. Waitperson was snippy to customers & other staff which created a terrible ambiance. They didn’t get our orders right for half the table. Menu is lazy and lacks any creativity. Steak & Duck were basic and served with cold mashed potatoes & broccoli. Dessert selection is 2 items. With all the great choices in Burlington, spend your time and money someplace else.

    Très déçu, nous sommes reçus en se faisant dire qu'ils n'auront pas le temps de nous servir rapidement. Nourriture OK, trop chère pour la qualité. Les tables ne sont pas desservis lorsque les gens quittent. Bel endroit par contre, pourrait être une place très trendy avec le décor actuel.
