Blue Bat Kitchen & Tequilaria

We made a reservation and then was told it would be an hour longer because outdoor seating is first come first serve... no where was this posted on open table or made clear even the first time I checked in when we got to the restaurant! They originally said they were setting up our table and 15 minutes later we were told it would be another hour. After 3 empty tables sat cleared and no one was standing waiting for a table we had to ask to take one. The service was just as awful. It took two hours, she forgot one of our appetizers so it came 30 minutes later, we only had one drink ordered the entire two hours. Very disappointed

Queso Fundido is phenomenal! Service was quick and place was clean.

This was our first dine-in experience since COVID and the folks at Blue Bat didn't disappoint. Everyone was very nice and accommodating and Scott, our principal server, was terrific. Super cheerful and funny and really made us feel at ease despite the masks and such. Food and margaritas were mighty tasty - I'd ordered from BB several times during isolation and appreciate the consistency in deliciousness provided both in-restaurant and for carryout. All in all we had a terrific time celebrating our first venture into a not-yet-normal world...

Food and service great. Restaurant has a great system to follow overly strict guidelines of Milwaukee county. We are happy to support our local restaurants!

Food was sort of cold which put a damper on our brunch! Service was a bit awkward but not maliciously so. Ordered the Korean bowl and the shakshukah. Not that we’d regret it but I don’t thi k we’d be back for those dishes.

We were there for National Margarita Day with specials.?The Roasted Brussels Sprouts appetizer is fantastic. I had the Baja Taco and Avocado Toast. Plenty of food-all tasty .

Great food and service. We really enjoyed everything we had, especially the happy hour deal — we tried the chips with salsa and guacamole. Our server even stopped by a few minutes before happy hour ended just to see if we wanted anything else. That was much appreciated!

When we first walked into the restaurant, the person at the hostess desk was on their phone. Didn’t even acknowledge we were there. We got the attention of someone at the bar and were seated, but then the person who ignored us became our waitress. It was awkward, we felt very unwelcome. It kinda set the tone for the entire meal.

Excellent food and excellent service as always. Made it for 4 dollar margaritas at happy hour that were spectacular and made me wish I could stay longer.

Came in with a reservation, unfortunately the server wasn't ready to take another table so a bit of a wait but the wait for food was even longer (roughly an hour for one taco plate and a mushroom bowl). On the bright side, the Palomas were delicious.

The food was good, but took a long time to finally get to the table. Conversation was also difficult based on the noise levels.

Great atmosphere, modern and clean with interesting features. Really good service. Food was only okay. We started with 2 beverages... a Blue Bat Margarita and something else I can’t remember. The Marg was good, albeit small compared to what I’m used to in a Mexican restaurant. The other drink was not to my liking but I’m not a huge Tequila fan. We had the Sambusas appetizer which was quite bland. We also had a freebie of the Nachos appetizer (apparently they made one by mistake). Those were quite tasty but the chips were really greasy. We then had 2 each of a variety of the hand-held tacos. Pretty good flavor but the flour tortillas were dry. Overall, I’d probably return and maybe try one of the Bowls instead next time. I’d also like to try their outdoor seating during a warm evening. The service was really terrific!

First time here, loved the food. Had the Pina Mezcal cocktail, queso fundido, salmon blt bao bun, FGT and barbacoa tacos plus shared a brownie with horchata ice cream. All delicious! Beautiful space and friendly knowledgeable staff.

We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation on NYE but were able to be seated right away. Our waiter, Max, provided excellent service, and when I asked about a flight of anejos, he asked the bartender for suggestion. Mike (said bartender) came over and asked my preferences to build an appropriate flight and then came back with the flight to explain the flavor profiles and then again to follow up on how they were. Excellent service! The food was also delicious. We had the mole albóndigas as well as a couple hand helds (barbacoa and the banh mi of the day).

Hostess pretty much spoiled the experience. We had a res and needed to wait. That’s not an issue if ur pleasant. She was not. Our waiter was good.
We Ubered in from Lake Country for $200.

We had a great time here. The margaritas were very good and reasonably priced. Two of us had jalapeño, one regular house and one with mezcal and we all enjoyed them. The food was tasty and plentiful. For four people, shared the brussel sprouts, had a total of five handhelds (tacos), a bowl and tuna tartare nachos. Perfect amount of food for us. Highly recommended.

Excellent service and food! Eclectic food choices - all were delicious. Fried brussel sprouts for the appetizer was delicious as was the street taco and baja fish taco for the entree. Bowls are available too for healthy options and the service was impeccable. Great drinks and ambiance - my second time here and I will return!
