Blue Canyon Kitchen & Tavern - Twinsburg Ratings and Reviews
Shouldn't have catty girls as hostesses.. Requested a table by the window when I made reservation week prior When we got there they sat us at an awful table. . We asked about it when we were sat at our table and the catty girls left us standing in the middle of the dining room and said it was already reserved. Not professional at all. Our server moved us to the table I requested and said it was not reserved. Why be so difficult? I didn't appreciate them rolling eyes at each other. Been there twice in a month and have spent quite a bit of money. Disappointed last night for our celebration.
Our party of two was seated in between two other parties if two in the middle of the dining room. These three tables were unreasonably close to each other, as in, there was no way to not hear the conversations at the other tables. Regardless, this was our second meal here and they have both been exceptional in flavor and presentation. Highly recommended!
We sat outside by the waterfall which smelled like chlorine. My burger was the quality of fast food, which I don't eat, and my fries were cold. My husband's vegetables were also cold and the drinks were over- priced. After we ordered our dinner I overheard another waitress list the daily specials, our waitress never offered the specials to us.
This was only the 2nd time here; my date's 1st. When I reserved the table online, I had requested a table by the window for the good view and a bottle of wine, the restaurant met all the requests. Our appetizer and meals were fantastic and so was the service. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
Very good food, service was slow, forgetful waitress. Portions are large. Good ambiance. Ordered half order of chips, seemed like we had the bottom of the bag, many tiny pieces. My fries came the same way, not many long fries, all stumps and pieces. Great salads and burger. Ravioli was good too.
Our server Nicole was the best part of the evening. Food arrived lukewarm. My wife's salmon was flavorless, and her mashed potatoes were runny.
Haven't been to BC in a few years and last night reinforced why we hadn't
Not a good anniversary experience. We won't be back
I really like this place! But the service is sometimes hit or miss. Or server was a bit invasive, it was more about him than us. We ordered appetizers and specifically said that we would order our meal after we finished. When they were delivered to our table he immediately came over and asked what we wanted for our dinner? I reminded him that we would order after. It was apparent that he needed to take queues that we were not ready. Food was very good but the service is a gamble.
Dining experience is always a good one. Food is very good and so is the service. Their wine list is respectable as well. On this past visit I was disappointed about the restaurant being out of their wild game meat special by 6:30PM on a Tuesday evening...... other than that, hard to go wrong at this resto....good variety at reasonable prices!
I have been several time to Blue Canyon, but this visit was my first Mother day brunch. I absolutely loved the food selection, I felt there was enough food diversity for even the pickiest of eaters; LOVE the coffee! We will definatly be back for another brunch. Staff was impeccably attentive, the grounds were beautiful.
The food was superb. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary with a lovely dinner. I had the 20oz Delmontico this steak was so tasty and cooked just the way I wanted. We will be back again, and maybe I will try the Boar if it's still on special. Thanks again the chef is amazing. The only reason I took one star off was I waited for 7 minutes for a refill.
Wonderful meal, enjoyed appetizer of flatbread with chorizo, maple bacon, and chopped apples. Our dinner was served in a timely fashion without rushing between courses. Of course, we had a dessert to share. Well worth the drive to this restaurant. Our view was overlooking the valley, seated at a window table.
Mike was our server and he was very nice. He had many tables to cover so there wasn't a lot of conversation. My tenderloin was overcooked and dry. He offered to bring me another but my husband was finished eating. He offered a bowl of soup too but I declined. We had a delicious warm crab appetizer so I ate that instead.
We had a fun time and were placed right by the fireplace, which was an excellent place to minimize restaurant noise. The meal was excellent, though I thought a but heavy handed with the sauce. Our waiter comped our soft drinks which was a pleasant surprise. I look forward to my next visit to this restaurant.
I thought the waiter did fine, but three out of the four of us had steak - all of them were severely overcooked. Two were ordered as Medium, one as Medium Rare - the mediums came out as Well done, and the medium rare was medium well to well. The other thing is, I'm not sure the two filets ordered were even filets. They did not look like 95% of the filets I've had in my life. All the sides tasted like home cooked sides, just bland and boring. Definitely not worthy of the $120 price point (with drinks).
Mike a mess our server in the bar - very friendly and attentive. The meals, steaks and salmon were very good. We all had the restaurant week special that was reasonable. Cons - the kitchen was slow, but it was a busy night. And the noise level can be difficult at times.
Great place! All the food I've had is terrific and the service is extraordinary! The trout is my favorite by far. They participate in Restaurant Week but don't make it a secret or treat you differently from ordering from that menu. The prices aren't cheap but the food is very much worth the cost, even if you only go for special occasions.
The atmosphere is quite pleasant too. Cozy and warm like a lodge and the restaurant is HUGE! Lots of tables so you don't have to wait too long. I heard they also have a good happy hour, though I didn't take advantage of that.
My only complaint is that the last time I went there was a loud group of women that were really being excessive. I think some body should have asked them to move into the bar area if they were going to be that loud, but they didn't so it kind of ruined the mood of the dinner my boyfriend and I were enjoying.
