The American cuisine offered at The Blue Canyon Kitchen & Tavern includes specialty dinner items like day boat scallops with Yukon Gold potatoes, smoked airline chicken breast and sausage with roasted potatoes and Brussels sprouts or grilled wild boar tenderloin with citrus chipotle honey glaze. Everything was great and appreciated the staff assistance to making my Sister special.
The restaurant week menu was very diverse and the items we ordered were very tasty. We had lobster bisque, caesar salad, salmon, trout and sirloin steak from the $33 menu. We also tried all three desserts (between all four of us). We would definitely come back again. We sat by the fireplace, which was very nice, but would have preferred the window seats.
Seems a bit too pricey for a brunch but overall good experience.

7 PM on a chilly Feb Monday... quiet and cozy
I met several friends for the Sunday Brunch which was excellent. I was very impressed with the variety of food that was offered, quality and creative dishes. The price for the amount of food
that you could sample was very reasonable. I would definitely return to the restaurant again for
the brunch and lunch or dinner. I love the atmosphere at this restaurant, especially the unique
bar. You get the feeling of being in a very upscale lodge in Aspen or Vail.
We have been to blue canyon many times! On this particular time, food was coming out pretty slow. My husband and I never said a word as we were just enjoying the evening. One of the managers came out and said we apologize for the long wait - we will comp your meal. I was really impressed by their customer service. The service and food were excellent as always. Thank you, Blue Canyon for seeing an issue and doing your best to resolve it! We will definitely be back!
Birthday for a friend. I brought in dessert and server added berries and candle. Awesome! So cozy and rustic!
Short ribs on menu,but they didn't have any prepared.Diappointed.Pretzel crusted trout was good.

Enjoyable evening at Blue Canyon. It was festive and cozy on a COLD winter night. Menu is not huge, but there were sufficient choices, and a couple of specials that sounded appealing as well. We really appreciated small portion options for a couple of the entrees -- my husband had the trout and I had the salmon. They were reasonably priced and certainly ample for most diners.
Blue Canyon did not honor our reservation through Open Table as they said they now use a different reservation program. We still got a seat but on a busy night this would have been a major issue.
Great experience, again! Waitress was just wonderful . Attentive, not annoying and down to earth.
All was fine with an attentive waiter. We will return for another dinner.
Food is excellent, ambiance is great (slightly noisy at times), service can be busy and rushed, but overall quality and experience is very good.
Food as usual was well presented and tasted fabulous. Exceptional decor and friendly wait-staff.
This is the 3rd time that I have been to this restaurant and each time it gets better. Every aspect of this place is perfect.
Dinner with family. We had the clambake in the bar. Wonderful clams, sweet potato, clam chowder, and corn. The bar was warm and cozy. Nice!
Shouldn't have catty girls as hostesses.. Requested a table by the window when I made reservation week prior When we got there they sat us at an awful table. . We asked about it when we were sat at our table and the catty girls left us standing in the middle of the dining room and said it was already reserved. Not professional at all. Our server moved us to the table I requested and said it was not reserved. Why be so difficult? I didn't appreciate them rolling eyes at each other. Been there twice in a month and have spent quite a bit of money. Disappointed last night for our celebration.
Great atmosphere and great food.
Our party of two was seated in between two other parties if two in the middle of the dining room. These three tables were unreasonably close to each other, as in, there was no way to not hear the conversations at the other tables. Regardless, this was our second meal here and they have both been exceptional in flavor and presentation. Highly recommended!
We sat outside by the waterfall which smelled like chlorine. My burger was the quality of fast food, which I don't eat, and my fries were cold. My husband's vegetables were also cold and the drinks were over- priced. After we ordered our dinner I overheard another waitress list the daily specials, our waitress never offered the specials to us.
This was only the 2nd time here; my date's 1st. When I reserved the table online, I had requested a table by the window for the good view and a bottle of wine, the restaurant met all the requests. Our appetizer and meals were fantastic and so was the service. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.

Great food and pleasant atmosphere!
Very good food, service was slow, forgetful waitress. Portions are large. Good ambiance. Ordered half order of chips, seemed like we had the bottom of the bag, many tiny pieces. My fries came the same way, not many long fries, all stumps and pieces. Great salads and burger. Ravioli was good too.
Brunch with family. Loved the variety of offerings. Chicken, seafood,omelets to order and fresh fruit and baked goods. Oh, and a table by the window! Something for everyone.
Our server Nicole was the best part of the evening. Food arrived lukewarm. My wife's salmon was flavorless, and her mashed potatoes were runny.

I really like this place! But the service is sometimes hit or miss. Or server was a bit invasive, it was more about him than us. We ordered appetizers and specifically said that we would order our meal after we finished. When they were delivered to our table he immediately came over and asked what we wanted for our dinner? I reminded him that we would order after. It was apparent that he needed to take queues that we were not ready. Food was very good but the service is a gamble.
