Blue Bell Inn Ratings and Reviews
Food and drinks are great at Blue Bell Inn, plus the history adds a lot of charm. The service also is top-notch. During our most recent dinner at Blue Bell Inn, one of the appetizers arrived with a sauce that included some almost hidden pork bits even though that wasn't listed on the menu description. We don't eat pork, so we quickly notified the server. Both the server and the restaurant's host for the evening handled the situation very well. I wouldn't have expected anything less at Blue Bell Inn, but it's worth noting because other restaurants don't maintain that level of service any longer.
We were here on a Saturday when the Eagles playoff game was being shown at the bar. Even though the crowd was somewhat boisterous, we had no problem finding a quiet spot to have a drink. After enjoying a cocktail, we were seated in a very quiet back room with one other couple and a party of three that arrived after we did. Our server was very professional and friendly. I ordered the petite seafood plateau, which was amazing! It was so much for one person, that I only ate half and had the rest for dinner at home the following night. My husband ordered the duck and really enjoyed it. His portion was also large, and he brought home leftovers as well. We split the beignets for dessert. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal here. The ambience was nice. Where we were seated was quiet, but some of the other rooms were a little more lively. I believe they asked our preference before seating us. Valet parking is available at the door. We will definitely return.
Our food was great and our service was just mediocre. There was a band playing in the corner, but it was way too loud. It was especially difficult to hold a conversation and to place an order. You literally just had to point to the menu. We asked for our dessert to go, but the waiter only came back with the check. We reminded him twice we were waiting on the desert before we updated the host, who came back promptly with our items.
Another great dinner celebrating my wife’s birthday! We sat in a very quiet room in the back, and had an excellent server named Jaime. Also the wine server named Cory was very nice too! We both had excellent ribeye steaks cooked perfectly as ordered, and shared a Kale Chopped salad to start. Can’t wait to go back 😊!
the man at the front desk was beyond rude,,,I had to send my burger back 2x leaving the other 5 people in my group to finish eating way before I even started eating... and there were only about 12 people in the entire dining room yet the waiter was too busy somewhere to come out to refill drinks
Great food- from seafood to pastas and filets. Service is 5-star and it’s a good value for the $ spent. The beautiful dining rooms are enjoyable and relaxing. The fire pit is in a perfect location, and even lit up during the winter. Really appreciate the wine by the glass program.
I've never had a bad experience at the Blue Bell. This time I ordered the mustard glazed salmon which was excellent. One of my companions found the Halibut special lacking sauce and another found her mashed potatoes rather dry. Overall, it was good dining, pleasant atmosphere.
We've dined here often. Sometimes we get together with friends, other times this was for a special occasion. All our meals have been delicious and I've sampled almost the entire menu. I also enjoyed just drinks and appetizers at the bar. VERY fresh seafood, meats cooked exactly as you like, nice size portions, and a beautiful setting inside and outside. In the summer, the patio and fireplace is definitely a place to be seen. Overall great, 12 months of the year! We will definitely be back!
Had a delicious family holiday dinner. I had the Muscovy Duck Breast and it was absolutely delicious! Also the Diver Scallops are a wonderful choice. Don't get the Caesar salad. It was creamy dressing (not authentic), and we didn't get the leafy green part of the romaine lettuce! It was primarily the white portion that I throw away at home.
Expect a great meal, lively crowd and exceptional customer service! Our server, Stephanie, was as busy as can be. However, you couldn’t tell because of the kind and focused service she provided us. It was like we were the only table in the restaurant...a clear sign that she and the restaurant know how to treat their patrons! I have zero reservations recommending Blue Bell Inn to anyone!!
Nice inn with great bar areas. Free valet parking is nice. Food was pretty good, but at those prices should be great. I had lobster risotto which was too salty with not enough other flavor. My wife had the black bass special. Bass was very good, but accompanying bay scallops were chewy and lobster ravioli was tasty but cold. We love the atmosphere and the pretty bar but the food might not be enough to keep us going.
This was my first time coming to this restaurant. I chose this restaurant to surprise my best friend for a birthday dinner. We also came all the way from Maryland to come to this restaurant and to attend a Will Downing and Avery Sunshine concert that was in the area as well. The outside of the restaurant was beautiful. However, we didn’t get a chance to really see the inside of this restaurant because they sat us in the noisy bar area instead of giving us seating in the main part of the restaurant, which was a bummer. Blue Bell Inn Food was great! However, the bread they served was extremely cold. I would recommend that this restaurant serve warm bread as the bread would be awesome served warm. Our waiter was Shawn, he was extremely slow and not attentive what so ever. I think that he had too many tables to serve. He never came and check in with us, but instead we always had to call him over to our table to request things. Overall, it was a nice experience and I would come back as long as I didn’t have the same waiter. Inspite of his serves, we were fair and gave him the standard tip eventhough my friends wanted to give less.
