Best breakfast/brunch in Racine. A bit pricey but so worth it. Fresh ingredients and everything cooked properly. Even the coffee is delicious. I believe they grow some of the veggies and herbs on site (Summer). Their signature dish (in my opinion) is their eggs benedict. Both the Blue Bear benedict and the salmon benedict are superb!

Sunday brunch with an outdoor table, lovely atmosphere. Our wait person was attentive, answered questions about gluten-free choices. The tofu scramble and the chevre omelet were perfect. Blue Bear is my favorite local restaurant to bring out of town guests.

We have a 9am reservation and were seated on the north wall, one table away from the back. When another party came in they seated them right behind us (farthest table to the west). It was very tight and I did not have room to move. I am not sure why they sat them so close when the rest of the place was empty.

Everything was great. My only complaint is I ordered a Benedict and there was hardly any sauce on it. I asked for a little cup to add to it which they did. Then charged for $3.50 for it. Still give it 5 stars, just a little odd.

This was my second time dining here this summer and while the food is good, the service is lackluster to bad. I won’t go into it to much but do not plan on returning, due to service from both experiences.

I absolutely love Blue Bear! Whenever my daughter comes to town, this is where we go. We're both into eating healthy and delicious and there aren't many restaurants where you can find both these days. Can't wait to go back!

Hard to find pet friendly restaurant with a good menu. Blue Bear delivers! Had the best blueberry pancakes. Very good chicken breakfast sausage. Waitstaff was top notch and prompt. HIGHLY recommended

We ordered 8 dishes, and only the deviled eggs with smoked salmon was as delicious as the menu used to be 2 years ago. We had unexceptional hummus with pita so hard you could crack your teeth on it. The cauliflower and asparagus dishes were too salty and overpriced. the pork belly was undercooked and unappetizing--at least the server let us return it. Three of us ordered the blueberry gin tonics and they tasted like dirty water. Not going back.

Cafe Latte- Espresso and steamed milk. It was served as coffee with milk added rather. I was able to provide feedback and it was taken care of immediately. They could work on their coffee presentation. I think the glass cups that they used to have were better and looked lovely. *just a preference I guess

I really love blue bear! They offer delicious food with dietary needs in mind. I absolutely love this fish fry! And it's gluten free. We truly enjoyed the fish fry with the Cod and the double chocolate zucchini bread cake. So yummy!

Not the best experience for Mother’s Day brunch. Possibly overbooked and/or understaffed? We didn’t get seated until at least 30 minutes after our reservation time and did not get our food for at least 30 minutes after that. Silverware was sticky/dirty. Had to remind them twice we hadn’t gotten the drinks we ordered. We requested bacon added to one of our sandwiches and it was not put on but we were charged for it (they did correct the bill for us). Staff was very pleasant and it was obvious they were all working very hard but sadly we won’t return soon or recommend to anyone. I understand being busier than normal on a holiday but we have had reservations at other establishments that seemed much better prepared for a crowd on Mother’s Day in past years.

Overall, I would say 5 stars on a normal day. We went on Mothers Day, and it was very busy and the staff was overwhelmed. The waitresses did their best to accommodate everyone, but I would say that they could have used more help in the kitchen. It was an hour before we received our food, and it was already cold. Will try them again probably during the week when we can order from the entire menu, and they don’t have more customers than they can juggle.

We (party of two) dined with a late morning reservation for Mother's Day brunch. The floor manager/bartender shouted from behind the bar to arriving guests and barked orders at the wait staff, who were both serving and busing tables inside and outside. Our server took our order but it did not go through the electronic system. After several requests for our drinks, she returned with the news that she had to reenter the entire order. When we asked about the status of our meal, she went to the kitchen and returned with the news that they were putting the salad together. She then continued to work tables and was then ordered to go outside and clean up a table for another group. I waved and asked if she could instead go to the kitchen and check on our much delayed order. No, but the manager/bartender when back into the kitchen and brought out our two plates. Sadly, the once hot entree was now cold, having waiting for the salad to be assembled and then for the pickup. No usual amenities of service (how is your meal? more water? anything else?). BTW the entry to the kitchen is an accident waiting to happen - the door swings both in and out, toward the entry to the only wash room, with little room to spare. As I exited the wash room, the kitchen door swung open and a plate of pancakes with syrup crashed to the floor. I realize that this was a busy service time but they did not seem prepared to handle it.

It was the Mother's Day special menu. The items were creative and special without taking it too far. The problem was some of the execution was equal to the ideas. I think some of it was due to the kitchen not familiar with the dishes. The crepes were missing the ricotta filling. A benedict was not adequately seasoned. Some of the sauces were a bit on the bland side. But nevertheless, we will be back. Service was greate.

Sunday Brunch. Staff is wonderful: upbeat, helpful and cordial. Garbage Pail breakfast attained the coveted 4 Nom Nums from Michele, who was rendered speechless except for those four grunts. First time I can ever remember her completely cleaning her plate! My Blue Bear Breakfast was great as well. Our second visit and their excellence is consistent.

We dine at Blue Bear for brunch each time we visit our daughter who attends Carthage College. She looks forward to wonderful breakfast food and we appreciate the creative and delicious gluten free and vegan options. The food is amazing, great service and we simply love Blue Bear! Special Valentine weekend menu but it wasn’t communicated well on website that was your only choice ($60 per person) Lots of people weren’t that happy with it and the servers were constantly having to explain and apologize. Food was “ok”. It lacked seasoning…had to salt and pepper everything . Risotto was under cooked and lacked seasoning. Not many selections on wine. Got a bottle which was marked 34 on menu and the bill showed $50. After I asked to see the menu they looked at the bill themselves and figured out they charged me wrong. We got crème brûlée to go and they used little tart tins which is a good idea except maybe they should have give me 4 of them since each had only maybe a tablespoon Serving. Overall we will go back for the normal menu and give it another try. Holiday specials and restaurant week I feel the consumer doesn’t get a good experience and leaves with a lot lighter wallet

Had gluten free fish fry. Fish breading was overcooked (dark brown); flavor was bland. Cole slaw flavor was bland. Potato pancakes were good. Ordered 2 for 1 drinks during happy hour, but got charged for both; didn't notice until the next day. Called 3 times over 2 weeks and spoke to an employee to get this corrected, but it required a manager. Manager never called back.

I made a reservation for my grandmother’s 90th birthday to have brunch, food was great, energy in the restaurant was great, our waitress was fabulous and even comped a dessert bread for my grandmother! Very happy with our brunch experience:)
