   We arrived and were seated promptly. Well...we weren't actually seated, it was more like a "You're here for lunch? Great! Have a seat." Waiter/Host comes over, never introduces himself or welcomes us to the restaurant but proceeds to taking a drink order. I ask kindly for a cocktail list, there are none. Okay, "I'd like to order two Virgin coladas, one for me and one for my date." He takes the order and proceeds to the bar. Two minutes later he comes back and goes "Ladies...I forgot to tell you, no pineapple came in today". "What other drink might you like to have? " At this point, I'm already annoyed and order a strawberry daiquri for myself and my date orders a lime squash. This daquiri costs me $16! and came separated...I kid you not. I'll add a picture for whoever's reading this. Let's move onto the Menu. You CANNOT order a side unless you purchase a main. Also, it's not vegetarian friendly at all, except for a veg pizza and two salads. We ended up ordering a veg pizza and a chicken breast sandwich. We ordered at 2:23 and got our food 30 mins later. This is pretty good considering that's the time it takes to prepare a pizza. The pizza was pretty good. The sandwich? I had to remove, on two occasions, two pieces of uncooked chicken from my mouth. I became upset and stopped eating. All in all, the presentation of the food was good. Meanwhile...not once does the waiter/ hostess return to the table. I really thought that this restaurant would be different considering it's location. However, I was quite shocked at our experience. Oops I forgot: While we're waiting on our food, another employee arrives for work. She rests her bag on one of the restaurant tables, takes out a comb and commences to comb through her hair. I have no words for this. Disclaimer: I'm not usually a picky person and this is my first review ever. Blue Bench Bar and Restaurant was a disappointment. I would not encourage anyone to visit.

   We noticed this restaurant on Open Table, and as we are staying in a condo at Rockley Golf and Country Club, decided to book it for our first evening in Barbados. This restaurant has new owners, and they have done a nice job decorating. We each had the catch of the day which was lightly breaded and pan fried. One entree had rice and a variety of vegetables, the other entree had french fries and salad. This is a nice restaurant, situated right on the 9th fairway. Although there is no ocean view, it is a good restaurant to try. They also have evening entertainment during the week.
