Blue Bell Inn
In 2013, Blue Bell Inn underwent extensive renovations for over a year. Various historical aspects were enhanced through thoughtful restoration and new materials such as solid white oak and porcelain tile floors were introduced to create a stunning architectural mélange spanning three centuries.

Fantastic Restuarant! Great menu choice, awesome service!
When the weather is good there's no place like the back patio! I always feel like I'm on vacation. Food and service never disappoint, and the peanut butter pie is a must!!
We had a great time- Food, service excellent!
Our sever, Brendan was great -
We went there for our anniversary and was so surprised we ordered a dessert to share, they brought it out on a plate with a candle and Happy Anniversary written on the plate so sweet. We love it there
Beautiful atmosphere and the food was delightful. Will be back again :-)
First time I’ve been and the Blue Bell Inn exceeded all my expectations.
I was there for lunch. All rooms busy. Clientele older- the “ladies who lunch group” but the atmosphere was not stodgy.
Menu with something for everyone. Service wonderful.
Although there were only two or three other tables outside that were occupied, the service was very slow. The waitress did not come over for 20 min and it took another25 min to get our appetizers. I had the blintzes which tasted "off". There was two of them with too much filling in each. Last time I was there there were three and they were delicious. It was very disappointing all around.
Great food and service. We had outside seating on the patio and it was wonderful. We went for brunch and the beignets which we shared were delicious along with everything else.
Looking forward to going back and visit for a dinner
Wonderful evening as always! Delicious food, fantastic cocktails, and top-notch service. Many dining options available, but we chose the traditional dining room and had a lovely dinner. Will definitely return. Thank you!
Today at the Blue Bell Inn was definitely the worst meal I have had in a restaurant in awhile. I ordered the Grilled Shrimp Orecchiette and Feta Salad, Arugula Pesto. Shrimp was substantially over seasoned both with salt and a dried rub. The pasta, I'm sure, was out of a box of an average grocery store brand. The dish was swimmingly over dressed with the pesto which I did bot expect because it was called a "salad". Shocking. I did not mention anything during the meal as I was with friends I don't see often. We had a nice time despite the dish and the server was pleasant. Oh, and did I mention that the table was sticky? We had to exchange four pieces of messy looking flatware for clean ones. There were food particles on the base of my Aperol Spritz glass. They were dried on there so I just removed them with my napkin. Something seems amiss here.
Everything was fine, as expected.
One of my favorite lunch places: good food, service.
Birthday lunch- great food and service
Best place to celebrate a special event.
Sat outdoors in a beautiful garden
Went to the Blue Bell Inn for our first wedding anniversary. The service team was very nice. We had a little bit of a hiccup. My wife and I ordered steaks and it took nearly an hour for our food to come out. We noticed guests around us, that arrived well after us, get their entrees before us. Our server stopped by intermittently to apologize and say the food was coming. She even brought us a complimentary round of drinks while we waited. Sadly, when the steaks came they were both over cooked. Mine was meant to be med-rare and came out more med-well, but I kept it because I was hungry. My wife’s was meant to be med and was way overdone, so we needed to send it back. Only took about 10 mins for a new steak - which makes me question what happened before.
But the food was good and the ambiance was really nice. Food and drinks are pricey but OK for a special occasion. The team wrote happy anniversary in chocolate on our dessert and comp’d it for us.
Although the entree incidents weren’t the best, the service team did everything they could to make it up to us. We appreciated that and enjoyed the night out. We’ll go back again.
Blue Bell never disappoints. The food was delicious as usual. I have never had a bad meal at Blue Bell Inn.
I had high expectations for the Blue Bell Inn but unfortunately they were not met. I think for those prices the service should be exceptional. Our dinner was at 5:30 and we were there until almost 8:00 pm. That seemed very long especially when we didn't even get an appetizer we ordered. We did not get bread until we asked for it - it was about 20 min after we sat down. We ordered an appetizer and we waited so long for it, I asked to cancel and the waiter just said, "my fault, I didn't put it in, your food is coming out now..."???? He didn't really care that he forgot. He also charged us for 3 drinks that we didn't order... Good thing I checked the bill. It was very slow and just not enjoyable. Everyone loved their food so that definitely made up for it. I would not choose to go here for a special occasion, maybe for a burger but not for a nice night out.
We had a wonderful brunch! I made a mistake and booked the wrong date but they were able to accommodate use. The service and good we're excellent. We'll be back.
Blue Bell Inn is one of those historic dining locations that never fails. We go for special occasions and always talk about how we can't wait to go back. We celebrated my birthday and not only did they do a great job in fulfilling my seating request but the service and food for fantastic. Thank for making my birthday special.
Wonderful… although it was a bit loud inside..
Delicious brunch, great service and complimentary valet parking. Great value!
Live music was fun - food was excellent. Will be going back.
I always have an awesome experience when I come to the Blue Bell Inn. It’s one of my most favorite places to eat and I only live 5 minutes away.
Great service, food arrived quickly. However the filet mignon was under seasoned. .
Went there for dinner. I had salmon which was excellent. The service was superb.
We love the blue bell inn. We have been going there for years.
We sat in the dining room with four people and the noise level was fairly high but conversation capable. The food was EXCELLENT from salads to meat and fish and sides to desserts. Wine by the glass was good as well. The Blue Bell Inn is definitely a place to come back to for another meal.
Server very caring but are new& need some more experience. We commend them for working!!
So disappointing. Started with our greeting at front door. 4 employees standing around front desk in deep discussion, completely ignoring us. They then offered use a table in either the bar or on a terrace, not in main dining room. The best thing I can say about the table selection is that they were not near the rest-rooms. Wait staff friendly, but inattentive. Neither my wife or I ordered anything alcoholic. Tables that did, however, had the waitress hovering around them all evening. We didn't, and therefore waitress was seen on the floor, but not at our table. As a result I can only describe service as "slow." For example when we were ready to leave she took our card to run up the bill, but stopped on the way for 15 minutes to take the order from a table for 8, kibbutz with them, and then enter the order into the computer before running our card. The most disappointing thing, however, was that almost everything on the menu was "enhanced" with sriracha, Chile, hot pepper flakes, or wasabi. It's as if the Chef was trying to hide his efforts behind a wall of heat. I know heat is currently in vogue, but not to the exclusion of other choices. We came for dinner, not to have our tonsils cauterized. It's a bad experience when the highlight of the evening was the politeness and efficiency of the car valet. The shame is that we live close to the Inn, but I don't think it will be a place that we frequent often.
One of the few restaurants in the western Philly suburbs where you can get both east and west coast oysters. The food is always well prepared and selections are varied enough that everyone should find it a challenge to select just one from each course. The main dining room is comfortable and attractive. Prices are fair. On this occasion our server, someone we hadn’t seen before, was lacking in attentiveness and polish, however, we still had an enjoyable experience.
Has become a "Go To" place for us. Always good, always excellent service.
great neighborhood restaurant. Very professional staff.
Our server, Kyle, was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, experienced, and accommodating. The kitchen made our fish dishes exactly as requested and prepared a delicious peach bread pudding for dessert.
Our hostess as well as our waitress were less than interested to seat us and take our order. The food was just okay... we have had better from your business many times. The bar area should not have kids allowed in the area... my husband and I were out for our anniversary and heard nothing but screaming kids.... seems to be a big difference between Saturday dinner atmosphere vs Sunday.. we will be sure not to schedule Sundays going forward
Had a very nice brunch. Everyone in our party really enjoyed their food. Their outdoor patio was a great seating location.
Fabulous brunch! Great service from Brandon!
Although I had a great lunch there recently, my brunch experience was absolutely terrible. We sat down to lint- and lipstick-covered glasses. The person who poured our waters spilled it everywhere including on the table and on me. Service was abysmal. Our luke warm food took more than an hour to come. We received the bill immediately after eating but the waiter never bothered coming back. I became fed up after 20 min and had to take it inside myself to pay. I had heard so many positive things about BBI's brunch, but sadly did not have that experience.
Mediocre food, decent service. The menu looked great but the execution fell short in every dish. Dried out pastries, overpriced filet, overcooked eggs. A lot of potential but for the price the food was not worth it and all underwhelming.
Love it. The only brunch I go to
