I continue to go back to BLT WP because of its convenient location. However, recently, every time I do, I regret it.
The service is friendly-ish. However, it is slow and choppy (I am not sure the Saturday night crew knows table assignments).
The food, usually reliable, is now a question. I had my usual, hanger steak ($37), but now "Hunter" style, topped with braised mushrooms. In a word: Gross. First of all, the dark brown mushrooms on the brown steak...you get the picture. Second, they taste terrible, way too sweet. I pushed the mushroom concoction off to the side but no one on the staff inquired.
Also, valet parking is an additional $10 and BLT does not validate. It takes way too long to retrieve the car too, but it is better than parking up the street for a reduced rate.
So, over $110 per person (including tip) for inconsistent service, mediocre food, loud dining room and nickel-and-dimed parking? It is time to find the time to find a White Plains replacement.
Great service very attentive staff.
The staff did a great job accommodating us for my wife's birthday. I would highly recommend them in the future for a special occasion.
Excellent as always!
Popovers are incredible...
Ordered the Porterhouse for two and it was so underwhelming. Flavorless and sad. The truffle mashed potatoes were great and so were the Popovers. Unfortunately will likely not return.
Food was excellent. Steak knives were disappointing and couldn’t cut anything!
I have been to BLT before and this was a most disappointing experience. We ordered filet mignon and a cowboy/ribeye steak. The filet was overcooked for a medium request, but I wanted to make the most of my wife's birthday celebration and not create a fuss. However , my wife's cowboy/ribeye was so tough that my wife could not eat it. A ribeye is her favorite and she always orders it at other steakhouses but what she experienced at BLT was poor. The waiter did not even come over to our table to see how the steaks were cooked. We had to flag down someone else who ended up taking back the ribeye and bringing my wife a new one. The second one was not much better than the first and she ended up taking it home for the babysitter. A most disappointing evening at BLT.
Food quality was really good but menu selection somewhat limited and not quite matching my taste
I have spent my entire life in the New York city area and have dined at almost every steak house and this was far and away the worst experience I have ever had at such an establishment. From the moment we sat down we were rushed to make decisions on everything from our water to our deserts. And what was most shocking was that that when our entrees arrived there were room temperature at best. I have never been to a steak house before where the best part of the meal were the side dishes!! Also while our server was rushing us through our meal she neglected to even attempt to pour wine for us as we had to pour our own wine twice (I know that sounds like a first world problem but when you pay in excess of $125 for a bottle of wine you would expect better service). The final straw came at the end of night when after 10 minutes of waiting (ironic because of how we were rushed through dinner) we had to go into the coat room ourselves to find our coats. In short not what I would expect from a "high end" establishment. Lastly they don't validate parking.
The best steak house in Westchester with the freshest popovers!
Awesome dinner at BLT! Came here to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and we had a great dining experience. He had the lamb which he said was cooked perfectly and I had the branzino which was excellently seasoned. The service was impeccable and everyone was attentive to us, not just our waitress!
We will definitely be back again and would highly recommend BLT to others in the Westchester area.
We were there for an anniversary, and were treated amazingly...can't wait to go back!
The food was excellent and the experience was one of a kind. Highly recommended this restaurant to everyone.
Visitor came from out of the country and wanted to eat a very good steak
We had a great night with two negatives. My steak was under cooked when sent out to me and the Brussels sprouts were over cooked as well. The Truffle mash was great. My wife’s steak was perfect and our dessert was delicious. My wife also strictly drinks cosmos and she said that they were fantastic.
Our service was really the star of the night. The management staff was very engaged with the guests and our server was always there when we needed him but never hovering. A nice quiet dinner. I would go back again and definitely recommend this as a great choice if you don’t want to travel into the city for a good steak. Thanks to everyone at BLT especially the AGM Anthony V for making our anniversary dinner a great one.
Table of 5, but they put us in the back room which is used for private parties. Felt like I was not part of the restaurant. Very disappointing
Food and service was outstanding ! The best meal I have ever had!
Wonderful, classy and delicious food!
This was a lovely place for a special dinner - with excellent food, terrific, friendly service and nice ambiance. The cost is very high - so would be hard to recommend to most people. On a Monday night, it was quiet and comfortable - not sure how it would be if fully seated.
Our steaks were great and the wedge salad was amazing. The popovers are to die for. Could have done without the "special" stuffed mushroom (not much taste) and onion rings had good presentation but were a strong ok.
The drinks were good and we had a nice dinner. Definitely pricey so more of a special occasion place for us. Like I said, if you are going for steak, you will enjoy
Service was a bit slow but the food and ambiance were excellent!!
We really enjoy BLT and this was the first time we took our daughter who’s 5. She had Mac n cheese as an appetizer which she enjoyed very much and a filet mignon as the main dish. She ate a good portion of it.
I had the 14oz bone in filet ordered Med rare and it was super tender and delicious. I accompanied it with grilled asparagus. My meal was over loaded with salt that i couldn’t even finish the asparagus. The steak was a bit salty as well. I do cook with salt and understand it adds flavor but it was way too much last. Our past experiences have not been overly salty.
However the steak was really tender!!!
My husband had the lobster bisque to start. He thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a huge bowl...
As his main dish he ordered the 20oz Cowboy steak and enjoyed his very much!
The service is always very good and attentive. Jamal was friendly, smiling and eager to accommodate you. We really enjoy ourselves when we dine here and will return, but next Tme I’ll tell them easy on the salt.
The service was excellent but the food didn't meet my expectation. I ordered a wedge salad and steak. I expected greatness from this restaurant. for the price you pay It's not worth it. Average salad that didn't have enough cheese or dressing. My steak was overcooked. It was our first time there. I'm glad we tried but we won't be going back.
Neat place. Great service. Good food. Ribeye not as large as you. Would think
Delicious as always! Edwin and Rafael were so kind and wonderful servers! We love the pate that comes with the bread!!
Excellent from beginning to end. Love all BLT restaurants. Amazing quality and service.
good food Nice surroundings great service
The waiter was great, but the managers were arrogant and lacked any will to explain kitchen issues the nice way. Our appetizers came before our bread and drinks. Poor kitchen and even worse managers. My steak was supposed to be medium rare, but was purple, then rare, then on third try they got it! There are many better steak places in Westchester and we will not be going back to BLT.
Terrific ambiance, great food & courteous staff. I had the Cowboy Ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. Also the popovers are incredible. I definitely will return.
Excellent food and service and would recommend for any occasion.
Over the years this restaurant has gotten better and better. The service was great and the food was excellent! It's a perfect spot for a special night out.
Good service at bar
Enjoyed a lovely dinner with friends on Ssturday night. The restaurant was crowded but not overwhelmingly so. There was a nice energy. The restaurant is beautiful! Eash of us was very happy with all parts of our meal, my beef was cooked pefectly. The popovers were a hit. I see some other reviewers have negative comments about the service, but I have to say we had a great experience. We are pretty indecisive and our waitress was patient, she checked back in with us frequently but not in a way that made us feel rushed. My one comment is that when I had a question on the wine list, the waitress was not able to assist, which is fine but I would have thought she could send over a sommelier, the wine list is extensive and expensive so I imagine there are dedicated trained servers who can assist. Basically the waitress told me she sees more people ordering one of my potential selections and not so many the other. I went with my first, most popular choice- it was fine. That being said, the staff was all very friendly and prompt and not at all intrusive.
Everyone was satisfied. The food was good and service was attentive. We would have preferred to be in the actual restaurant, however we were seated right by the front desk which I did not care for.
I made the reservation through the Ritz Carlton hotel where I was staying (BBT located at the first floor of the hotel). After dinner they told me dinner could not be charged to the room because Ritz Carlton and BBT were different entities. Sounded quirky. It embarrassed me in front of my guests.
Besides of that food was excellent.
Very disppointing really - quality of the steaks and the rest of the food was not up to NYC area steakhouse restaurants - very surprising
The food is excellent. We had skirt steak and salmon which were both delicious. THe desserts are fantastic.
The wagyu steak special was, special. Really exceptional. All the sides were tasty and the popover a real signature treat.
The seafood tower however was underwhelming - specifically the crab. Tuna tartar was better.
Edwin was the best & attentive server I’ve had here in a while. Loved him & his customer service values.
