Blue Agave Restaurante y Tequileria Ratings and Reviews
Service was outstanding! Not just our server, but manager and others servers came around to check on my wife and I. Chicken Mole enchiladas were awesome and my wife enjoyed her chicken tacos as well. Drinks and food were all reasonably priced. Will be back!
The food was okay for the price. The service was also okay, our waitress barely came to check on us. The place was too loud and very tight, you could barely move from your seats. The only thing good about the place was the drinks, which is still over priced.
Service was extremely slow we sat fke 29 minutes before our server came over and ended up walking to the bar for drinks and bringing them back to the table. She was very nice though and efficient though after that.
Queso was incredible. We added chorizo. Everything else was ok. Tanaka’s has way too much masa and not any filling. Loved the chips and the different salsas. The Paloma is my go to drink.
It was ok. I am gluten free and there were barely any options. Kind of a bummer. So loud and packed on a Sat. night that I could hear the table next to mine's entire conversation but couldn't hear my husband across from me. There was also an air vent above us that made us cold. Wa!
Had the family in town to visit east coast relatives and found Blue Agave through nearby recommendations from OpenTable. We were in the mood for anything other than regular bar food and had just come from a ravens game, so this was an easy choice with already excellent reviews. The drink list is great, we all tried some tequila, beers, and calamari. Wife got the Mango margarita which she loved. Menu is very diverse so highly recommended for foodies. Overall no complaints, the service was quick and helpful. Only wished my food had come hotter/fresher. Tacos al pastor usually come hot off the spit, but hard to imagine this was the case as the presentation was a little less than traditional. Nevertheless, would return and try something new. Everything else was a good experience.
The food and service were great. The noise level was very high, though. Lots of talk (great), music, and sports on tv. The combination had us yelling at each other just to be heard (and there were only 2 of us!). We'd eat there again in a heart beat, but be prepared for the noise.
went for dinner. door was wide open so the place was extra cold. the food was bland at best and the drinks were small for the price. waitress was nice and attentive until she got all of the other 4 tables on the restaurant side. we won't be back...there are so many other nicer places in baltimore to eat.
When we were originally seated, there was a large party of 20-somethings that were extremely loud right next to our table (not sure why we were seated there since there were at least 10 other tables that were open well away from this rowdy group, so after the hostess moved us to another table we were able to concentrate on the menu and have a conversation. As always, the food and service were excellent at Blue Agave - our server, Sam, was great - seeing to all of our needs and keeping the drink glasses full. Our food - steak tacos and fajitas and the best queso fundido ever - were excellent. Always enjoy coming to Blue Agave and Sundays on a non-game day are great since you don't have the usual weekend parking issues!
It has been several years since we ate at Blue Agave. We had two guests, one who had eaten with us in the past. The tortilla chips were basically crisp but a little affected by the humidity that day. Everyone liked it but didn't love the food. The Margaritas were all delicious - we shared a sip. The salsa, green sauce and roasted tomato combo was moderate. The entree was good and respectable.
Our server was busy. My coke was finished early on. I looked for the waitress and didn't see her. Our friends caught her later but it appeared to not be an alert service. I will chock it up to not being fast enough and our server being busy. She was a nice though. We would recommend it to friends but the food was better at our previous visit. There are not many Mexican restaurants on Open Table so we will return. P.S. We lucked out with parking!
The food was ok, a bit overpriced. If you have a large family be aware that for 5 people they add 19% gratuity. Especially when my server wasn't worth it. She came up missing and instead of bringing my son's food she was talking to coworkers. She brought it after i asked for the check. Definitely won't waste another 91dollars and you shouldn't either.
We enjoy Mexican and like to dine at Blue Agave. Our table was ready when we arrived. The food is very good and they give you good size portions. The service was very good and the waitress was friendly. My only comment for improvement about this visit was we were in a booth with a speaker near it. The music was loud and mostly hard rock difficult to carry on a conversation.
I ordered the enchiladas moles problano. It was tasty. However, I felt that the dish was overpriced. I have had the same dish at other restaurants for half the price. Most notably about my dinner was the pleasant and attentive service I had. Also, the red sangria was excellent. It was full of fresh fruit and made from a traditional recipe.
Second time at Blue Agave. Again, made reservations and were seated immediately. Asked for the table by the street, hostess hesitated and said that it was for a reservation. I kindly stated that we had a reservation and the table seats 4. She asked and we were seated at the table of our choice. The food was great, tried something different this time - fajitas all three! The Mango tequila was awesome -- a couple of pitchers later....lol... Can't wait to visit again soon.
We got two orders of fish tacos. One smelled fishy but he ate them anyway and then felt sick for two days. The other order was "tasteless" so she kept adding spices to give it flavor. Pretty expensive for 2 tacos on a plate. Other taco orders came with 3 tacos.
The restaurant was freezing. Another patron asked if they could close to front door to make it more comfortable, the waitress said, NO, they had to keep it open.
Everything was going well with dinner until I began eating and bit into raw chicken from my fajita platter. The server promptly replaced the chicken, and apologized. He even took my drink off the bill. My stomach hurt me all night until the next day. I understand that the kitchen was booming because it was Cinco de Mayo but raw chicken is unacceptable. I will never go back here..
