Blue Bell Inn
In 2013, Blue Bell Inn underwent extensive renovations for over a year. Various historical aspects were enhanced through thoughtful restoration and new materials such as solid white oak and porcelain tile floors were introduced to create a stunning architectural mélange spanning three centuries.

The food, service and ambience were all excellent. We sat outside on a beautiful night. Two of us got the salad with seafood and we were amazed at how much shrimp and crab were on it. Our waiter Brandon was awesome. We were celebrating a special birthday for my friend and they made it a point from the time we got there to acknowledge the birthday girl. Definitely a place to go.
It was a very nice restaurant although the food was just OK.
I realize there's a staffing shortage in the restaurant industry, thius, I pack my patience. However, our waiter was hurried and rushed - long spans of no contact. I love and highly recommend Blue Bell Inn and honestly this was the first time in many years that I've ever had an issue.
The crab cake entre was the size of an apetizer for $18! It came with two small pieces of potato an six green beans.
The waitress insisted it was not the apetizer. Lesson learned…
It was amazing. We really enjoyed ourselves. The food was great, the waiter was amazing, personable and charismatic. He was able to recommend things easily and knew the menu.
We celebrated my friend birthday yesterday and the food, wine and our waiter Jorge was awesome
Steak came out completely raw - they refired it and then it was well done. Sides were really basic as well - just green beans and mashed potatoes. Brussels were underseasoned and flavorless, calamari was over cooked. For the price points they charge, the execution of the food was very poor. Pretty disappointed considering this was our anniversary dinner.
Overall really good dining experience for our anniversary, even though sat outside, had loud table of people sitting just inside the window. Had the oysters, a little small, server was really pleasant and did not rush us. Food was really good and well prepared. Need to look carefully at the wine list, some of the markups were excessive with moderate ratings.Flank steak was excellant
Amazing food and service.
Nice outdoor patio dining. Excellent waiter. The menu is pricey and not particularly interesting.
Ambiance was very pleasant. Food and service were excellent.
Absolutely love this place. It never disappoints and is so consistent! We’ll definitely be back A LOT
Wonderful location to meet up with friends. Kyle, our server was top notch.
We LOVE the BBI and this is the first time that we were disappointed. First, they didn't have the usual complimentary valet parking - not the end of the world, but the first time I've ever seen them not have valet parking.
Our server was inexperienced and clearly training someone new. Neither knew how to properly pour a glass of wine without touching the bottle to the wine glass.
There was no special entree.
I ordered the ahi tuna for dinner , same meal I ordered back in June on the same Monday BYO night. Back in June, one whole side of the tuna was full of avocado smash and the other side of the fish lined with pineapple salsa.
This time quarter size dollop of each.
I don't know if people don't want to come to work and/or they're having a hard time sourcing ingredients, but it was not the BBI experience that we're accustomed to.
Delicious meal. Great atmosphere. Noise level is very loud
Lovely lunch in a beautiful garden courtyard. Food was just what we wanted.
Lovely experience! Excellent food, service& ambiance!
We celebrated an anniversary and we were delighted with our overall experience. Our server, Megan was attentive and personable; the menu selection was appropriately balanced and every one of our party of 5 enjoyed their respective entree. Megan then brought out a special dessert for the anniversary couple. We will definitely be back as they were welcoming, accommodating to handicapped people and they certainly aimed to please.
The food, atmosphere, service was amazing. We will be back soon.
We choose the ‘quiet section’ - upstairs instead of near the bar. We also went early. Had the room to ourselves most of dinner. Everything was delicious and our server was great. Definitely going back.
Lovely lunch with friends sitting outside. Quiet enough so we could talk and catch up. There is always something on the menu that appeals and food is consistently very good.
We had a great time and I loved that the staff wished my hubby a happy birthday! The cheesesteak dumplings, calamari, wagyu beef and filet were all amazing!
Great food always, staff is friendly
Love coming to see Clay McElwee play at Blue Bell Inn! - Sam is my fave waitress too!
Quality food with an abundance of menu selections - Service provided with great personalism and competence.
We love oysters and had them both raw and fried as appetizers. It was wife’s birthday and she had her favorite lobster roll while I had more oysters. All seafood was fresh and delicious. Our server was friendly and efficient on a very busy lunch for the restaurant. This is one of our favorite restaurants and will definitely return.
Rosh Hashanah family dinner
Really loved the outdoor area and the food & service was outstanding! 😊🥂
Another fabulous dinner in one of my favorite restaurants. Nancy, our server could not have been any more attentive and accommodating throughout the entire dinner. It was the first time our dinner guests had ever been to the Blue Bell Inn and they were all absolutely blown away !
Excellent dining experience as always. World class service too.
We hit a super busy Tuesday night, which was unusual. I think that affected the noise level and service. Service speed was fine and our waitress was outstanding. Everyone loved their meals.
Loved the space open to the air. Charming building.
Another great meal and excellent service by our server Kyle. Always a wonderful experience!
Good: nice refit of an historic place; plenty of seating for large and small groups plus two outdoor seating/service areas; most in our party enjoyed their brunch selections; and, courtesy valet was perfect with an 85-year-old in tow;
Not so good: should've spoken up right away for a differently located table; brand new server spilled first drink, a sticky mimosa, onto table and splash, then got two orders incorrect; and, training server could've seen to some sort of comp in the bill for those goofs on this birthday outing :( We'll try it again for brunch or other meals.
Blue Bell Inn never disappoints. The service and food are always top notch.
Very nice place with really good food! Prices are good too!
I met three women friends for an early lunch. I was very happy to be seated in the more formal room and no one else was in there at 11:30 am. (I am dismayed when seated right next to people when there are other tables farther apart.) The service was good, the food was delicious and we were not rushed. Highly recommend.
